Aloha, Enjoy an Old Hawaiian Experience at Kuilima at the Turtle Bay Resort, an hour away from Waikiki but a century away in time.
Your Master Suite with queen bed and private bath with a Garden View are down the hall, fully separated from the living room where a Temper Pedic Futon comfortably sleeps two. The other bathroom is nearby in the hall. The full kitchen is all new, with cherry cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Living and dining area are open to the screened Lanai (patio). The Lanai opens to a beautiful garden area with the golf course 75 feet beyond. Newly painted and remodeled with all new linens and refinished tub and shower. We have gated parking with 24 hour security guards in the complex. We provide you with directions from the airport and our onsite manager meets you with the keys and parking fob. She is a few apartments away to help you if a need arises. Our manager also tells us that our unit is the best of the many she manages, and less expensive too!
Enjoy the gorgeous 880 acres of the Turtle Bay Resort. Take a ten minute stroll to the beach, 5 minutes to Leilei's restaurant, two world class golf courses, tennis courts, the swimming pools and the hotel. Take part in or view world class surfing close by at Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Waimea Bay or even at the resort Garden Bar. Horseback riding is at the resort, ride or walk on trails to secluded beaches on the property.
Nearby, sample fresh local shrimp and leave your autograph at a famous shrimp truck. See old Hawaii lifestyles at the Polynesian Culture Center just minutes away. Visit Hali'ewa Town and dine at Jamieson's, Haleiwa Joe's, Breakers or Cholo's. Even a McDonald's burger can be had, but you have to try a Avocado Burger at Kua'aina.
An' brudda, ya got ta 'ave a shave ice in Hali'ewa.
Beauty abounds and there are beaches every where. Walk to private Kawela Bay and look for the sets from the TV phenomenen LOST. Hawaii 5-0 and Off the Map are filmed near here. Watch or take part in surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling. Drive to Dillingham Airfield and take a Glider ride. Check out Kualoa Ranch and Holiday Farm the Macadamia nut Farm and Dole's pineapple plantation. Even go into Waikiki for some crowds, and good eats. And of course, Pearl Harbor and Wartime monuments.
Enjoy our Aloha Nui Loa condo!

