I was looking for the perfect condo for my return to Sundance in 2012 and found it here. Martin and Diorling were perfect hosts. The condo is 5 Min from Main st. Park City. It was absolutely gorgeous and one of the nicest places I had the pleasure of staying in during any of my travels. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away for the week or weekend in Park City. I will be back next year for sure!

It is a very well maintained property with lots of high-end amenities you will not find in a hotel. We had two small childrewn with us so we really enjoyed having a room full of toys, a high chair and booster seat already in the unit. Martin is very helpful in the rental process. The unit is a very close walk to the base of the ski lift in upper deer valley which we rode very day in the summer with our young kids. We loved walking over to the Stein for breakfast. One thing to note is that in the middle of the day it can get a little warm even in upper deer valley in the summer and the unit does not have AC. It is very cool at night and in the mornings so you simply sleep with the windows open to cool down.

Owner response:One of the special amenities we offer our guests is a wide range of toys, games, books, dolls, DVD's for children. Each summer we add more and more special children items for our guests with children to enjoy. Summertime in Park City, Utah is very special and for our family we try and come out to Deer Valley to escape the high humidity and heat of Florida. Temperatures in Upper Deer Valley average 10 degrees below that of Park City and 20 degrees cooler than Salt Lake City. Average temps in June are 60's during the day and 40's at night. That increases to 70's and 50's for both July and August. For this reason most properties do not have air conditioning. Our family usually keeps the windows open day and night and we do have ceiling fans to circulate the air as well. Consider Deer Valley in the summertime - highly recommended.

We stayed at this townhome last summer - June 2011 and words cannot begin to describe how beautiful, upscale, clean, and simply amazing this home is. We are seasoned travelers and this is without a doubt one of the most fantastic place we have stayed! The pictures, although great just can't begin to give you the real "picture" of what it is like to stay here. It is warm, homey, beautiful with everything you need and more. We plan to go back and rent this unit again during ski season but for all those summer travelers out there we would go back again in the summer as well. My husband and son actually skied in June and had a great time biking using the ski lifts. We can't wait to come back winter, spring and summer! We loved it more than words can say and the owner was incredibly helpful and went way beyond what was normal to help us have a great vacation. We would recommend this property to anyone who is interested. You will want to come back for many years to come as we plan to. Happy Travels!!

Great Time in deer Valley

We had a great time in Deer Valley while staying at this property. It had a lot of great amenities that made our stay enjoyable. Martin was always available if we had any questions or concerns. We have skied and many places and this by far the best place we have stayed. We had 4 kids with us and we loved how close we were to the lifts - 5 min walk. Highly Recommended!!!!

Perfect Ski Vacation Spot!

We just spent a fantastic two weeks at the Hering's Silver Lake Townhome and could not have been happier! The Ridge is a fantastic place to stay - a very short walk to the lifts, shops and restaurants of Silver Lake Village. The unit was wonderful - very well appointed, clean and perfect for our family. The condo includes so many nice touches, when we weren't on the slopes, we enjoyed our time indoors! Finally, renting from them has been a pleasure, they are always accessible and truly go out of their way to make your stay the best it could be! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

We had an amazing time at Ridge #11. While the property isn't ski-in/out, it is a 7 minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge which was exceedingly convenient both for a skiing during the day, and dinner at night. To us, it is the most convenient place in the resort, and the Hering's place is priced SO reasonably. Add the price to the amenities they supply and you've got yourself a deal! The condo is perfectly laid out - lots of space and the vertical floorplan means that everyone has privacy. There is every a/v perk available and the furniture is very comfortable and cozy! Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us - we will definitely be back!

We stayed at the condo in Silver Lake and had the best time! The house was very comfortable - a nice oasis to come home to after a hard day of skiing. The beds were awesome and the condo is very nicely appointed. Loved the hot showers and the hot tub! Martin has thought of every last detail. Loved it!

Plus for those that prefer a steam bath we have a wonderful steam shower in the master bedroom bath (plus a Jacuzzi tub in the master as well).

