We loved this spot, a perfect starting point to visit Key West. Big Pine and Marathon. Access to Bahia Honda State Park made it convenient for swimming and snorkeling. Quiet, friendly neighborhood. If you forgot to bring anything it was probably provided, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Would certainly recommend this location.

The house was very clean, looks just like the pictures! Everything you would possilby need was there. Coolers, beach towels, boat, swim shoes, beach chairs, can coolers, automatic ice maker, washer, dryer, iron, grill, soap, shampoo, laundry soap, sofener, stain removal, iron, hair dryer, guides on local attactions, rain ponchos, even a sewing kit! Cathy was easy to work with. The house and vacation was a surprise and she went out of her way to help keep the secret. First time using homeaway.com was such a great experience have been suggesting it to everyone. We were very happy and will rent the house again. It was my husband and I, our adult son and adult daughter and her fiance. The house was large enough for all of us for a whole week. Plenty of covered parking. The fresh tomatoes from the plants growing in the yard were delicious.

Our home was clean when we arrived and so we preserved it's state during our stay. We felt as if it were our own home. The porch stretched the length of the home and exposed a magnificent view of the Atlantic ocean with several mangrove islands nearby to explore with her complimentary kayak. The neighborhood was quiet and filled with houses that were tended to but unoccupied. The central keys location gave us 30 min. access to key west and Marathon. The home owner was no hassle, straightforward, and kept to their word.. very honorable. They were pleasant to speak with on the phone and accommodating. If I had to find a complaint it would be that there are signs in frames resting on every toilet lid in the house asking patrons not to flush condoms and tampons down the commode. I did not like that my ten year old daughter found those and asked me what they were. I felt like the signs could have been more general like " Please only flush waste and TP down the commode". In the event that you cancel be prepared to lose your deposit but the owner was willing to reschedule with us and was flexible about the dates which we appreciated very much. Overall we really enjoyed this home and the location. The BBQ pit had ample propane in it when we arrived and it lasted through three Q's. The master and guest bedroom are very close together. The house shakes a little when the washer and dryer are running but I guess you can expect that with a house on stilts. Overall we would stay there again, felt like our price was fair for what we received, it was nice having high speed internet and cable TV. The neighbors were gracious and kind to our kids. It is a family friendly rental with a nice kitchen I cooked 4 out of 6 nights we stayed. Overall I would highly recommend this home for a family to rent. The view is amazing and the home is nice for the price.
