The International Colony Club (ICC) is nestled behind the tracks of the scenic Sugar Cane Train on 10 acres in the beautiful Kaanapali Beach Resort area--Maui's #1 vacation destination! There are 42 individual cottages situated on quiet, meticulously landscaped grounds. World-famous Kaanapali Beach (consistently ranked among the top five beaches in the world by publications like Conde Nast Traveler Magazine) is just across the road and less than a five-minute walk from ICC.
A quintessential island cottage, Dolphin Cottage at Kaanapali offers a one-of-a-kind, artistic, and all natural environment that takes one back to old time Maui plantation style living. The custom-designed, two bedroom, two bathroom cottage has ocean views and more than 1,850 square feet of living space. Its steeply pitched roofline allows for lofty exposed-beam ceilings, while its plank siding and wooden louvered windows complete the charming cottage setting. Subtle details include antique wrought iron and brass light fixtures, built-in leather furniture, eight ceiling fans, seven sky lights, top-of-the-line appliances, full-sized washer & dryer, two-person spa tub, and even a seven-square-foot shower room!
In décor as in all else, the attention to detail at Dolphin Cottage is unsurpassed among West Maui vacation rentals. High-end furnishings and amenities are featured against a cheerful, relaxed, island-style backdrop. Over the Lanai entrance a world-class surfboard by a renowned Maui shaper welcomes guests. The pop of colorful art by local artists brightens the walls, natural fiber jute rugs are scattered about on concrete floors, and furnishings combine indulgent comfort with superior craftsmanship. In the Kitchen, koa wood 'Dolphins at Play' by a famous local sculptor hangs from the exposed-beam vaulted ceiling, and in the shower room Hawaiian hula dancers beckon from hand-painted tiles.
A premium queen-sized pillowtop sleigh bed is in the Master Bedroom, a premium queen-sized carved wooden bed is in the Second Bedroom, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa is in the Living Area. Dolphin Cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests. A 42' HDTV with DVD player and video library, as well as a central sound system bring modern comfort to your stay in paradise.
Surrounded by tropical foliage, with bird song filling every room and gentle Trade Winds caressing through quaint wooden-jalousie windows, by day Dolphin Cottage is filled with natural sunlight. By night it is awash in romantic moonlight.
Come to experience what it feels like to live at one with Hawaii's gorgeous natural environment. Visit Dolphin Cottage at Kaanapali!

I gave 5 stars for all the accuracy, but, the photos and description were good, but the house/property was great! Better than they described!! The house is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. There's no ac, but the breeze is perfect, and there are so many fans - it was never too hot - you truly feel like you are in paradise! It's a short walk across the road to a great beach in Maui. They have all kinds of toys and extra sheets, etc. for the couches/beds. Plenty of space for a large family. We had grandparents and a 2 year old with us and it exceeded everyone's expectation. Thank you for a great stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 24/26

We couldn't have had a better place to stay. fresh air, COMFORTABLE BEDS, great pool, quick access to ocean, shopping near by, quiet and friendly neighbors. I get cold so I had to dress warm in the evenings. other wise we are talking about coming back and staying again. Thanks so much.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We came to Maui for a conference at the nearby Maui Westin, but elected not to stay at the host hotel due to costs. We are very happy that we chose to stay at Ann's cottage. From the beginning, Ann was very easy to communicate with, answering all of my questions quickly and providing me with additional information that she thought I might find useful. When we arrived, the cottage was very clean and well maintained. While it did appear as pictured, one thing that I did not realize until I arrived is that privacy is somewhat limited by the fact that the master bedroom does not have its own door and opens directly to the living area. Also, because most of the rooms share an open ceiling, noise may be an issue if you are sharing the space with noisy people. However this did not seem to be a problem for us. Best of all, it contained everything we could possibly need for our trip (for example - full kitchen with ample kitchen supplies for cooking, washer and dryer for laundry, beach supplies including towels, snorkels - I highly recommend snorkeling at nearby Black Rock where we got to swim with the sea turtles!, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc., books for reading at the beach, we even found a CD guide for the Road to Hana drive which we took advantage of and found to be very helpful). The location of the cottage was also convenient - literally steps from the resort swimming pool, just a short walk to the beach and Whaler's Village, and short drive to many nearby restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. Overall, we highly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this cottage to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We stayed in this cottage over the holidays. There were 2 couples and we enjoyed ourselves immensly. Ann has thought of every detail. All beach gear you could imagine, kitchen supplies are great, beds were very comfortable. The area is very quiet and low key. All you hear is the great outdoors. The pool is steps away from the door. The beach is a quick walk and amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. I would book again in a heartbeat!