This is a lovely, comfortable, excellently stocked condo just a short walk from the mid-mountain lifts, shops and restaurants. Our 2 kids loved the vast array of toys, we loved being able to cook in a well-appointed kitchen with lots of ingredients (olive oil, spices...). Martin goes out of his way to ensure that his guests have an outstanding experience. We comfortably fit 4 adults and 2 kids in the condo.

We stayed at Martin's place in Silver Lake and it was amazing. Perfectly clean and wonderfully appointed. Very classy and high end finishes. I personally own 2 vacation homes and was completely impressed by the care Martin takes with every detail of the home and ammenties. The home is perfect for 2 families. The beds are cozy and really comfortable and anything you would need for children of any age is provided for you. Highly recommend!!!

The western decor, the fine bathrooms, the beautiful living room, and the comfort and beauty of your home were beyond compare. There could not be a nicer place to stay in all of Deer Valley. Our family spent a week at The Ridge #11 townhouse in June and had an incredible family experience! The location was perfect for enjoying Park City, the PC Mountain Resort (one of the kid's favorites!), train rides, and of course a multitude of Utah's natural wonders were only a short drive away. Great facilities with a warm feeling and even an office that I needed to use for my job one day. We could not have had more fun - our sincere thanks to the owners for a trip we will never forget!

Taylor Vacation: We had such a wonderful experience in the Ridge Townhome. This multi-level residence allowed for privacy with two families staying on property. We stayed at the Herings' Ridge townhouse for a week this past March and cannot recommend the property highly enough. The property works extremely well for two families. The beds were fabulous, the bathrooms were awesome and the icing on the cake was the mini- Aveda products. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a great supply of staples. From the Wii to the working BBQ on the deck to the boot driers in the garage, the owners have thought of every amenity. The owner was very responsive to any questions (such as cable TV workings). The house was a 5-minute walk to the Silver Lake Lodge. We stayed in another property the prior year and the Herings' townhouse was far superior to that one. We are already planning our return to the Ridge.

The Ridge #11 townhouse in Deer Valley is exceptionally comfortable and has many amenities. The location and accessability to the Silver Lake lift is great. There were eleven of us in our group. We had plenty of space and a fabulous vacation while residing at Ridge #11. The caretaker and owner are top shelf folks.

I would like to sincerely thank Martin Herring for sharing his lovely home in Deer Valley. The views were spectacular, the residence was more like a fully equipt home, not a rental and the feeling of family exudes from the decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our family's Thanksgiving trip and even invited the in-laws! There was plenty of room for all to enjoy without being on top of each other. It was easy to access the home originally and thereafter, and just a pleasure overall. I would strongly recommend this lovely vacation home for short or longer stays. Nice location. Owner has thought of most everything. If you are arriving at night, stop at a convenience store in Park City first - we had no milk when we arrived and there is no "7-11" near the condo in Deer Valley.

Owner response:All the basics are supplied in the kitchen - coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, full range of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. Perishables are not supplied however we can arrange for any food items such as eggs, bacon, orange juice, milk, and cereal to be there upon your arrival. There is also an Albertsons grocery store that is 3 miles from the unit and is open until midnight.

# 11 Ridge is one of the better appointed rental condo's we've stayed in anywhere. It was like staying in a freinds condo in that the place was funished and stocked well (extra blankets, plenty of towels etc.). and also had things like dvd players, Wii, Xbox etc that kept the kids very happy. Having rented other units in the Ridge, I can say that the Hering's went the extra mile to have basic stuff like dishwasher and laundry detergent as well as a pantry with spices etc. This makes it much easier upon arrival. That much less to buy and then ultimately throw away less than half used when you leave. We had a full house and it worked out great.

We had a wonderful time here in Deer Valley with your home making the splendid weather conditions a perfect spring break package. We will consider bringing along some friends the next time to fill the quarters, we felt like we had too much space! The distance to the Silver Lake Lodge and lift area seemed like a long walk day one but like no distance at all after day 2 and 3. Having skied for more than 40 years and having seen a lot of resorts in the Alps, this spot is really special.

