The Doyles are super hosts. Their vacation home is perfect. You are drawn back to the mid 1800's yet all the amenities of the 21st century. It's a quiet non-commercial look at the Battlefield and an opportunity to bike or hike on the C&O Canal Towpath with beautiful views of the Potomac River Valley. A short ride across the river to West Virginia provides plenty of great restaurants. A deeply memorable vacation!

We spent 4 wonderful spring days in this beautiful house. The photos do not do it justice. It was perfect for our family reunion. We were 4 families- 6 adults, 1 teenager, 1 seven year old and 3 four year olds. There was plenty of room. The house was immaculate when we arrived. The kids (and adults, too) really enjoyed the cows. Rent this house and you will NOT be disappointed!
