our cabin is located in the North Georgia Mountains just 50 feet from clear, rushing Mountaintown Creek and has something for everyone. Great for a family vacation, a get-away with friends, a few days spent mountain biking, fall and holiday visits... Mountaintown may be called a creek, but since it is 20-30 feet wide and 2-4 feet deep in the middle, it is more like a small river.
Want to get away from it all, but still need to be connected to the outside world? Do you have children that want to keep in touch with friends, etc.? Bring your laptop! We now have wireless highspeed internet.
You can completely relax and do nothing at all but listen to the sounds of nature while lounging on one of three large decks (both open and covered) or soaking in the hot tub overlooking the creek. Or you can play pool, wade or float in the creek, fish for trout, relax around a fire in the pit next to water as lovely as any riverfront. If you choose to leave the cabin, the area is filled with things to do. Start the day with a treat at the coffee shop in Historic Old Ellijay at the roundabout, then stroll through the different shops and antique stores. The more adventurous can hike, mountain bike, tube, river raft, boat, etc. Day trips can be taken to Helen, Dahlonega, Chattanooga, Amicalola Falls, etc.
Our cabin is extremely easy to reach (just 6 miles from historic Ellijay and 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta), with it's own paved driveway only a mile off a main highway. It sits on about 3 wooded acres with 200 feet along Mountaintown Creek which is stocked by the state with trout. There are three stories. The main floor of the cabin has a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom w/queen bed, and bathroom with W/D. The upstairs has a loft, separate bedroom w/queen bed, and a bathroom. The downstairs has a bedroom w/queen bed, bathroom, and large game room with pool table.
Enjoy your time away with the finest that a creekfront cabin vacation rental has to offer!