The Ridge Condo #11 is absolutely gorgeous- decorated as you would want your own vacation home decorated with high quality furnishings, paintings, etc. This does not feel like a "rental" but rather like someone's very well kept home. I can't decide what my favorite moment of the vacation was - maybe the minute we walked in and saw the warm and gorgeous decor, or maybe the laughter of happy exhausted children in a hot tub surrounded by snow, or it could have been waking up this morning to heavy snowfall through the picture-perfect windows here. We wouldn't change a thing here- it really made for a perfect vacation in the snow. The walk to Silver Lake Lodge was as promised, very do-able, and we loved leaving our skis at the check-in! It was an easy walk to dinners at the Chateaux and Goldener Hirsch, and we even bbq'd one night in the snow. Our compliments again on the decor, the rugs, artwork and furnishings were all appreciated. All our best.

We have had the most memorable Christmas - We are coming back next year!! What a fabulous town home with beautiful amenities. We skied every day! Christmas Eve we sledded down Stein Eriksen hill in a blizzard. We happy houred at Stein's with fondue and hot chocolate. We ate at Grappa (restaurant) next to Jerry Steinfeld and Lisa Kudrow, very fun to see the celebs. We heard it was 80 degrees and raining at home, so a white Christmas was wonderful. Bob and Stef visited the Silver Mountain Sports Club for a great afternoon workout. Last night we visited Waso for dinner. We had a wonderful family getaway and are counting the days until our return for Christmas 2008!! Thank you!

Thank you so very much for offering your wonderful home! It was perfect for our family to spend the Thanksgiving vacation. I am writing in red for the University of Utah Utes! My son plays freshman quarterback for the UTES and we are off to the big game. Making dinner here and having my son and 2 of his teammates for Thanksgiving was the BEST! We loved the shopping in Park City and the restaurants were superb! Only things missing was snow-but we found some man-made to as least sled down. The Hering unit is very spacious and very well appointed. They have tried to make it as close to your own home environment as possible including internet, food supplie and the like. Our family thought it was among the best properties we have stayed at across many locales. There are some drawbacks, however. Though advertised as ski-in/ski-out, you have either a 7 or 8 minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge or a walk to a downhill trail from which you cannot return. I guess the definition of ski-in/ski-out may vary, but you will not be able to leave the unit and put on your skis within a few feet of the door. The larger beds were very soft, but that is, of course, a matter of taste. Finally, the management company was not as responsive as it should have been to problems. These problems combined do not make the unit at all undesirable, but one should reflect upon them before contracting.

Owner response:Our Ridge town home is an easy 5 minute walk from Silver Lake Lodge and the mid mountain slopes of Deer Valley. There is a ski access trail 2 minutes walk from our property. It is not ski-in/ski-out nor promoted that way. We do own a ski-in/ski-out residence which can be accessed on the VRBO web site as listing 68593. In regards to our mattresses they are all newly purchased and have excellent support. We did make a change in our management company for the 2007-08 ski season and the reviews from guests have been excellent.

Absolutely perfect! This condo has everything you could ask for. It is beautiful, clean, and stocked with everything you need. It is especially nice for families with young children. Very easy to get to the slopes, especially if you store your skis and boots at the lodge. If you need babysitting Sara's Sitters is great (435-640-7193). Thanks to Martin and his incredible hospitality this is one of the nicest places to stay in Deer Valley!

We stayed here the week of Sundance and it couldn't have been better. The house itself was first class, every detail was taken care of. Everyone loved the flatscreens and digital cable. Every minor detail was taken care of, the house was newly renovated and it had the feeling you look for in a vacation home. From the decor to the private hot tub to the grill on the deck overlooking the slopes, there isn't one thing I could think of that was missing. The Silver Lake village lodge and ski slopes are a quick 1 minute walk away as well as top restaurants and lodges. The Park City nightlife was also a quick drive or cab ride away so it wasn't inconvenient at all to go back and forth. Martin the owner made sure everything was perfect and truly does a great job keeping the house up. We plan on making the trip an annual event.

