Hidden in a gated community on the hill about 20 min south of Cannes, this villa offers lots of space, modern conveniences, and breathtaking views. It was ideal for our 2 families, 6 people, which included 2 teenage girls, with 3 bedrooms, three bathrooms on the sleeping floor, and plenty of space in the living floor, beautiful terraces, and a pool. The location is somewhat secluded, and because of steep hill it is not easy to walk to the superette and back, but it's only a minute drive. Supermarket and highway access are about 20 min away, but the road you take, Corniche D'Or, is breathtaking. While it seems a bit out of the way, one will probably appreciate this location during the busy summer season. The owner provided a detailed instructions for everything that has an on/off switch, and his web site is a great resource to explore the area. The villa is designed with outside walls opening to combine inside and outside spaces, which precludes the use of mosquito screens, so get refills for the plug-in repellents (there are plenty of them in the house) at the supermarket on the first day, and that would be the last and only thing you would worry about.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We just returned after staying for a week in this home overlooking this incredible view. The home was amazing and perfectly maintained and had everything we could have possibly needed as a home away from home. The views are spectacular from every room, sunrises on the deck were magnificent, a real incentive to get up at 6 a.m. Bedrooms are all comfortable and open up onto the middle deck. The location is great as it is just outside the craziness of Cannes and has it's own beach "La Figuerette", beach rentals for water sports and restaurants within 10 minutes in Theoule. Cannes is your nearest city at 20 minutes, but quite honestly we were perfectly content to stay home many days and just sit enjoying the view and each others company on the beautiful terrace.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We (family of four from Copenhagen, Denmark) spent a week in Le Trayas this summer and truly enjoyed it. Its a wonderful house, the view is spectacular, and the area is peaceful and quiet with Massif L´Esterel in your "backyard" and the most beautiful coastline in front of you. Yet you are still close to the action in Cannes. The pool area works well and the house is spacious. Given that the neighborhood is situated high on a hillside living there inevitably involves climbing stairs and walking up and down some fairly steep slopes. Something to bear in mind for families with small children and/or disabled family members. We will definitely return to this house in the future insofar as it remains available.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had chosen Villa Miramar for several reasons, views, location, interior, and relative proximity to golf courses. We expected a lot, and we were still positively surprised. You arrive at the place for the first time, and even though you have seen the pictures you just can’t believe it --- a fantastic display of the Mediterranean Sea in all its splendour lit by the afternoon sun. As if you could touch the water. You spend a lot of time during your stay just looking at the sea, no need to do anything else. The location is very good, near the beaches (which you can see from the house), the marina (we rented a boat twice), just at the right distance from Cannes and other touristy spots (go visit Cannes at night, the Croisette turns into a circus), and in walking distance from various good restaurants. And the golf. Two courses in Mandelieu, barely 15 minutes away, next to a wealth of other courses in St. Raphael, Mougins, and so on. The interior is contemporary (mostly Designer’s Guild and modern classics) and the colours are sublime. The house is easy, with a spacious layout and various terraces for various times of the day. And the pool is large. We’ll be back. This review was originally posted on Villa Miramar's page on HomeAwayRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Your villa was alll we expected and more. The views are wonderful, the villa is private, and the location is convenient to everything needed from hiking to water, sailing and shopping. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for "gourmet" meals and the library has a wonderful collection of CDs. We were three couples, and each had a sense of privacy - we had the master suite, which is a little more "equal" than the others, however. Despite freakish weather ( we watched water spouts, and violent storms roll across the sea) we had a wonderful time - in part BECAUSE of your great villa.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fantastic home from home with all the mod cons needed... Beware though that the pool is not heated and can be quite chilli limiting usage... Apart from that we had a fantastic stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Pool temperature: Martin and his family stayed at the house during September---and, apparently, a quite chilly September at that. During the summer the pool temperature is typically above 26° centigrades (79° Fahrenheit).

What a stunning location and what a beautiful home. We stayed there for several weeks last summer, and found the setting amazing for both relaxing and sightseeing. It's hard to walk away from the incredible views from the terrace, but there is so much great stuff to do in the area also. The house is absolutely beautiful (the pictures are 100% real) and extremely well-appointed. Michael has thought of everything and is also a pleasure to deal with. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is located on one of the loveliest stretch of coast between Nice and St.Tropez. It is close enough to the motorway for convenient trips to Cannes, Nice and the hinterland. But the views of the Mediterranean from the house are so captivating that you might be happy merely to stay and gaze out at the sea all day. The views really are as spectacular as promised in the photos on the web site. The house is very tastefully furnished and is equipped with everything one might conceivably need - including binoculars for a closer look at boats passing by and a cooler for the champagne which was chilling in the fridge upon our arrival. And plenty of reading material should you forget to pack your books. Very young children will need to be watched as there are many steps in the terraced garden, but our children (aged from 5 to 13) loved playing hide-and-seek in it. They were also not to be deterred by the unusually cool temperatures during our stay from using the lovely pool.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We could not recommend this house too highly; stunning location, beautiful furnishings, immaculately maintained and the views.... Sitting on the very large terrace on a warm evening overlooking the cliffs and the Med was sublime. Sitting at the outdoor sofa and chairs having breakfast each morning offered an alternative view and yet more space to admire the location. The enormous terrace outside the bedrooms offered yet more opportunities to stop and stare. This is a truly beautiful house - five minutes' drive from a railway station leading directly to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco and on into Italy. We loved it here and can't wait for our next visit. The house is absolutely beautiful (the pictures are 100% real) and extremely well-appointed. Michael has thought of everything and is also a pleasure to deal with. The only thing to be aware of if you have very young children is that, due to the location of the property, there are several sets of steep steps to navigate to get to the pool, and also the fencing on the terraces is quite light. Overall, though, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely villa for a month one summer and returned for 3 weeks the following year. It is situated in a quiet residential area with a beautiful view of the sea and the local port. It is easily accessible to Cannes by car (25 mins) or the local train that hugs the coastline (12 mins). The spectacular Esterel National Park is situated on the hillside behind the villa where one can walk or bike for hours. The views of the Riviera from the top of the mountain will take your breath away. The house is very clean, spacious and light with all the mod cons you would need for a very comfortable vacation. We loved it so much we have ended up becoming neighbours!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

No picture could ever do this villa justice. We rented the villa in October 2007, and we were immediately struck by how gorgeous it is! The owner, Michael, met us at the villa with the key, and he was so helpful and friendly - he made us feel right at home. The interior is beautifully decorated and spotless, and the view outside is overwhelming. When we weren't enjoying the house and its view, we made multiple day trips. The villa is so conveniently located - it took less than an hour to travel everywhere we wanted to go on the Riviera. I really can't recommend this place enough. We do a fair amount of traveling, and this is truly the nicest place we've ever rented - and we've stayed at a lot of great places.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
