This vacation house is on the shore of a quiet, secluded lake and is located less than 20 minutes from Elk Mountain Ski Resort, 2 hours from the George Washington Bridge and 12 miles to the scenic and friendly town of Montrose, the 'county seat.' The opportunities for hiking, skiiing fishing and boating make time spent here relaxing with family and friends that much more memorable.

The natural beauty and small town atmosphere add to the luxury of this quiet vacation spot. The house underwent an inside and outside complete rennovation (the home was entirely new and redesigned in 2004-2005)including the addition of steam showers and a 600sq/ft deck that leads out to the private dock. Because this is a private lake, public boating is not allowed. This keeps privacy high and results in an uncrowded lake for the enjoyment of fishing, swimming, kayaking, rowing, canoeing and sailing.

We take pride in living in harmony with our surroundings, which is why we practiced several green and sustainable living methods in the design /building process. We used Hemlock and Spruce trees harvested locally and from the property, for the hardwood floors and trim. Also, Hydronic radiant-heated floors and natural lighting have helped increase energy efficiency and comfort throughout the house. For those looking for a beautiful, quiet setting, and luxurious rich yet modern vacation rental close to Elk Mountain this is a perfect retreat.

Before Memorial Day and After the Labor Day Holiday or whenever available in the summer, with few exceptions, we also welcome Getaways for singles, one or more couples, companies (corporate families) for gatherings, retreats, and conferences, on a one night, two day use or for multiple nights/days. Wine tasting and uniquely catered stays are included in our many special offers. All priced according to your needs, your budgets and our capability of tapping local resources.


For the Holistic and Natural Cure minded:
We also can provide 'cool heat indoor cedar cabins' in the summer, and in the winter, you can call them 'radiant heat therapy indoor private cabins'. They are a phenomenal way to relax, cleanse, and rejuvenate your whole self and are much more beneficial, than a spa or hot tub. Use of these can be negotiated into a final price since they are not included in the basic rental fee. Consultation available for lasting weight loss and management,
whole body detoxification, cleansing, rejuvination and using food as medicine.

Food or 'superior herbs' can be a part of the educaitonal program, 'Superior herbs' or 'food herbs are the largest group of herbs from China and used throughout the world today. They can be consumed daily. They are known as adaptogenic herbs. Schizandra and Ginseng are in this category as well. They modulate the body systems helping the whole body achieve balance and equalibrium.
