If you are looking for a serene beach side location with the convenience of a bustling town nearby, then our Noble Apartment "HERMOSA" could not be a better choice. This fully-fitted bungalow is thoughtfully decorated with all the comforts you will enjoy coming home to. The perfect self-catering home.
Along with 25 other bungalows to rent, it shares a central swimming pool and tiki hut bar and sits by the ocean at one of Costa Rica's most famous surfing beaches. "HERMOSA" is set in a fenced property, Hermosa Bungalows, that is staffed 24 hours a day. It's the perfect starting point for Costa Rica style adventures in all directions - the perfect vacation home. I can also find you alternative bungalows if you prefer 2 bathrooms or a different location at Hermosa Bungalows.
Stylishly and simply furnished, HERMOSA's two bright bedrooms have French windows that lead onto a wide back balcony - perfect for star gazing or bird watching. It's in a quiet spot where you can just listen to the waves and wildlife. Alternatively, being in the corner means you won't be disturbing people if you enjoy playing the Brazilian,contemporary and classical CDs...loud! The bedrooms have one double in the master and a large double bunk in the 2nd bedroom sleeping4. Also one on the sofa. Many interesting and carefully chosen pictures line the walls and we have created a real home-from-home with vases for flowers and even a teapot for the British. We have an Internet Connection too - so bring your laptop. You can go on-line and join Skype on the internet for very cheap worldwide calls. Or get your friends and family to join too as these calls are FREE between other SKYPE members.The bungalow also has a lockbox for your valuables.
The kitchen, with granite countertop is fully-fitted with everything you need with a Guanacaste wood breakfast bar which is also used as a serving hatch for outdoor dining. There is also a small drop-leaf dining table inside that seats 4. All the furniture is handmade to our designs by local craftsmen. From the front veranda there are ocean and wilderness views and it is quiet at any time of the day except for the birdsong.
From Hermosa Beach it is just an eight-minute drive into the town of Jaco which has many shops and every kind of restaurant you might desire. A 15-minute drive takes you to swanky Los Suenos with its hotel, casino, and famous yachting harbor.
Back home, wander one way along the beach at sunset to small hotels and restaurants. In the other direction, the miles of virtually unspoiled beach lead to a turtle rescue sanctuary at the far end with just a few scattered surfers in the waves. The ocean at your doorstep is of Surf Competition standard and the sand is dark and soft. Take day trips to waterfalls, botanical gardens, rain forests, and volcanoes.
Come home to hot showers, air conditioning and some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. There are binoculars in the bungalow if you want to marvel at twice as many stars as are already visible! There are colorful birds and butterflies and a visiting fisherman who comes to Hermosa Bungalows with fresh tuna at amazingly low prices. A stay at HERMOSA is a holiday that offers everything you could expect from a lush, tropical hideaway - and with the comforts of home.
The on-site management company is on call in case you encounter any problems with your stay, and the home is maintained on a regular basis with cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and pool services. There is also a night time security guard.

My family stayed here and had a wonderful time. We loved the front porch and the view of the ocean. The beaches are clean and are a wonderful place to walk with the added benefit of being so very close. We have suggested this place to several friends and they all have loved it too! Just one word of caution...there is a very strong surf and one must take care! That is true about many beaches here in Costa Rica.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife daughter and I came down for a week. It was delight to stay at the bungalows. I was well equiped and close to the ocean. We will do the againl.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My dad and I had a wonderful experience staying at the hermosa bungalows. Aaron went above and beyond as our bungalow manger/ host. Ive traveled all around the world and I've never had a host that was more entertaining and hospitable than Aaron. The location was perfect! Steps from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and short drive to jaco. I can't wait to go back and stay at the bungalows!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wow, wow and 1000 more wow's. We had a fabulous week and are all home feeling very sorry for ourselves and wishing that we were still in CR. Your little property is beyond fabulous, it is the perfect set up for many people traveling together as we were all so comfortable, had our own space but still got to do so much together. We met many of the people who live there, Twinker, Sue, cannot remember other names oh and of course Judith. We really put her to work this week and she did an amazing job getting us all the tours and information that we needed. Had Rudy come and do sushi one night, H2o white water rafting, a fabulous restaurant in the Manuel Antonio called Restaurante Karolas where we even got to relax by the pool. Canopy tour, Adventure ATV, and of course lots of surfing. The waves were massive....my husband said he has never seen anything like it in his life. The set up that we managed to get with those 4 bungalows was beyond perfect. My precious dog, Chico, adopted us like if he was our own and spent the entire week on our porch, I was thrilled he really barks loud and was my shadow wherever I went, it was hilarious. Ate at Rancho Colon, the teenagers met other teenagers from Quebec and had a great time with them.....it was just unbelieveble and so relaxing and easy. Car set up was perfect from Zuma, we cannot say one negative thing except that we got caught in the scam of the people that stop you about a mile out of Manuel Antonio park pretending that that is the park entrance and when you walk around the corner you realize that you can certainly go further and park right at the end of the road. At least we didn't fall for the part that we had to buy the guided tour part. Of course as all of us are either from or have lived in Trinidad that was not as amazing to us as it must be to people for example from Florida or other pretty boring places, but it was a nice outing. I am so jealous of each and every one of you that get to call that place home. Playa Hermosa was just enormous...sometimes we thought that the waves might get to the house! I did enjoy seeing surfers being pulled into waves on jet skies....felt like I was in a movie or something. "The Bungalow exceeded our expectations. The black sand beach was a step away, the pool was always the perfect temperature, and we slept to the sounds of the jungle.
