Follow the Boca Paila Road into the Sian Ka'an Biosphere and discover a world like no other. The Boca Paila Peninsula is a narrow strip of land with beautiful, pristine Caribbean beaches on one side and one and a half million acres of protected mangrove lagoons on the other.

We are a complete Eco Resort, with 24 hour solar power, and many of the improvements were constructed from driftwood, washed up bamboo, coral, and other materialsfound close by.

Our property, Xamach Dos, features five unique cabanas. CABANA LUNA- with 2 queen beds. CABANA SOL-with 2 queen beds. TREETOP CABANA-one queen bed. CASA GRANDE-with 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with 2 full beds, and a fold out queen in the living room.

Xamach Dos has a beautiful palapa restaurant for guests, with incredible food at reasonable prices. It is also a perfect place for a secluded wedding.

The warm, Caribbean bay waters are excellent for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling, with an unspoiled reef system just a hundred or so yards from the powder sand beach. Take one of our new kayaks out in the bay and explore the reef, or take a boat trip into the Laguna with Mayan fishing and nature guides - it is full of hundreds of bird species, wildlife and overgrown Mayan ruins. Wait till you see the stars at night!

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place for you! We were recently featured in INTERNATIONAL LIVING Magazine as one of the best places to get away!

Sian Ka'an - Remote Beautiful Beach with 5 Cabanas

The Unique Benefits at this Hotel

While at Xamach Dos there are many things to do. Kayak to the unspoiled reef system right offshore, fish for snapper and Barracuda right from the beach, explore our hidden ruins right across the road, or just find one of our many hammocks and spend the day relaxing!

Owner's Map of Tulum

I purchased the property in 2004, after falling in love with the Sian Ka'an Reserve, an amazing 1.5 million acres of secluded jungles, mangrove lagoons teeming with hundreds of bird species, incredible fishing, unspoiled reef systems, and most importantly an incredible sense of privacy, well away from the crowded hotel zones.
Everything you will see at Xamach Dos, I had something to do with. I built the Cabanas, the beautiful palapa restaurant, we have an incredible staff, headed by Francisca, an amazing cook who is rapidly gaining fame for her skills in the kitchen.
Staying here is like staying with family, you will love the feel and energy of Xamach Dos!

"THREE YEARS RUNNING!"Once again, we chose Xamach Dos as our "decompression zone" Although we have travelled to the Tulum area 5 years in a row, never have we stayed in one place THREE times!!!! We love the atmosphere, the remote location, and of course the staff!!!! The food here is an experience all on it's own. Francesa and Anna have something magical happening in that kitchen! Although there are 4 different cabanas to choose from, we keep coming back to our favourite each year. We enjoy walking out of our door, into the sand that stretches all the way to the Caribbean. In a full 14 days of staying here over 3 years, I have yet to put even sandals on for the entire time. The remoteness means you aren't inundated with "outsiders" all day, yet you are still close enough to Tulum or Punta Allen if you need to make a quick trip for forgotten supplies. The owners have created a place in paradise, and you know right away it is a passion of theirs as much as a love. Going to Mexico without going to Xamach, is something I can't ever imagine myself doing.

"GREAT AND RELAXING STAY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY"We are just coming back from a totally relaxing week stay at Xamach. My son (6) built a huge sand castle and managed to dig a 2 feet deep hole so that he totally disapeared. My daughter (8) loved the stay so much that she cried on the way back and asked us if we could go back again next year. They spent a lot of time at the beach. Water is fabulous and shallow so that we did not have to worry. The cabana was also very clean and confortable. The site as a whole is fantastic. We needed the rest and finally we got it! The food is extremely good. Great Mexican food. They tone it down so that we could appreciate all of its flavors. They also had all kinds of special attentions for the kids. William especially loved the mexican hot chocolate while Cathy could not stop from eating the different salsas and guacamole. I have to mention that the road leading to Xamach is probably the worst in the world and I think that is what makes it so secluded and relaxing.Ron, the manager, is a great host. He will send you to locals for trips (snorkeling fishing etc) You can actually see beautifull fishes 30 feet from the beach in about 4 feet of water. At night you can see a lot of stars and we even saw shooting stars( I explained to my son that the shooting stars eventually all fall onto the boca paila road.) We are planning on going back. One last word on the king of Xamach: Meow Moew. He gets fish and fantastic food every day and actually does very little over the course of a day. We did exactly the same.

I love the resort of Xamach Dos. The People, Cooks, and resident cat keep drawing me back. The wind blew relentlessly this trip, but boy you can't beat the view. Chris, the new manager is going to be a huge asset. He is so very attentive. The meals are unbeatable. I haven't eaten this good since the last time I was there. Gourmet authentic Mexican Caribbean style is unbeatable anywhere. Thanks Gang for a wonderful too short a visit. I'll return as soon as I can. 10 STARS!

A couple of years ago, our family had the good fortune to find this piece of unspoiled paradise! We only stayed 4 nights but loved it. We are looking forward to going back someday. It was unfortunate that we arrived a few days after Tropical Depression Andrew arrived and upset the beach and made the weather windy, but it was still paradise and we never regretted a moment of the get-away...with wonderful food and solitude for as long as you would walk on the beach. The water was warm and the sleeping palapa was heaven.
