Basic terms: Renters must be at least 25 yrs. After booking, I'd like to talk to answer any questions/cover terms. If all is well, you must agree to the rental agreement, provide a copy of your driver's license/ID, a $300 security deposit, $50 cleaning fee, 6% tourist tax and full rental payment. An extra person/child is $100. There is also a $50 fee per week nonreturnable charge for one pet, $100 for multiple weeks. The security deposit will be refunded within 14 days of the checkout date unless there are extenuating circumstances; see rental agreement. Checkin is 2:00 pm; checkout is 10:30 am. If a checkout doesn't precede you, you are welcome to checkin early; likewise with checkout later.

An 'evolving' book inside the house sets out many possible activities and places to eat, with an emphasis on art and culture (my personal interest) and consignment shopping. Too many to list here. Towns to the north and south are fun to explore too. West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno and Jupiter are to the north; Boynton Beach, DelRay Beach, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami are to the south.

About the owner: Travel has been a kind of avocation--a healthy obsession--more than 70 countries 'so far' in mostly the developing world. I have written a memoir about my travels, which started when I was 32. My boyfriend and I sold everything we owned and just went, the first trip for 2-1/2 years. I am settling down a bit now. When I visited Lake Worth for the first time with a friend, I fell in love with the many wee houses here. I wasn't really a Florida fan in the past. But Florida has been more and more culturally rich; many artists who have settled here have brought their talents and businesses. I love Lake Worth and other areas because of the art scene. It's also a real town with an unassuming feel, no high rises, chain restaurants or hotels (well, a Starbucks). I love the diversity of languages you hear up and down main street. Lake Worth just keeps getting better and I wanted to be a part of that.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Worth: My wee house was love at first sight, a Key West bungalow. The way the house sits back from the street, the TOTAL privacy (you can walk around naked and no one will see you), and the fine craftsmanship. A master carpenter who lived next door once owned and renovated both houses. Every contractor who enters my house is smitten because they appreciate the work.
