  Fantastic location. Apartment has all facilities required. Great for family or up to 4 friends. Clean and tidy with everything required for self-catering. Close to St Marks and Rialto. Open windows to hear locals singing. Walk to end of street and watch gondolas go by.Nearby - 2 minutes in both directions takes you to main areas and shops. Rialto close for vaporetto. Would definitely go back and would recommend.

  We chose this apartment based on previous reviews. The property was close to both San Marco Piazza and Rialto Bridge, as advertised. But the rest of our experience did not measure up to the advertised apartment and was quite terrible! The HomeAway advertisement said English plus several other languages were spoken for this property. The person meeting us was very friendly, but spoke no English. Even hand signals did not help us get any information on the apartment or of Venice. The owner who communicated with us prior to renting the apartment was not available when needed. The apartment shown to us was dark, dirty and had dead bugs. It did not have essentials. There were two rolls of toilet paper and when we requested more, we were referred to a store to buy our own. We requested to see other available apartments and finally settled on an apartment one floor above the one that was originally shown to us. It was slightly cleaner. When alone in this apartment, we found the following: -There was no power to the TV. We personally had to trace the power cable behind a large console, and then move the console to plug in the T.V. -Some of the dishes and silverware had food caked on them. -There were two lights burned out over the sink in the bathroom. We found light bulbs and replaced them. -The shower had poor water pressure, more like a soft dribble. -The toilet would not flush, if we or any one else in the entire building, were using the water. -The advertisement said that there were clothes washing facilities in the apartment. It consisted of a washing machine and an expandable rack for drying the clothes. With Venice’s humid weather, it took two days to dry any washed clothes. We were told by the owner’s partner who did speak English, that the apartment was not as advertised. He said that our initial communication with the property via HomeAway was not his partner’s doing and did not know whom we were talking with. Perhaps HomeAway.com should look into this. We agreed to remain in the apartment two days, the minimum number of days they required. We left immediately after the two days and found a three star hotel for 12 euros more per day.   Owner response: Mr. Ronald booked for 6 nights and wanted to go away after having arrived from just 5 minutes. He said that the apartment was not what he had booked and he showed me the picture of another apartment. Evidently he had sent requests also to other apartments, he messed up and he thought he had booked another apartment. Mr. Ronald is a person completely unreliable. He rent an apartment to save money but he demands the services of a 3 star hotel.

  We are a family of four, with 2 young boys. We found this apartment to be fabulous. It was a fabulous location, minutes walk from both San Marco Piazza, and Rialto Bridge. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, well equipped and no problems. Franco met us, and showed us to the apartment, and was very thorough in his explanations of everything. One of the things the owner, Michele, had done for visitors to his apartment, which we thought was a fantastic help, was to have typed up notices around the apartment explaining about rubbish, heating, check out info including where to leave the keys. He had a map on the door, marked with all the essentials like supermarket eta and a timetable for water taxis etc,. Very smart and considerate. Great apartment, great location. Would recommend it, and we would stay again.

  Many thanks to both Michele and Franco. As the other reviewer pointed out, Franco does not know much english, nevertheless - no problemo - a lovely person and quite funny too. The apartment is quite clean with very good facilities and most of all exactly where you want to be - San Marco. One minute in one direction takes you to San Marco and 5 minutes in the other direction to Railto bridge. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and when I visit next, I know where to stay and who to contact. :)

  Michelle/Franco We loved Venice! The apartment was very nice; the location was amazing it is right in the middle of everything. Two very small negatives, there are stairs (we Americans are not so used to walking and we got pretty tired), and the gentleman that met us and showed us the apartment did not speak English (he did speak Italian and French). He was however absolutely charming and very good natured about explaining to us all of the features of the apartment and even though we did not speak the same language we really had no trouble at all communicating with each other. We have promised ourselves that we will come back again, hopefully sometime next year and would absolutely plan to rent this apartment again. It is a great value and we felt very safe and comfortable! Thanks Michele for all the help.

  Great location two minutes from san marco square in the heart of Venice. Great apartment replete with all the essentials. The landlord was brilliant, and he even allowed us space to leave our luggage after checking out, as we had a few hours to spend in Venice till we had to board the bus. In all, it deserves two thumbs up! Thanks Michele for all the help. Cheers.

  Das Beste an diesem Apartment ist wirklich die Lage, man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Rialto Bruecke und auf dem Markusplatz. Wir wussten, dass man bei dieser zentralen Lage auch etwas Laerm auf sich nehmen muss. Aber, da das Apartment direkt ueber einer Bar/Restaurant/Cafe im 1. Stock liegt, hoert man von 7 Uhr morgens bis 23 Uhr die Musik aus dem Cafe (manchmal nur die Baesse, haeufig kann man den Titel erkennen), man hoert, wenn der Kaffeesatz aus der Espressomaschine geklopft wird und wenn unten jemand lacht oder sich etwas lauter unterhaelt. Ausserdem kommen die Gerueche aus der Restaurantkueche auch bei geschlossenem Fenster in den Aufenthaltsraum/Kueche des Apartments, so dass man entweder vom abgestandenen Geruch von Fritierfett, Fisch oder Pizza empfangen wird, wenn man am Abend in die Wohnung zurueckkommt. Man hoert auch, wenn und wohin jemand in der Wohnung darueber geht, ein Stuhl gerueckt wird oder jemand hustet. Die einfache Ausstattung braucht dringend eine Ueberholung: Die grosse Kochplatte des Herdes funktionierte nicht (offensichtlich schon laenger, weil die Beschriftung, dass die Platte nicht funktioniert schon abgegriffen war). Als wir an einem kuehleren Abend die Heizung einschalten wollten, wurde kein Heizkoerper warm. Die Kuehlschranktuer liess sich nur mit Gewalt schliessen. Die beiden Matratzen im Doppelbett waren jeweils 10 cm zu schmal, so dass sie laufend verrutschten. Das Apartment war relativ sauber und ordentlich und Michele und Franco waren sehr nett, aber unser Aufenthalt war aus den oben genannten Gruenden nicht sehr angenehm und wir koennen das Apartment nicht weiter empfehlen.

  We stayed there for a week, it was perfect. The location couldn't be better. It is right in the center. The apartment itself is clean, equipped with everything that's necessary. The guy who picked us up, indeed only spoke Italian and French but we managed. You can actually leave you luggage in the house if you have to check-out (at 11) and still have time until your flight departure. The best part about the apartment is the owner himself, he is really committed and you can actually really call him when you have a question or problem. I never experienced that before in all my travel experiences- great guy. That made many things a lot easier. Again, thanks, Michele for all you help, we had a lovely week. I can only recommend this place and I would definitely go there again.
