We recently spent a week at this amazing home and we absolutely loved it. The house is very clean and well cared for and the owner is very kind and extremely accommodating. Our daughter was graduating from Cal Poly so this was a very convenient location to the school and downtown San Luis, as well as many other places. We really enjoyed how close the house is to the beach, perfect for some quiet time or family walks. We biked in Avila, drove up to Big Sur, walked around the farmer's market in SLO, toured Cal Poly and just enjoyed spending time in such a beautiful place with our family all together again. This was our second stay here and we definitely would like to return. Thank you so much Debbie and family, for sharing your wonderful home with us....we truly feel blessed to have been able to find such a great place to stay and celebrate the graduation with friends and family.

This is such a beautiful home & everything about it makes you feel very comfortable. The beds and linens are really nice, and the kitchen has everything you would need! We actually had a hard time leaving the house! We could sit in the living room, open the slider & listen to the waves crash on the beach. It is SO nice to be able to walk across a very low traffic street to get to the beach. Even with our 1 1/2 year old daughter walking, it only took us about 2 minutes to walk to the beach! The owners are wonderful and SO nice to work with...you can tell they really take pride in their home! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your gorgeous home and helping us have an unforgettable vacation to the central coast! You will truly enjoy your stay here & we will be back very soon!

What an amazing house! We had such a wonderful time there. It is situated just across the street from the beach access and we had the beach to ourselves most of the time! The house is big and beautiful and was a perfect location for our family vacation (my parents, my wife and I, my brother and his wife, and my other brother and his family of five)! It couldn't be in a better location for doing all different kinds of activities. We went to Hearst Castle, went to the beach with the elephant seals, walked downtown SLO (which has a huge farmers market with performers and other booths on Thursday night), went to Morro Bay and walked the marina and Embarcadero, went hiking, etc. The neighbors were also very kind and welcoming also. The owners are wonderful people and made our stay there so pleasant and enjoyable! I highly recommend this house!

Our daughter was married this past weekend in Cayucos. We had searched long & hard for the perfect place to stay & I must say we found it. A very clean 2 story home just across the street from the beach access. It was able to accomodate a large supply of boxes that we had to bring with us for the beach wedding & reception, our family & friends. We were able to host some of the grooms family when we first arrived for dinner. The well stocked kitchen with a Viking stove & oven, very nice built in BBQ, deck for watching the sunset & a large family/eating area. We woke up to the sound of waves, could have coffee on the upper deck, walk easily to the beach for a sunset walk or see it from the house. Easy access to Hwy1 & to any neighboring area needed. I would definately go back when we could just go & relax. Thanks for opening your home to us. We all loved it.

This home a clean well kept, easy to located and access. It has all that a family, couple or group of friends that love the beach and has all the comforts and amenities for surfing and playing on the beach or making a gourmet dinner on the state of the art appliances and gazing out to the ocean, sounds romantic and calm. It is centraly located on the coast between Morro Bay (restaurants & shopping) and Cambria (arts and farmers market), that is if you want to leave the surroundings of the house - We stayed there most of the time because we couldn't ask for more. Would recommend it to everyone!

Our stay in the Hume's Beach House was everything we hoped for. The home was airy and well-kept, with beautiful ocean views from the top-floor great room. It fit our two families perfectly. We could all be together on the top floor or retreat to the many rooms for privacy. Beach access right across the street couldn't have been more convenient, and it was very affordable. We loved the well-equipped kitchen and used the many appliances, including ice-cream maker (!!), blender, cuisineart, waffle-maker, outdoor grill, etc. Wonderful Viking Range, too! In addition to the beach, we enjoyed biking into town, dinner in Morro Bay and just lounging in the beautiful home. The only thing we could have asked for was a few more warm days (Spring can be pretty windy on the coast.) We highly recommend this property and plan to come back soon.

My goodness the house was beautiful! It really felt comfortable and relaxing in the house. I didn't want to leave at all sunday morning. The beach access was literally steps away from the house. The people in the neighborhood were very pleasant. I loved that I could hear the waves crushing on the beach first thing when I woke up. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Oh and last but not least I loved the paper star light in the living room so before I left I went to morro bay and purchased one for my own home! Thank you again, I really appreciate you inviting my family & friends into your home.

Wow! How great to find a place that really looks like the pictures on line. We loved being steps from the beach in a dream coastal home. The house is clean, spacious and equipt with all the amenities. We look forward to becoming a frequent guest.

We just spent five days in April at this lovely house. It was stocked with every conceivable amenity, was immaculately clean and huge, with ample space for five active young children and three adults. The beach just across the street is clean, gorgeous, and safe for kids, with good surfing waves close by. There was so much to see and do -- hiking in Montana de Oro state park, the Elfin Forest, visiting Morro Rock, where we saw sea otters and their babies, and a drive up to Moonstone Beach in Cambria. We are already looking forward to a return visit. This place is a gem.

Our stay in the Hume home was exactly what we were looking for. It perfectly accommodated our varied group, in town for a wedding that turned into a beach vacation. Who would have guessed that we would be surfing and swimming in November? Even the groom, a local resident, spent most of his days at the house. The master suite provided the perfect setting for our small family (with a 4-month old) and our friends all enjoyed their own rooms downstairs. We were able to cook all of our meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and make full use of the fantastic BBQ. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you Humes!

My family and I (including a sister and her son from Indiana) stayed at the Hume's lovely home in April of 2005, and had an absolutely fantastic time! We arrived with 4 eager kids, and walked into an absolutely welcoming home. Steps away from the beach, we couldnt have asked for anything else. The kids loved the cozy house which was incredibly "homey", clean, well decorated and included many thougtfull touches. (You can tell its is a well loved and maintained home) The house is phenemenally well equipped, especially the kitchen. We fell in love with the Viking stove! We will def. come again. Hasnat Family

Beautiful home, neighborhood, and beaches! The perfect place to rejuvenate and gather with friends. Warm, spacious, comfortable, and light-- we were ready to move in! We had everything we needed, and felt truly pampered. The beach is breathtaking, too. What a deal! We are already planning our next trip! Thank you, Hume family!

I was shockingly pleased in how beautifully upkept the house was. It was bright, airy, and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was very nice being able to just put on my sandals and walk across the never busy street to the beach. It is an easy beach to get a suntan on, and enjoy the cool water. It is a quiet neighborhood and a quaint little town. I am very pleased to have stayed in this home and plan on doing it again. We had 8 people in our group and it was never too small. We think we may even have had room for 2 more people comfortably. I wish I had more time to spend there. Thanks for listing such an amazing space to get away to.
