The smoke-free cottage is on beautiful Lake Harmony with a lawn, private dock and private beach. You can moor your own boat 40 feet from your deck or use a rowboat or canoe provided for our guests.
Lake harmony is a private spring-fed lake. Motor boats, water-skiing, sailing and all summer lake activities are available for lake front owners and their guests. It is heated with oil baseboard heat and the winter provides ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing on the lake, ice skating and a variety of winter sports. You just have to use your imagination.
The cottage is three-tenths of a mile from major restaurants, bars and entertainment. In the winter months you can walk on the frozen lake to most activities restaurants and pubs.
In the fall, spring and summer you might want to take the boat from your private dock and go to Nick's Lake House or Split Rock Lodge for cocktails and dinner. Perhaps you are into sports! Jack Frost Mountain skiing, splatter ball and motor cross is four miles while Big Boulder Ski area is three minutes.
White water rafting is 8 miles and the Pocono Raceway ten minutes. Mountain biking and hiking is also available at Hickory Run State Park just 15 minutes away.
Split Rock Lodge and Resorts are located at the end of the lake where you might want to take in a movie or play golf. It is indeed a championship course.
For the shoppers there is “The Crossings Outlet Stores” just 30 minutes away at Tannersville or you might want to travel 25 minutes down the mountain and visit the historic town of Jim Thorpe and its small artesian shops and galleries.
With all of the activities available so close, most of our guests still prefer to just relax on the 10 X 20 foot deck, the large horseshoe dock or sunbath on the small sandy beach along side the dock.
The lake is a natural spring fed lake formed by glaciers and is approximately 125 acres in size. Lake Harmony is a private lake and not open to the general public.
Motorboats are allowed for property owners and their guests. The lake association has a charge of 25.00 for one week and $50.00 for two weeks or more. The renter must complete an aplication verifiying ownership and proof of insurance to the lake association. Applications will be supplied to renters upon request.
The lake house was built in the 40’s as a summer cottage, but has undergone major interior and exterior renovations without changing the family type atmosphere. It is “small, but cozy” – Simple and clean. |
