Our experience at the White Sands Village condo was beyond our expectations. It was clean, close to the beach, had all the amenities, fully stocked condo. It was the vacation of my lifetime! We cannot wait to go back!!!! THE BEACH WAS LITERALLY RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET....AND WE GOT TO SWIM WITH THE MAJESTIC SEA TURTLES :) YESSSSS!!!!!!! And we were welcomed with a beautiful fresh fruit dish and homemade oatmeal cookies (an unexpected treat). Thank you so much!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Perfect Get Away

Last night, hubby said, "I need to get a first class ticket to Hawaii." I told him he would be welcome...of course, he cannot go now...He rested and delighted in your condo while we, Mary, and my son, and family in unit 328 all went on adventures around the island evey day. Yes, we had a wonderful time, gone for three weeks...Hawaii, the big island, is the place to go. The other grandmother and I parasailed together. Mary was so terrified she could not sleep the night before. Of course, she loved it after lift off! We were on 800 feet line. The boat was a tiny thing way down there in the bay. Would like to tell you I was glad to get home, but, I did not want to leave Hawaii. Hubby stayed in your condo most of the time to just rest and let stress evaporate from his back. He is so hard to please, that is testimonial to your accommodations. It was glorious. The condo was pleasing and wonderful for our stay. Thank you so much for your warmth and understanding when I mailed my half of the stay to White Sands address instead of to your address...All went well...We did not cook at all. Enjoyed the terrace every morning with our coffee, watching the birds in the red/orange blooming Mimosa Trees. With the condo & terrace on 2nd floor(with handy elevator) we looked out at the birds on same level and so close to the exotic creatures I felt we were in the trees with the birds. I arose earlier than Hubby or Mary, sat on terrace alone, awaiting the exotic sounds that began 5:30-6:00a.m.I miss them still. I miss Hawaii and your very nice condo. The bed slept as good as home...A very big "Mahalo."

We stayed in this condo for 12 nights and we were extremely pleased with everything. Thank you Wanee for the fruit and other items you placced there for our comfort. This was very thoughtful.The condo itself is well furnished and very well kept. We had our grandchildren with us and they were plesed with the amount of space they had inside and the pool & tennis courts outside. White Sands Village property is well maintained and very quiet. We highly recommend this condo and property for those looking for a relaxing holiday.

Wanee, my wife and I stayed at your Kona condo in August and had an absolutely wonderful time. The place is absolutely beautiful. It was so quiet and peaceful! I loved how the location was in close proximity to all the major restaurants and shops on Ali'i Drive, yet it was 3-4 buildings away from this main road. It was really great how quiet it was here. It was also great being right across the street from Magic Sands Beach and Jameson's - the food there was great. We also really appreciated being able to use your boogie boards at Hapuna beach - the waves were awesome! We had an incredible vacation on the big island and would love to stay at your condo again if we ever return to Kona. Mahalo!

This is a beautiful condo. Very private. It is across from the beach, but removed from pool and other activities. We had a delightful stay and highly recommend it!

Wow! Wonderful! We had a fabulous time and we felt so comfortable and at home in your unit. You have made some beautiful enhancements. I felt like a princess sleeping in your big, soft, king size bed! As always, it was so quiet. We enjoyed the lanai each morning, drinking coffee and listening to the birds sing. And the weather was perfect each day- 7 solid days of sunshine, snorkeling and swimming. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us! We are already talking about our next trip back..

Hello Wanee, We were truly blessed by staying in your comfortable and beautifully decorated home. You have supplied your home well with everything but the groceries! We have come to Kona for the past 3 years and have stayed in resorts but this was by far the best experience we've had yet! I liked the fact that you encouraged me to contact you through either email or phone if we had any questions about your place before we arrived. We were impressed that you asked for feedback from us after our stay which indicates that you want your guests to be as comfortable as possible. We liked the fact that you refunded our security deposit within a couple of days after we arrived home. The White Sands Beach across the street from your condo was the best beach for boogie boarding and snorkling. The Jameson Restaruant next to the beach had a lovely outside eating area with umbrella coverings. It was fun to watch the swimmers and boogie boarders from there. Their sandwiches were delicious! We will definately come back and have already passed your vrbo number to others who were impressed with what we had to say. Though I have to admit that I'm hoping that the word doesn't get out too much and squeeze us out of an opportunity to stay with you again! We will keep in touch, Karen