My family of four stay here over the holidays and could not have had a better time or place to stay for our value. This is a clean and comfortable condo located in a nice complex near Turtle Bay Resort. We found the condo description to be accurate and it had all the comforts of home. The beach at the resort was great for snorkeling especially during the winter when many beaches on the island are not. In fact ,we found the cove to be better snorkeling than Hanama Bay. We did not find any noise issues or pest/insect problems that reviews at other properties for similar units have mentioned. The owners were very easy to work with and the lady who is there to let you in is friendly and accomodating. You won't be disappointed and we want thank the owners for a wonderful experience and all your helpful hints. We will definitely stay here aain if we return to the island.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My husband and I just returned from our stay at this terriffic condo. The owners were excellent to work with and were very helpful, even just a few hours before our check-in. The condo is spacious and it was comfortable with open windows and fans running. The air conditioner located in the living room is nice, but we didn't notice much difference in using it compared to the fans and the Hawaiian breeze! The owners just installed new carpet throughout the condo and a fresh coat of paint in the living room. I believe that we were the first to stay since the installation! The kitchen is great! It's nicely updated and has everything that you need. There are plenty of towels available, an iron and ironing board, and having the washer and dryer inside the condo was a nice plus! Even though it was just the two of us, having two bathrooms was wonderful for getting ready to venture out every morning. The bed was comfortable, and the TV located in the Master Suite was nice to have as well. You are able to hear the neighbors come and go, but you will find that no matter which condo you choose to stay in during your trip. We were only bothered by noise from the upstairs residents on one evening out of the six that we stayed, so we quickly got over it and got on with our vacation! For the money, you just can't beat this condo. We really enjoyed our time here and felt like we got everything that we wanted out of our Hawaiian vacaiton without spending all of our money on a hotel room. The North Shore is a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, while still having the ability to take a drive to the city. I give a glowing reccomendation!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We just got home from 6 days at the condo. We had a fantastic time! The condo is spacious enough for three or possibly four people. It had everything you could need, just like home. The unit was clean and comfortable. The neighbors were nice and not too loud. There was a great breeze through the unit if you opened all the windows, so we never needed the A/C. The full size washer and dryer let us pack light and just do carry-on. The pools at the complex are newly remodeled and so nice. The unit is close enough to walk to Turtle Bay resort and enjoy their amenities too. The beach was just a 5 minute walk. The North Shore location is awesome. It's a slower pace, like Maui, but close enough to do day trips to Honolulu. We took surfing lessons from Hans Heneman, located on the Turtle Bay resort property. It was great! There are plenty of shrimp trucks, grocery stores, beaches, and fruit farm stands in a very close distance. You really won't need Honolulu, except for your cheap souvenirs and the airport.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This unit was quite nice. Inside the walls were a little thin and we could hear some noise from the neighbors but all in all it was not that bad. The Wi Fi in the unit was handy and was a breeze to use. Overall Turtle bay is in a nice spot with many good restaurants within a short drive. Outside it featured a newly renovated pool area that and was a very short walk to the a beach that featured a calm swimming cove which is hard to come by on the north shore. All in all my wife and I were very happy with our stay and so was our daughter.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Turtle Bay is a lovely resort and there are many lovely places to stay. This is not one of them. First, the living room faces a major highway so when the sliding glass door is open or one is sitting on the lanai, it is noisy. Second, there is air conditioning in the living room but it does not cool the bedroom. One solution is to open the sliding glass door in the bedroom. However, it opens onto a noisy parking lot and also the stairs leading to the upper unit. The individuals in the upper unit are noisy and play loud music. One can therefore be hot, quiet and private while in the bedroom or cool, noisy and public. Third, the owners told us they had wifi but it turns out they were piggybacking off a neighbor and when we were there the wifi in the living room was non-existent and minimal in the bedroom. We needed wifi so left and they refused to give us even a partial refund. Find a quiet, cool, better place to stay with owners who clearly represent what their unit offers.Owner response: This renter is not being truthful. The lanai is 1/4 mile from a 2 lane road with many trees and a golf fairway and stream between them. It is near the access road to the resort and has normal resort traffic. The condo is quite cool, these people apparently wanted it cold. There are ceiling fans in the Livingroom and master bedroom as well as louver windows in each. Ventilation is quite easy to accomplish here. The Parking lot is not noisy, there are few people coming and going. The people upstairs were also vacation renters and noise can happen. When we have been there the people upstairs vary in sound, often we hear nothing. These people were accessing the wrong wifi, their mistake. We have a single independant wifi right next to the TV. This is a condo in a complex where there are other people! Noise is possible! The Condo is in Hawaii, it can be hot. I believe that this renter was resentful when they found, by calling me that they were using the wrong wifi and had already made arrangements to go to a hotel and they couldn't get a refund. They are making things far worse than I can imagine they ever could be. I have been renting this, our personal condo for 6 years and this is the first negative response I have had. Read the other responses and make your decision.

I booked this room for me and my aunt from 5/6/10 to 5/13/10. I am so happy that I found this condo rental. The owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with and Mark was there to greet us with a smile and answer any questions we had. The condo is well maintained and the only thing we had to bring was our clothes; the condo has everything else! We love staying on the North side of the island as it is much quieter than Waikiki. I highly recommend staying here; too bad our stay was only for 7 days.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

It was hot when we were there but this condo was amazingly cool. We used the air conditioner very little. I guess it was because we were on the ground floor, yet we heard little noise from upstairs. Being close to the pool was great and we loved the almost private beach the owners suggested. We are coming back! Aloha, C&ADid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

It was a lovely condo, convenient to the Hotel, Northshore Beaches, Golf, tennis courts, and the pool (beautiful mosaics). Groceries and restaurants are close by for being away from the crowds in Waikiki. We looked at other condo's and didn't see one that was as nicely appointed as this one.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: We are Cary and Georgia Robles of Bend, Oregon.
Why the Owner Chose Turtle Bay:
Nearing retirement, we wanted to have a warm winter getaway. We love Hawaii but wanted to be away from the hustle bustle of Honolulu. I used to Surf and we were beach people when we were younger. The Northshore was the place!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the first floor, there is always a cool breeze, we have never used the air conditioner because we are insulated by the upper floor. We love to walk to the beach by the hotel or to our special hideaway, Kawela Bay.