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay in the condo. It had lots of room and many fun things we could use at the pool and the beach. The pools were great and the grounds were well maintained. There were 6 of us and the condo had lots of room. There was a beautiful beach just across the street from the condo and the Sugar Cane Train is right across street.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We are two couples travelling together to Hawaii and we had a wonderful time on Maui. We would like to thank Ann and Rohn for sharing their cottage with us. Maui was our first stop on Hawaii and after 12 hours of flight we were so happy when arriving at this beautiful place. An Aloha sign in the Lanai welcomes you and makes you feel home right from the beginning. The cottage is decorated down to the last detail, everything was clean and well-maintained. The photos as well as the description reflect the cottage's location, appearance and ammenities accurately. The beach gear was a lot of fun!!! Both, Ann and Rohn, were very helpful before and during our stay. Ann responded as soon as possible to our emails and answered all of our questions. They left a personal note for us when we arrived. Also they provided us with a list of recommendations. We had a great night at the Feast of Lele experiencing the Polynesian culture. We also enjoyed breakfast at the Gazebo (approx. 30min of waiting). Even attractions not located nearby are reached easily by car. We watched an amazing sunrise at the Haleakala National Park and enjoyed the Road to Hana and Maui's incredible nature. This was our first trip to Hawaii, but we are sure, we will come back. In that case, we would always chose Ann and Rohn's cottage for our stay on Maui. Mahalo!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We shared this cottage with another couple and all of us fell in love with this beautiful slice of heaven. It was conveniently located, close to just one of several fantastic beaches, gorgeously decorated and furnished, in a small, quiet complex of cottages. Except for the occasional sightings of maintenance folks, we felt as though we were alone. It's difficult to even submit this review because we want to keep it all to ourselves. The cottage even comes furnished with a helpful assortment of beach gear, ice chests, a bbq, and games, which was a total but extremely pleasant find. If you're staying in the Lahaina/Kaanapali/Kapalua area, this cottage cannot be beat for value, convenience, beauty and comfort.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a beautiful cottage, inside and out! From the time we arrived until we left (7 nights), I kept thinking how wonderful it would be to have a vacation home like this (absolutely loved the lanai). We took our three adult children and found the cottage to be quite spacious. It was very clean and had all of the amenities you can think of (and more). Plenty of cookware, dishes, linens, dvds, CDs, (there is even one for “The Road to Hana”) beach gear, including nice thick beach towels that we used every day. Ann also had d/w & laundry detergent on hand. Ann has taken great care & pride in the cottage – so many personal touches. The beds are very comfortable and linens were top of the line (as was everything else in the cottage). We chose to stay in the second bedroom because it offered more privacy – it also had a skylight right above our bed and we enjoyed stargazing in the comfort of our room. The shower was huge with decorative tile, and I was surprised that with 5 of us taking showers we never ran out of hot water. The outside grounds are well maintained with many beautiful flowers & shrubs. There are other units but we rarely saw (or heard) anyone in our area. The kids went swimming in the pool numerous times (very clean btw) and only on one occasion did we notice others using the pool. It’s a short walk to a very nice beach and you can actually see the ocean from the front door. Ann was very helpful with ideas on good places to eat and things to do. Had great hamburgers at the Kool Cat Cafe, and don't forget to check out the beach at the Black Rock (our favorite beach). We give Ann & Rohn's cottage a 10 out of 10!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at the cottage at the end of April to the beginning of May. I came with my family of five and it was extremly comfortable for all of us. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. The kitchen and bathroom facilites were wonderful - the shower was amazing. There are skylights all over and fans in ever room and I was never too hot or too cold. We used all the beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, snorkels etc.) they came in handy. I loved being able to see the beach from the cottage and we watched the sunset every evening. Ann was extremly helpful with any questions we had - she was very accessible. There are two pools in this facility and we tried them both out - they were always clean and well maintained. We rented a car so we went to a new beach everyday and we were very surprised at just how close things were. Driving was extremely good in the area and we found our way around quite easily. We also went to the beach that was directly across the street which was one of our favourite beaches. There was also a farmers market just down the street aways where we purchased some fresh fruit (very close). Napili beach was one of our favorites after going for breakfast at the Gazebo Restaurant at Napili Shores! A must! We also drove into the town of Lahiana where we went to the Lahaina Luau - also a must! Oh and Mama's Fish House (expensive) but worth it! There are so many things to do there and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Hope to go back again.....Aloha!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
