We had a lovely week at the beach house. It is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a great vacation. The only disapointment we had was we were not able to use the dvd player. The beach is very private, water is beautiful but a bit rough if you have little kids....lots of waves and a bit of an undertow. The house is in a beautiful, quiet residential area with great walking paths.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We've read that "heaven is closer in a beach house" and its so true. But I'm sure it was not any beach house: it was this one! We enjoyed everything, from walking to cooking, from fishing to playing in the sun.

My husband and I thoroughly relaxed at your lovely beach house. The formula was perfect for a fabulous time: surf + sun + sand + sunsets = relaxation. We cannot say enough positive comments for your accomodations here! All that you provide for your guests to feel "at home" is truly wonderful. The personal touches and communications with us both before and during our stay was most appreciated. Next time we feel the need for some beach time, we will most certainly think "The White Orchid."

We had a great time at your beach house! Thank you very much for sharing. It was very relaxing. We found the Riverside Grille to be a lot of fun and good food. We enjoyed watching the sunsets at the pier while watching the dolphins and manatees. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It was the most relaxing week! The pictures online don't even compare to the real thing. You did such a great job decorating! We went to Captain Hirams like you suggested and we loved it! Food, music and the view was fantastic. The best pizza by far was Bizzaro's in Melbourne. We didn't cook at all so it truly was a vacation for me. We would love to come back some day!

It has been a fun week for 3 couples - our 13th consecutive year of golf and enjoying each others' company in a great location. We enjoyed birding at Sebastion Inlet, Merritt Island, Ft. Pierce, etc. - over 60 species. The house is comfortable and we really enjoyed the views. We had a really cool week and enjoyed beach walking and shelling - even watching for treasure.

We are so lucky to have found the beach house. We had our dream wedding on the beach in front of a small group of our family and close friends. The setting was so perfect - and the night was capped off by not 1, but 2 loggerhead turtle nestings!!! We've had such a fantastic time that our guests are already asking about the 1 year anniversary reunion. This place is awesome and we can't wait to return.

We had a great time celebrating our Grandparents 50th Anniversary at this beach house. We found many seashells to make jewelry with. We caught so many fish from the dock. We saw many creatures like a manatees, dolphins, stingrays and crabs. Lots of great memories were made here and we had a lot of fun.

What a blessing this beach house was for our family! We truly enjoyed every square inch-- from the beach to the dock on the river. We saw turtles, bunnies, birds, fish--even a shark. This was the perfect setting for our family vacation and we hope to return next year.

The beach house provided the perfect setting for our wedding and reception. We are reunited high school sweethearts who grew up in Vero and Sebastian and finally found the treasure we were looking for. Growing up surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the ocean and river is something we have never taken for granted. This beach gal and her river rat husband plan to return here each year--our first "family tradition."

This was the second time we spent most of January here at the White Orchid beach house. This place has all the features of the perfect beach house; location, cozy furnishings, and great water views from all the windows. A great place to escape the Chicago winter. It is a "family" home and we have loved having all our children and grandsons with us here. We look forward to future stays.

Paradise Indeed! Our family spent two glorious weeks in this beautiful, well- equipped beach house, escaping the snow and cold of Minnesota. We spent our days on the beach and our evenings on the dock saluting the sunset. We saw manatees and dolphins--an added treat. On two cold days, we stayed in cooking and enjoying the fireplace. The time flew by! Thank you for your generous hospitality. We will be back!

What a great way to spend Labor Day weekend. This house has the best of both worlds. The ocean in the backyard and the intracoastal waterway in the front. Beautiful views from all windows and great sunrises. Mike thanks for the fun boat ride down to the tiki hut restaurants in Fort Pierce. Had an awesome time.

