"Florida White" is the theme throughout our charming villa built in 2003 on a sprawling large double lot in the desirable deed restricted communiuty of Rotonda Lakes. A relaxed, comfortable beach house atmosphere only a few blocks away from the Rotonda Circle. Boaters-access the multitude of canals in South Gulf Cove, Interceptor Lagoon, the Myakka River, Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf of Mexico from our backyard fish/boating pier! Bring your boat or rent one. 120 feet on the Butterford Waterway, this is the only canal in Rotonda where you have access to salt water. All the other waterways simply go around in a 20 mile circle leading nowhere. Cruise the waterways or fish the salt waters of Charlotte Harbor where the "World Tarpon Tournament" is held each year. Catch many tasty species of fish including red fish, snappers, tilapia, snook, flounder makerel, shark, cobia, grouper to name a few. Watch for the playful dolphins & hippo-like manatees in the harbor. For the golf enthusiast, we have 5 local courses in Rotonda, Eighteen & nine holes. Four new mountain bikes/helmets available for your recreation pleasure. The county has developed the old southern railway right of way into a scenic macadam covered "hike" or "bike" trail which leads directly south towards the beaches of Gasparilla & Boca Grande or north to the nearby Publix sparkling clean shopping mall. 16+ miles of natural beauty through the surrounding area with many lakes, canals & safe roadways. The Cape Haze trail intersects Bay Tree Drive about 2-3 blocks east. We are minutes away from the pristine white sand beaches of Gasparilla Island, Boca Grande, Englewood and Manasota Keys. Miles of beaches to choose from - picnic & shower facilities as well - No traffic jams!
Wildlife? Yes, at the local tiki bars as well as in our backyard! On rare occasions, a handsome seemingly tame, bearded bobcat visits - we are quite happy to have a chain-linked fence around our lanai & property! Our bird feeder attracts all sorts of colorful exotic species. The waterway is full of fish, unusual ducks, cranes, egrets, pelicans and turtles.Towards evening you might have the fortune of spotting "Curious George" off our well lit pier. At times you feel as if you're at one of those safari theme parks!!! At the end of a busy fun filled day you are thankful to return to the solace & relaxation that our villa provides. Your master bedroom has a king bed, 2 large dressers, 2 nightstands, a variable speed ceiling fan, an armoire with a TV entertainment center, walk-in closet, attached bath with tiled shower, his & her sinks, and one of 3 sets of slider glass doors that lead to our totally secluded lanai and lighted private pool. Our Association operates a neighborhood watch program - stay in one of the safest communities in Florida.

Thank you Toni & Ernie for a fantastic holiday. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. It was clean and well maintained and felt more like a "home from home" than a holiday rental, very relaxing and comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. We will definitely come back in the future. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of not being overlooked by other properties. It was good to sit by the pool in the evening with a glass or two of wine with music playing through the outside speakers. We have been to Englewood several times over the past few years and some of our favourite places are Manasota Key with the best beaches, good food at the Lock n Key and having a drink outside watching the sunset, Boca Grande and Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda. If you get chance go to Ponce de Leon in Punta Gorda and visit the bird sanctuary and also good for sunsets. Dearborn Street has an old feel of Florida to it with good individual shops and restaurants. Lemon Bay is another of our favourites with a nature trail, the first time we went we were lucky to see a bald eagle fly over us.
Owner response:Thanks, Karen, for taking the time out to leave a message on our VRBO website. Many rentors send us these really positive e-mails unfortunately they don't get past our computer for other potential rentors to read. Your thoughts on the home and surrounding area are exactly our sentiments as well. We've been down since Christmas and are heading North January 15th. We hate to leave, but are booked up solid until May right now. We encourage more of our rentors to leave us a review. Thanks, hope to have you come back again soon. Ernie & Toni Wolff

Thanks Toni and Ernie, Your home is emaculate. The house, yard and pool is well maintained. Everything you need is there: including a thread and needle, spices, batteries, light bulbs etc...... We were only 15 minutes away(driving) to englewood beach. Only 5 minutes to a grocery store. There is a bike path a very short distance away. The air-conditioning broke down in the night and Ernie had someone out to fix it within 2 hours!!!! Amazing, Thanks so much for sharing your home with us we had a fantastic time!!! I would highly recommend this property to friends and family.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed here first two weeks in August 2007 and had a wonderful time. Everything was clean and all we could possibly need was there - and more! We enjoyed the quiet peacefullness of the villa's location and had some fun fishing and photographing 'George' from the boat dock. It was so cool to listen to music in every room and even in the pool (just as well there are no neighbours) - Total Bliss.

Stayed here the first week of March and was surprised at how private the area is. No homes on either side which makes this home very quiet. Large screened patio and large fenced yard area makes it perfect for kids. The pool heated up nicely even though it was cold a couple of nights. There was everything you would need at the home. Owners, Ernie and Toni, are very nice to work with and available whenever we had a question. Thanks for renting us your home while you were stuck in freezing weather in NJ. I didn't think I could take the heat in Florida during the month of July - but you were right. It was surprisingly like the heat in NJ in the summer. Your shaded lanai and ice cold air conditioning was a blessing. I was able to get around in my wheelchair just fine. I miss the place already and hope to get back one of these years God willing.

The pool was nice and hot - just the way I like it. Jumped in as soon as Ian and I arrived from the airport that night. All in all everything worked out well. You need to purchase an electric teapot. Regards, Val

Do not return my security. Keep it for a deposit on another month in 2007. I had a wonderful time as did my family and friends who visited. I'll call with a new reservation date. See you next season.

Everything worked out well. We had a great time. I brought my kayak with me and enjoyed the wildlife and backwater fishing. Seriously thinking about rerenting your place in January-February 2007. If you ever think about selling, please contact me first.
