Cat's Creek Cabin cabin is conveniently located less than five minutes from downtown Boone, the Appalachian State University campus, and Valle Crucis NC. Even better, you can walk right across the street to the Willow Creek golf course, a popular public course to walk or ride for a quick nine or eighteen holes. And in winter, the access doesn’t get much easier than this location.
This lovely family cabin sits on the side of a bubbling mountain stream surrounded by rhododendrons, hemlocks and cool summer breezes. You can enjoy this view and sound while lounging in the creekside log swing, toasting marshmallows in the fire pit, or soaking in the hot tub. It is the perfect setting for kids to play and adults to relax - with the large flat yard, you can even enjoy the games provided including croquet and badminton.
This log and chink cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with hardwood floors, wood-burning fireplace with river stone chimney, spacious kitchen, and lovely furnishings. The fully stocked and spacious kitchen is perfect for the gourmet cook. The front covered porch has log rockers, and the back deck even has a glider for romantic evenings, and outdoor dining. Winter or summer, this cabin is close to all tourist sites and only 5 miles to Boone or ASU and within 15 minutes to the slopes.
This home offers the ease of single-level living and a convenient floorplan. The master bedroom has a king bed, large flat screen television, and private bath with separate tiled vanity area. The second bedroom has a queen bed and it's own flat screen television. Finally, the third bedroom is great for the young ones with two twins and a large television complete with video games. There is another bath accessed from the hallway, and the full-size washer and dryer. This home has a large video library available for rainy evenings, and lots of board games for the family as well.
The hot tub is located in the back overlooking the creek. Come and soak those sore muscles after a long day of skiing or hiking. The large open fire pit can make for a wonderful family evening while watching the stars in a magical night sky – just you, the stars, and the fireflies. The deck with its log rockers are also an option. Or with a large log table, have a lovely dinner on the deck enjoying the cool nights that the NC mountains offer- average evening temperatures in summer are in the low 60’s and high temperatures average 78 degrees.
Like to fish? You are only 5 minutes from the Valle Crucis Park and the Watauga River. Speaking of which, tubing tours can be booked which will send you meandering down the lazy river and picked up at the other end. If you want to go touristing, you are also within 6 minutes of the Mast General Store, 20 minutes to Grandfather Mountain- let us know if you want to purchase discount tickets, 15 minutes to Zipline tours- the longest on the East Coast, Tweetsie Railroad is in nearby Blowing Rock, and numerous other entertainment fun for the whole family.

Cat's Creek Cabin is located on the edge of Boone and has paved access all the way to the cabin.