What a glorious vacation! The weather was great and we even enjoyed the one stormy day. The furnishings of your lovely house made us feel like we were staying in a luxury hotel. We did get to see a couple of baby turtles on the beach, making their way to the ocean. There were lots of turtle nests that had been marked and we saw the tracks of a loggerhead that had come up onto the beach to lay her eggs. We had a lovely day riding on a rented pontoon boat down the Indian river. We saw some dolphins swimming by. On the day it rained, we visited the Mel Fischer Treasure Museum and the McLarty Treasure museum which were right down the beach from the house. We then purchased some snorkels and goggles to do some treasure hunting of our own. On behalf of all of my family, thank you for allowing us to experience the pleasure of your beach house.

The family reunion was another great success. We are so glad we stayed two weeks this year. We really enjoyed ourselves at your beautiful beach house. We saved 2 small loggerheads turtles from crabs. Still have not caught a mom laying eggs, but saw lots of tracks. had lots of fun.

What a glorious week we had, spectacular weather & is there ever anyone on the beach? I think 2 or 3 people would walk by each day. The house was so pretty and comfortable that we were able to settle right in and have a great time. Sure beats 50 degrees and rain in Minneapolis.

If you're lucky enough to rent this house, you will definately be happy. It was perfect. Being from the 'south', we loved the lack of traffic (human and cars). The house was well maintained, furnished comfortably (not tacky), everything brand new and the floor plan was great, loved the adjoining bathroom for the two queen bedrooms. Our teenagers loved the downstairs room, it was like having a place of their own. PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE. The beach got an A+, it was clean, clear and warm. Had it to ourselves everyday, except for the numerous sea turtles. Walmart wasn't too far away either! Was there just in time to see the shuttle, ran up to the cape, have relatives there, and got to see it take off. Sebastion Inlet park is close and beautiful. Go to the McClardy Museum, the ship wrecks, treasure hunting and salvage history was interesing (only $1 fee). We've always been W.Coast vacationers, think we'll be back next year to the Orchid House! If you've made you're reservations, ENJOY! The Dixons/Carpenters (7 of us)

My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous stay. The beach was pristine and so private. Just beautiful. The house and decor and every detail are just wonderful. We loved being here. It was great and unbelievably romantic, a great way to celebrate our six month wedding anniversary. We are both dreading heading home after staying in paradise.

After our long drive up we were so pleased, the house was perfect! Even got the weather we ordered. Getting up early paid off--beautiful sunrises and fresh loggerhead turtle nests. We found a hatchling our last day here. We saw lots of turtles off the shore but only one dolphin and one manatee. Have rented summer beach houses the last ten plus years, this one gets AAAA's *****

Your house is great! Thanks for the comfort of decent beds and soft sheets. We saw hundreds of turtles swimming along the reef. Saw manatees at Sebastian Inlet. Took the boat out and saw dolphins swimming in the channel. One morning the waves at Sebastian Inlet were 8 feet and my daughter and my husband had fun surfing there. The beach here is beautiful and full of nature.

We were the lucky ones to be the first guests in the house after the Hurricanes. We were married in Vero Beach on 3/19/2005 and spent the week relaxing and entertaining guests that flew in from all over the Country for the Wedding. The owner's are great people. We had the best time. We rented a pontoon boat that was handy getting back and forth from Captain Hirams. The house has every amenity and everything is top quality. We highly recommend The White Orchid.

Mike and George: Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. I can't begin to express how awesome it has been. We have been to quite a few places in our lives, but never have we felt so much at home. Everything you need is furnished. All we had to do was show up! God truly knew what he was doing when you look at the view from the patio doors.

Last year's hurricane took our roof and blew through the house causing damage to the interior. We have completely renovated the interior with all new furnishings. Our family had a wonderful week in this beautiful beach house. The sunsets from the front balconies were breath taking. We are sorry to say we didn't see any sea turtles during our week. We took our children to magic kingdom-Disney World for our daughters 3rd birthday. We have two children 3 and 8 months. Our youngest discovered that sand is not the best food. We had a great trip and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Mike, Thanks, for a marvelous week in White Orchid: Tropical and gorgeous--We liked it better and better as the week here went on. Fished the river at evening, swam in the surf in the afternoons, and just had a great time generally. Tonight we swam under a full moon in the warm ocean water. Thanks again for an enjoyable week!
