Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1986

I retired from Disney Studios almost 2 years ago. Now I work part-time as a paralegal and I like to travel, especially doing home exchanges. I grew up in upstate NY so I love coming to the mountains for the change of seasons and the snow!

Why the Owner Chose Pine Mountain Club

My ex-husband and I bought this cabin in 1986. We had thought of looking in Big Bear, east of LA, but a friend told us about Pine Mountain Club which is so much closer and quieter. It's never crowded, even on holidays, and has a real small town feel, plus it's only 90 minutes from my home in Pasadena. The golf course is beautiful and I enjoy cross country skiing and hiking on Mt. Pinos, only 20 minutes away.

The Unique Benefits of this Cabin

When I'm in my cabin I feel like I'm in another world. It's absolutely quiet, and the back deck looks out onto green space with birds, squirrels and the occasionally deer. The interior is all knotty pine, even the ceilings, and there's a big stone fireplace. Starting right across from the cabin a neighbor has built a series of rock-lined paths through the woods; it's just a 10 minute walk to the village through the "enchanted forest."

Hi Toni, It was fabulous, and your cabin had ALL the amenities of home. Being so close to town through the beautiful trails was a real perk. Your cabin is better equipped than my home!! Thank you. Steve

Dear Toni, we had great time and liked your cabin very much! It was really clean, cozy and well stocked. We loved the view from the back deck. Your photos really don't do it justice! :) We will be back! We also appreciated the crib and the high chair. It was so nice not to have to bring them with us. Thanks so much! Natalie

Dear Toni, We love your cabin! We feel very comfortable and relaxed here. It is our first visit to Pine Mountain Club. The hike to the waterfall was incredibly beautiful. Lots of frozen cascades, bandtail pigeons, blue jays and ground squirrels. We hope to come back with our son. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pine Mountain experience. Cheers, Laurie and John

Dear Toni, Your cabin was a very nice place for us to escape to. We loved everything about it. It rained the first day we arrived but it was very cozy and warm in front of the fireplace. When we walked in from the rain, there was soft welcoming music playing on the radio - nice touch! We will definitely be back for another slice of heaven. Thank you for everything. Hi, this is Alex, Natasha's husband. I am writing to report on our stay at Toni's cabin in Pine Mountain Club. IT WAS GREAT!! It was very cozy and we enjoyed the in-house library and lit the fireplace every night and just sat and talked. One morning I came out for a walk and was started to see a deer right in the yard! with 4 more nearby. my 1.5 year old daughter loved seeing the deer, and the squirrels and all the animals. We did lots of hiking and went up to Mt. Pinos to play in the snow and then it snowed around us the next day! The clubhouse was great... I am pleased there was no Internet access at the cabin, at first I was a bit uncomfortable about that (I am online all the time) but then I got used to it and it was a nice break. :) The trails behind Peter's house were very nice and so was Peter! :) I am back in LA now and missing the cool crisp fresh air of the mountains.

Dear Toni, Thanks again for letting us stay in your cabin. This time was more wonderful than the last. We totally missed the trails last time!!! Literally 5 minutes to the Pine Market. Such a winter wonderland. We're thinking next time we want to see what the summer feels like. Great big thankful hugs to you! Love, Jacqueline and gang.

    • Toni - Pine Mt. is a feast for the senses! The stillness, the stars, the enchanting walk to the village, the colors in the cabin, the snap of the wood in your beautiful fireplace - memorable! My visit has inspired me to be more creative in my life back in the city.

Toni, Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful weekend up at your cabin! The cabin is adorable, as is the village. We took the walk to the village as you suggested and I also bought a really cute skirt in the sale at your friend’s shop & met a few of the locals! Leo adored the cabin and said it was the best cabin ever (I think he got a kick out of sleeping in the closet Harry Potter style)!! Wish we could go up there lots more. Thanks you and Namaste... Claire
