Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1986

I retired from Disney Studios almost 2 years ago. Now I work part-time as a paralegal and I like to travel, especially doing home exchanges. I grew up in upstate NY so I love coming to the mountains for the change of seasons and the snow!

Why the Owner Chose Pine Mountain Club

My ex-husband and I bought this cabin in 1986. We had thought of looking in Big Bear, east of LA, but a friend told us about Pine Mountain Club which is so much closer and quieter. It's never crowded, even on holidays, and has a real small town feel, plus it's only 90 minutes from my home in Pasadena. The golf course is beautiful and I enjoy cross country skiing and hiking on Mt. Pinos, only 20 minutes away.

The Unique Benefits of this Cabin

When I'm in my cabin I feel like I'm in another world. It's absolutely quiet, and the back deck looks out onto green space with birds, squirrels and the occasionally deer. The interior is all knotty pine, even the ceilings, and there's a big stone fireplace. Starting right across from the cabin a neighbor has built a series of rock-lined paths through the woods; it's just a 10 minute walk to the village through the "enchanted forest."

Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your cabin. I did stay at a lot of other cabins but yours now is my favorite. Everything was so nice and cozy. We didn't want to leave. Thanks again!

Third time back. This time we got to enjoy this place during the summer. I got to hike in the trails and around town. We really enjoyed the beauty of all the natural plants and trees. Can't wait to come back again. As usual, a great big thank you hug!

Hi Toni, I just got home. You should never let people looking at property stay at your place! Everything I looked at was junk, in comparison! We are looking mostly at lots, and the cheap short sales, and it's really hard to find something on the low end, that is even 1% of your lot's appeal. What a view. I loved everything. The deck was perfect to put my pup pen, and pads on for my maltese. A perfect mix of decorator items, and I even looked at your photo album. I would love to stay again in the near future. I will get back with you soon. Thank you so much! --Martha Nali

Hi Toni, It was fabulous, and your cabin had ALL the amenities of home. Being so close to town through the beautiful trails was a real perk. Your cabin is better equipped than my home!! Thank you. Steve

Dear Toni, we had great time and liked your cabin very much! It was really clean, cozy and well stocked. We loved the view from the back deck. Your photos really don't do it justice! :) We will be back! We also appreciated the crib and the high chair. It was so nice not to have to bring them with us. Thanks so much! Natalie

Dear Toni, We love your cabin! We feel very comfortable and relaxed here. It is our first visit to Pine Mountain Club. The hike to the waterfall was incredibly beautiful. Lots of frozen cascades, bandtail pigeons, blue jays and ground squirrels. We hope to come back with our son. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pine Mountain experience. Cheers, Laurie and John

Dear Toni, Your cabin was a very nice place for us to escape to. We loved everything about it. It rained the first day we arrived but it was very cozy and warm in front of the fireplace. When we walked in from the rain, there was soft welcoming music playing on the radio - nice touch! We will definitely be back for another slice of heaven. Thank you for everything. Hi, this is Alex, Natasha's husband. I am writing to report on our stay at Toni's cabin in Pine Mountain Club. IT WAS GREAT!! It was very cozy and we enjoyed the in-house library and lit the fireplace every night and just sat and talked. One morning I came out for a walk and was started to see a deer right in the yard! with 4 more nearby. my 1.5 year old daughter loved seeing the deer, and the squirrels and all the animals. We did lots of hiking and went up to Mt. Pinos to play in the snow and then it snowed around us the next day! The clubhouse was great... I am pleased there was no Internet access at the cabin, at first I was a bit uncomfortable about that (I am online all the time) but then I got used to it and it was a nice break. :) The trails behind Peter's house were very nice and so was Peter! :) I am back in LA now and missing the cool crisp fresh air of the mountains.