Hi Wanee, What a really nice home you have. Your condo was very nice - me and my sister had a great time. The location was great too. Also, just to let you know, the property manager was so nice as well, really gave us some good suggestions for touring the island. Thank you also for your voice mail regarding the deposit refund. I would definately consider staying at your condo if I ever visit the Big Island again. Not sure it would be any time soon because unfortunately the flight from NJ is so long, but definately worth it! Hope you are well and enjoying your summer. Thank you again. Lori

Aloha, Just wanted to let you know we had an awesome stay at your condo this past weekend. It really made for a very relaxing time. We got to boogie board right across the street, snorkled with the fishes and turtles at Kahuluu Beach, caught some waves at Kehakai Beach Park, and checked out the surf at Pine Trees. As far as amenities go, you have everything there one could need and more! I could not believe you even had small coolers and beach bags just the right side for a walk to the pool or across the street. We all had a great time and would definitely stay there again and I will recommend your unit to all my friends who want a quiet, relaxing stay on the west side. Big Mahalo! Rochelle

Thank you for the use of your lovely home in Kailua-Kona. We enjoyed breakfasts on the Lanai and home cooked dinners with our grandson. We spent most of our time nearby at Kahaluu Beach for surf & snorkeling. We visited Kimura's fabric store in Kainaluu, City of Refuge, Pine Trees and Hapuna Beach. We felt right at home in your condo. You thought of everything and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. Everything was decorated beautifully and was very clean. We especially enjoyed coming back at the end of the day and grilling a tasty dinner at the barbeque by the pool. We went to visit the City of Refuge per your recommendation and enjoyed the snorkeling and the hike very much. If we ever have the opportunity to come back, we will definitely check with you to see if your unit is available. Mahalo.

Thank you! Your condo is awesome! We absolutely loved it. It was so relaxing and had all of the luxuries of home. We had family staying in two other units, and we all agree that yours was the best floor plan. None of the others had the separated dining room and none were as clean as yours.

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know we had a great time in Kona last week. Your condo was a perfect base for exploring the Big Island. We snorkeled and boogie-boarded the beaches just north and south of Kailua and took some longer trips to Waimea/Kohala Mtn/Hawi and to Hawaiian Volcanos National Park (wow!). Also had a few lazy days hanging by the pool and White Sands beach. Anyway, back in Oregon now and making the adjustment back to the normal routines. I will gladly recommned your condo to anyone else looking for a great place to stay in Kona. Thanks again, Nate, Leslie, Sam and Griffin

We had a wonderful time at your place at White Sands. The house is very beautiful... We ate dinner in most evenings and especially enjoyed being just across from the White Sands beach. Our kids had the greatest time boogie boarding there.. We enjoyed the Big Island so much, that we do hope to return. And should we decide to stay on the Kailua-Kona side again, I'm sure we'll be in touch. I will also not hesitate to recomment your place to others we know of who might be planning on visiting. My mom and stepdad live in oahu, so we expect to be back in the islands regularly. Teri

I also wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your condo. It was beautiful and comfortable, and it was so nice to come back to after running round the island all day. Far enough from the town to feel like we were 'away' but close enough so that it wasn't a long drive. If we get back to the Big Island, we'd love to be able to stay again, and I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone who is traveling there. It was so peaceful, and drinking coffee in the morning on the lanai was such a treat! Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your home. Wonderful; the location, the creature comforts. I enjoyed the wakeup calls from the birds, the sun on the lani from morning to eve, The convience to beaches: one to snorkle and one that was dissapearing before my eyes. Our stay at White Sands Village was for our Honeymoon and it was great! The condo is located close to shopping, snorkeling, swimming, and dining. The condo was very clean, spacious, and homey. It was great being able to stay home and cook after a long day of sightseeing. Having a washer and dryer at your disposal was more useful than we would've thought. We highly recommend the condo for anyone interested in vacationing the big island. Thank you for sharing your home with us! The Coppit's

Wanee, Just a note to let you know that we really enjoyed your place. It is really nice and was a real pleasure to come back to each evening. As you described, we really didn't need to use air conditioning at all, and thoroughly enjoyed eating dinner on the lanai. We had a really great time in Hawaii hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, and just generally enjoying ourselves. Aloha, Welcome to the beautiful island of Hawaii and to Kailua-Kona. We, sincerely wish your stay at White Sands Village would be wonderful. One of the best features of White Sands Village is actually White Sands Beach itself. It is a great swimming, body surfing and/or boogie boarding beach. In addition, the snorkeling is excellent! Snorkel out in front of Jameson's Restaurant, and you will find a pristine reef and hundreds of fish, along with resident turtles. We consider the condominium unit to be our second home, not a mere "rental unit". We want you to feel "at home" as well. If there's anything you notice we could have improved to make your stay more comfortable, we truly would love to hear from you.
