We have discovered the four 'R's of cabin life....Rest, Relax, Replenish and Rejuvenate! Rest- Sleep with the windows open in the queen size bed with luxury sheets. Smell the scent of the trees. Awaken to the sun rise through the loft windows, or just sleep in! Relax- Read a book by the indoor wood burning fire place. Watch a movie on the DVD player or listen to your favourite music on the sound dock. Have a coffee or two on the deck nestled in the old growth forest. Or sit and watch the embers at the outdoor fire-pit surrounded by trees. Replenish- Enjoy the full kitchen with full size stove and fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The kitchen features a solid maple butcher block counter top. You can also cook up your favourites on the propane BBQ on the deck. Rejuvenate- Step into and indulge in the ceramic tile and glass block over sized shower. Enjoy the artisan hand-crafted all natural soaps from Vancouver Island which are yours to take home with you after your stay. Walk along the numerous trails of the Lily Point Marine State Park just steps from the cabin. The trail to the beach is a peaceful walk through the trees down to where the day could easily be spent exploring or just sitting back and enjoying the views of the Juan de Fuca Straight. The area is busy with eagles and wildlife. Views of the Gulf Islands as well as Vancouver Island and the mainland of Washington State are all there for you to enjoy as a backdrop.
200 sq ft loft accessible by stairs inside of the cabin. Queen size sleigh bed with luxury linens provided. Pillows and comforter are all down free. There are two camping cots available for extra guests, however, the privacy space is limited inside the cabin as it is most suited for two people. ...moreless

Point Roberts is 5 square miles of land that is part of Washington state. It is attached to Canada with a full border crossing that is open 24/7. The area is peaceful and serene. One could say that its so peaceful that the area is quite like a step back in time
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We purchased the property numerous years ago while we still lived on the lower mainland of Metro Vancouver. Now having moved to Vancouver Island our commute has gone from 45 minutes to over 4 hours for us to be able to enjoy the cabin. We completed a log home building course and found that this site was ideal for this type of structure. It took us five years from the initial clearing of the lot to fully finishing the cabin. This was mainly done on our days off from our full time jobs. We spent a lot of time on many details of the whole building to make it a unique cabin not often found in many places.
Why the Owner Chose Point Roberts: The cabin has been built with Douglas Fir logs. We purchased these 'logs' as untreated telephone poles from a pole company in Bellingham, Washington State. After many, many hours of sanding, the tiger tail design of the logs really came out. It is as if each log was talking and had its own unique story to tell. The rocks used for the indoor fireplace were all collected by ourselves and friends as well. If one looks deep enough into some of these rocks you will be able to see real shapes of real objects.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin: The services in Point Roberts allow you to not worry if you have forgotten something at home. The few stores will be able to accommodate items left behind and all at a very short distance from the cabin. There is a full grocery store completely stocked with everything a chef would need to create a meal.
