The condominium is located on the 3rd floor overlooking historic Basin Street (birth place of blues and jazz) and the newly restored Saenger Theater with views of the hotel Montelone and French Quarter and Mississippi River in the background. This is the best location for taking in all the Mardi Gras parades on Canal street just outside the main lobby door or access to the French quarter fest across the street or Jazz fest along the Canal street car line outside the building or Essence festival at the Mercedes Benz Superdome 4 easy blocks away. The condominium is 1000 sq feet with 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with hard wood floors throughout and large sound proof double glass pane windows and soaring 14 foot ceiling, adorned with designer custom furniture and original artwork and tract lighting. The gourmet kitchen has walnut wood cabinetry with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, microwave and refigerator and electric flat cook top. There are granite counter tops with a long breakfast bar overlooking a large living room in the center of the condominium. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the living room. The laundry room has an energy efficient washer/dryer unit and is located adjacent to the guest bathroom with porcelain tiled floor and shower stall and granite bathroom vanity. The guest bedroom has a queen sized bed with high end bedding and 1000 thread count sheets and walk in closet. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with custom designed furniture and light fixtures and similar high end bedding and sheets and walk in closet and on suite bathroom porcelain tile floors and soaking tub/shower combination. There is basic cable\wireless internet access throughout the house and a flat screen TV in the living room and master bedroom. The main building is historic and beautifully restored with 1800 architecture and was originally one of New Orleans oldest department stores. It has all amenities needed for the seasoned traveler including secured gated valet parking service for guests (guest who stay for 3 months are given a free parking pass), concierge service with 24 hour security and lobby with wireless internet. Access to the full service state of the art gym is also located on the ground floor as well as the laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers for large items. The 6th floor of the main building has a roof top pool with out door jacuzzi tub over looking Canal Street with magnificent 360 degree views of the french quarter and central business district and midcity. There is also a large business center with wireless internet located adjacent to the pool deck. Most of your needs can be met allowing you to fully enjoy your visit while in New Orleans. Chef Jeff can be hired in advance to cater a meal during your stay if you choose a tasteful private dine in experience. I am accepting monthly rentals with a 3 month minimum at present.

The building is located on the corner of the historic Basin Street (the birthplace of Blues and Jazz) and Canal Street. Everything is within walking distance from the oldest - St. Louis cemetery (Marie Laveau's tomb 1881) to the Mercedes Benz Super dome. There is easy access to city park along the canal street car line or historic uptown along the St. Charles Street car line. All Mardi gras parades roll outside the building on Canal street. One has the convenience of access to all the french quarter restaurants and bars and riverfront and all the popular central business venues such as Harrah's Casino or New Orleans Convention Center - all within walking distance

The Unique Benefits at this Condo: This building was originally one of the oldest department stores in New Olreans dating back to the early 1900s. There are two building with the main historic building located on Canal street and Basin Street and the adjoining Storyville building located on Iberville street and Basin Street. The builder restored this diamond in the rough and highlighted all the original architectural details and added all the modern amenities of downtown living with no expense spared for the small details. Attention was given to salvaging everything original to both structures including beams and large framed windows throughout both buildings and maintained the very high ceilings. The walls throughout the buildings are well insulated and sound proof windows allow a quiet retreat from all the fun that makes the city of New Orleans great.
