Three large supermarkets are within two kilometers of the house. It is seventeen kilometers to Bodrum city's museums and nightlife, sixty kilometers to the airport and 2 hours drive to Ephesus.

Bodrum City is twenty minutes to Kos in Greece or two hours to Rhodes by ferry. Pleasurable walking in the surrounding hills. Roman aqueduct ruins are a ten minute walk and there is a Carian (800BC) castle ruin just a 30 minute walk from the house. Visit the local tea shop in the village, one kilometer below where a local food market is held each Tuesday. Yalikavak has the best fish restaurants in the area as well as scores of other restaurants serving local and International cuisine.The best food, textile and trinket market is held here each Thursday but there is a market everyday, in some village, throughout the peninsula.

Part of the area holds a table with 4 chairs for dining and the other half holds a "L" shaped seating area with a large coffee table for lounging. This area is covered with natural reed. There is a provision to add a child closure at the opening that leads to the stone decks and patios surrounding the pool