What a great vacation! We spent the week of MLK's Birthday in the Herring's Town House in Deer Valley. It is very well situated to the ski slopes and is an easy walk. If we didn't feel like walking the property management company was happy to send a complementary shuttle to pick us up at the town house and drop us at the slopes. They were also happy to do the reverse in the afternoon. The town house is a big 3 bedroom, each with its own bath, with a big kitchen and family room. My kids loved the fact that there were plasma TV's in each bedroom, family room and also had an XBox and computer for them to use. When we visited it was record cold temperatures each day so the hot tub was especially appreciated. The other really nice thing that we found was that the pantry was very well stocked, so it took a bit of the pressure off of having to go to the store immediately, as we arrived very late at night. We made sure to replace what we used but is was very nice not having to deal with it the first day. Lastly, the town was clean, in very good condition and Mr. Herring could not have been nicer and more responsive. We look forward to renting this home again and would highly recommend it to friends.

We spent the week before Christmas and Christmas weekend at this wonderful place. The condo is lovely, spacious, beautifully decorated, well- stocked and feels luxurious. We especially enjoyed the living/kitchen/dining area for "apres-ski" cooking, lounging, movies, scrabble. We left our skis and boots at the Silver Lake Lodge each day, and it was a short easy walk each day to get to skiing. We dined up at Silver Lake most nights; plenty of choices there. We also went down to Park City for great meals there. Would definitely recommend...

Our family had looked forward to this vacation for months and we were not disappointed. The town house is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed to be comfortable. I'll always remember sitting on the deck in the mornings drinking coffee, watching the birds and enjoying the sound of silence. What fun we had finding moose, deer, chipmunks and gorgeous flowers. We especially enjoyed the short ride to Sundance where we ate outside in the Foundry Restaurant. Another favorite was the Garden Restaurant on the roof of the Joseph Smith building in Salt Lake City where we visited to do geneology work. After riding the lifts to view the gorgeous landscape from the mountain tops, we enjoyed dining outside at the Royal Street Cafe. As you can see, we have enough wonderful summer memories to get us through the winter! Thank you, Susan and Martin, for all you did to make our vacation possible. You went out of your way to make sure we had this dream vacation. We'll never forget this experience.

We had a "beyond marvelous" time. I searched the web for several hours before finding your place and it was certainly worth the search. We did find everything we needed and then some. It was great to find plenty of clean towels, dishes, etc... We had 3 groups of friends visit one night and they all thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We look forward to your Florida Properties if we head that direction and we will look forward to another get-away again. I was so impressed with the completeness of everything - videos, flat screens, books, etc.. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

We really enjoyed the Ridge at Upper Deer Valley. Weather was beautiful and the accommodations were just fantastic. There was nothing that was left undone! We will definitely be returning in the near future!

We had a wonderful time at Deer Valley. We have been going there for several years but this was our first time at this condo and we loved it. It is so well equipped, you feel like you are at home. We will definitely go back.

Dear Martin, I just got home last night from Deer Valley and wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. You really did a spectacular job with it & the location is terrific. I had the flu when I arrived so I had to miss the 1st day of skiing, but was so grateful to have a comfortable place in which to recuperate. It snowed almost the whole time, so conditions the next 2 days were sensational. My girlfriends and I all wanted to stay longer, but each of us had work & family obligations. Owner response:It sure is a nice place to recuperate when one is not feeling well. My wife too was under the weather during our spring break visit. Over the last week (March 11-18) we have had over 2 feet of snow and much more is in the forecast. Whoever comes in late March and early April will be in for a treat - no crowds and outstanding ski conditions!

Martin- What a great home! Love your renovations as it was more comfortable than we ever could have imagined. We had 7 of us ranging in age from 2 to 62. Great access to Silver Lake and the wonderful restaurants we visited. Blind Dog great for sushi and Prime is great for steaks.

Martin: Had a blast. Everything at your place was A-plus. Right there by Stein's and easy access to Grappas. Hot Tub hot, clean and private also key. Off the charts snow conditions didn't hurt at all. We'll be back for sure.

Martin- Wonderful place! Everything was as-advertised and better! The location is outstanding and you've done a great job of renovating the townhome. We had plenty of room and the accomodations were first class. This is a repeat-visit place for sure!
