Why the Owner Chose Narragansett
When I first saw this property, I recognized that it occupied a very special location in that it was nestled against an Audubon society land trust which essentially provided a sanctuary for many species of migrating birds including swan and other interesting water foul. It was a short walk from a private sandy 1/4 mile long beach and it was totally peaceful while being close by to many area activities. The house I personally built was custom designed to take advantage of the views and provide privacy to several couples who could enjoy separate uniquely designed spaces both inside and outside of the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This location offers you a 5 minute driving commute to the center of Narragansett, a 12 minute commute to the center of Newport and 5 major golf clubs. An abundance of fine Restaurants and points of interest including Block Island, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket can be reached by a Ferry close by. Fishing, water sports, and surfing are options many chose while here.
Owner's Map of Narragansett
Here I am looking over Narragansett sound across the pond with my house in view of both. This is truly a relaxing place to be alone or with your significant others. As a licensed Psychologist, I know the importance of being able to "recharge your battery" and this is a place to do it.

It was one of the best weeks we've ever had with our children and their new babies. My son's family is from Seattle and my daughter's family is from Newton. We played board games in the living room and on the back porch. Laughed and recounted stories. Relaxed on the hammock. We especially enjoyed having dinner at a kitchen table which was big enough for 6 adults and 2 babies at each end with attachable high chairs. We had a wonderful celebration dinner at the Coast Guard House. It was the the only day it had rained and while we were having dinner, a rainbow appeared. The perfect setting. The Bonnet Shores Community was very family oriented. Each day we went to the private beach which is a short drive from the house. We also enjoyed taking walks around the the community, The owners were very accommodating. (They even had a pack n' play which was set up for the babies while we were preparing meals in the kitchen area.) We really had a most enjoyable experience and hope to return next summer.
Owner response:We look forward to you and your return Linda. Len & Anne

This was our first trip to Rhode Island, we had a wonderful time. The house was in a great location to get to lots of beaches and Newport. The house was wonderful for the 10 of us. We hit the hotest week of the summer, so the lack of AC on the main floor was a little tough, but it is very unusual to get a week that is 95 or better for an entire week. Had it been normal warm tempratures i dont think this would have been a concern at all. We loved our stay and the house.
Owner response:Glad to hear you enjoyed our home Rebecca. The bedroom air conditioners are generally not even needed with the ocean breeze which comes over the pond, however, you do get a hot week once a season or so.

We had a fabulous reunion. My favorite activity was renting bikes and exploring the trails. The home was gorgeous, clean, and well-equipped. It had the ultimate, sublime "beach house" feeling. Also, my brother caught a huge fish off a charter boat.
Owner response:Great to hear you and your family fully utilized all of the options available to you both within our beach house and the surrounding geographic area. Look forward to your return. Len & Anne Wysocki

We loved this house! We visited in the winter and it was awesome and cozy. It's only about 15 minutes from Newport, and we enjoyed going in for some lunch and shopping. The kitchen in the home is large and open and perfect for cooking (its fully stocked with whatever you need). The living room is great for entertaining with a fireplace, huge tv and serious surround sound. We made a fire each night we were there and drank wine in front of it. Every morning we woke up in a sun filled master bedroom overlooking the salt pond and the ocean. There are so many windows in the home so you can see the water from every room in the house. Overall the house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and relaxing. We wished it was warm enough to sit on the rocking chairs on the porch, but maybe next time. The owners were great - they recommended a couple great local eateries and were very responsive when we called them with questions, Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did and definitely recommend it to anyone!
Owner response:Love to have you back to enjoy our wrap around porch and deck for cooking outside on our barbecue deck.

Our stay was everything we could have asked for and then some. Great porch. Relaxing atmosphere. Nice walk to the beach. Clean and comfortable, even on a rainy day. Close to Newport. Had fun shopping. Loved the off-season peace and quiet. Can't wait to go again.

Our stay at the beach house was nothing short of extraordinary! The property was well maintained and very clean. There was never a dull moment with our stay, the beach is a short walk away, driving range, excellent views and dining. (Thanks Len for recommending Twin Willows, we had a blast!). We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next summer!

I stayed at this beautiful cottage with my family it is fantastic! the views are beautiful, the location is very peaceful and close to charming shopping in quaint towns. The cottage is fully equipped with everything we needed, the washer and dryer are a big plus. The kitchen has everything you need if you feel like cooking, the floor plan is open light and airy so I could enjoy my family while in the kitchen. It was the perfect get away I would recommend it to anyone. My grandson was never "bored" he had a ball exploring the grounds and I didn't have to worry about him with the traffic. The end of the day on the porch overlooking the water as the sun goes down is magical!
Owner response:We love to share our home in the hopes of it pleasing our guests in the way you described. Thanks for your feedback.

Our stay at this rental was disappointing. The house was not clean, nor was the property maintained. We had to vacuum and wipe down the bathrooms upon arrival. Masses of cobwebs and bugs were everywhere. After several calls to the owner, he finally agreed to send out a cleaning service, who agreed with us that the property had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Trash from the previous tenants was not picked up all week. The 8 minute walk to the beach turned out to be a 20-25 minute walk, lugging our gear, on a busy road. As there is no parking at the beach, it was suggested we drop off the family and have one member return to the house to ride the bike back. Unfortunately, the bike had 2 flat tires, so this was not possible. Among the other inaccuracies are "granite" counters (cracked and chipped), ocean view (none from this house), outside shower is just a faucet under the deck (no privacy as neighbors walk through the yard). Most windows could not even be opened as they were missing screens. The owner was not helpful or forthcoming with our concerns. Would definitely not recommend this property to anyone...
Owner response:This renter received a second maid service within 12 hours of their stay in our Beach house after one single call made to the owner. After that cleaning, the renter continued to make unrealistic and faulty claims about the condition of our property which was confusing in light of the fact that the owner personally walked this renting family through the entire home for an inspection upon their arrival wherein a comment was made by the renter that the property was beautiful. Our intent as property owners is to fully satisfy our renters and after 14 years of renting our home, this is the first time we have encountered unsatisfied renters.

this is a great house to relax in, in perfect condition, and with very hospitable and considerate owners. We visited with 4 generations of family and it suited us all---great views from the back porch where we could watch the fireworks on the 4th of Jily, and a lovely beach within walking distance.
