This spacious coastal dream home is nestled amid pines, live oaks, and palm trees on a sub-tropical island paradise. Designed for the view, all the major rooms over look the marsh, Fripp Inlet and Hunting Island off in the distance. The plan for this home has won major awards, including best contemporary design in the Midwest’s largest and most prestigious home show.
Located in Fiddler’s Trace, one of Fripp’s most exclusive neighborhoods, you will enjoy the privacy of a nature preserve while watching deer and sea birds from the screened porch. Relax after a day at the beach (five minutes by golf cart), playing golf or tennis, or exploring the lighthouse on Hunting Island (the island closest to Fripp) and you will soon be calling Pelican Landing home.
You will enjoy our comfortable and well decorated home, but it is the island and the Low Country that will stay with you long after vacation is over. With three and a half miles of uncrowded beach, it is likely you will see a sea turtle laying eggs or turtles hatching and making their run for the sea. And you will never forget your first taste of Low Country shrimp, watching the sunset over the marsh or the moonrise over the ocean.
Come stay at Pelican Landing and leave with memories that will last a lifetime. We will make your day at the beach as easy as possible. In addition to our golf cart, you will find bikes, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach toys, and coolers. There are games, puzzles, movies, and books for a stay at home evening. We also provide information on our favorite restaurants and tourist attractions. We hope to make your stay exceed all expectations.
When you pull back the winding drive way to our home, you will appreciate the quiet, peaceful setting. Notice the convenient outdoor waterfall shower as you approach the front entrance. From the entrance hall to the great room, the openness and large windows maximize the views. The great room includes an entertainment center with a 35 inch screen TV (with Direct TV), a DVD, and CD player. Bring your favorites or enjoy one of the many movies provided. Adjoining the great room, the dining room seats eight, and has a small deck to enjoy your seafood appetizers and a glass of wine. The kitchen includes an island cook top and everything needed to prepare your favorite gourmet meal. The laundry room and pantry are conveniently located off the kitchen.
The very romantic first floor Master Suite has a pine four-poster rice bed, a vaulted ceiling, half-round window, and French doors opening to a private screened porch. It will be hard to tear yourself away from the wildlife viewing and beach book reading to enjoy all the activities that await you just minutes away. This suite also includes a TV with Direct TV, DVD player, and a spacious bathroom with Kohler’s oversize Caribbean jet bathtub, Kohler’s His and Her sinks, and a separate shower.
Both second floor bedrooms are oversize (13 feet by 16 feet). The Marshview Bedroom has a queen-size bed with Direct TV and ceiling fan. The Sandcastle Bedroom has two twin beds (that can be converted to a king-size, request needs to be made at time of booking). The loft has a daybed with a trundle bed that sleeps two. Baby furniture is available for a $35 set up fee (includes crib, bedding including bumper pads; highchair; playpen; and roll around seat). All bedrooms have top of the line Spring Air mattresses, Ralph Lauren pillows, premium bedding, terry cloth robes, and extra bedding in the closets.
