We had a wonderful time here. Our son and family joined us and the whole experience went well. The house met our expectations and offered us a starting point for river rafting, horseback riding and many other high country experiences. The houdse was clean and the amenities were plentiful. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and would recommend this place to friends

We stayed at this fantastic property for eleven nights during our trip around Utah/Wyoming and Colorado, it was superb. It is one of the best equipped homes that we have stayed in (we have been vacationing in the USA for 20 years) there was everything that you could possibly need for a comfortable, self-catering visit. The property was immaculately clean and beautifully fitted out, including lots of activity ideas and information on Salida and the surrounding areas. The views from the deck and hot tub of the mountains and Arkansas valley are breathtaking. Salida downtown is a lovely old town, very friendly and lots of fun. David and Cathy (the owners) are a pleasure to deal with, all rental transactions were dealt with professionally and without fuss. Generally, we never re-visit past vacation places (there is so much to see in the USA) but, this is somewhere that we would certainly think about in our future plans.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children.
