This place really does have everything!
We have installed wireless DSL, and free long distance calls (US only) !!! We have a large family and when we would go to the beach and rent a place, we always had the same problems - nowhere for the family to sit and eat together - not enough TVs VCRs or DVDs - the kitchens were never ready for a crowd.
So we built REST AREA EAST!
We have a 14 foot dining table that seats 14, TVs with VCR or DVD in all bedrooms plus the loft and a 36 inch TV with Surround Sound in the great room.
We have built a 'Grilling area' with a large park grill, 6' bench and a shelf for the food and utensils. The kitchen is well stocked for a crowd. Three of the bedrooms have workstations for laptops for those that can’t leave the office at home.
The best part is the area. Located just a short drive from Gulf Shores on the Ft Morgan peninsula, we are in an area that does not allow high-rises - the beach is never crowded.

We have just completed our 3rd beach vacation at Rest Area East...and have scheduled our 4th for 2112. Once again, there is very little more one could ask of a perfect beach venue. There are 15 in our family and all slept well in comfortable beds and awoke to a gorgeous view and fun "playground" for our entire family. The Prevost's are always helpful and available to answer questions and have recently added beautiful decor to what was already lovely to begin with. There aren't a lot of restaurants, etc., close by (Tacky Jack's is just a couple of blocks down the road) but that is the main reason for our choosing Ft. Morgan in the first place. We love the fact that there are no high-rises with crowded beaches. We feel as though this is "our" private property. Although Gulf Shores is a short 25 min. drive, our kids (ages7-13) only ask to go in once to the souvenir shops and/or Lulu's or the Hideaway for lunch or dinner. The deck pool is perfect when they are tired of the salt water or want one last swim before bedtime. The ramp to the beach is an added attraction as some of us have mobility problems...the ramp is perfect to saunter down to pristine white sands. We have and will continue to recommend this property to anyone who is interested in a great family vacation with all the ammenities.

My family had the best vacation of ours lives. The home was beautiful and the owners were fantastic. We felt like the home was built for our family and the beach was amazing. We will definitely come back, we can't wait until next year.

We have a daughter with cp. This house was great for her. The only steps were getting into the house. There was a bedroom on the main floor. You walk out the sliding doors to a pool and down a boardwalk to the beach! Perfect! This is a nice house. We had an awesome time and can't wait to come back!

We stayed here for a "Ladies Get-Away Weekend" September 14 to September 17, 2006 and had the time of our life!! The home was well equipped with everything we needed, from pots and pans to the great wetbar with ice maker. The pool was just fantastic and all the bedrooms were extremely nice! We'll defintely be back!

What a great house for multi family gatherings. The combination of six bedrooms, including a 4 kid bunk room, a great deck with a pool, and being on the beach made this the best vacation house I've seen. Thanks, Adam Rodgers.
