Situated on a half acre of beautifully landscaped grounds with its own private swimming pool only a one minute walk from the beach, staying at Hale Pohaku is like spending your vacation in your own private vacation village, combining a level of privacy hard to find within the Poipu Resort area with the ability to host private events.
Within our fenced village are two fully restored 2 bedroom/1 bath historic plantation cottages from the 1940s, a third larger cottage built to mimic the other two, and our 5-bedroom/3 bath Manager's House, one of Poipu's earliest homes built in 1954. Only a minute's walk from the pristine white sandy beaches of Poipu, you'll be lulled to sleep every night by the waves, and awaken every morning to the gentle sea breezes.
With a private swimming pool just for our guests, lush tropical landscaping and large grassy yard, the cottages and Manager's Home provide an intimate, peaceful ambiance reminiscent of Hawaii in the 1950s.
Each of our units is designed to give you the ultimate in home-away-from-home comfort. The kitchens all include full-sized appliances (including dishwashers), plus just about every small appliance we can think of. Each house also has its own washer and dryer.
Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in the middle of the Poipu Beach resort area, Hale Pohaku is a perfect holiday choice for wedding parties looking for the ultimate in privacy, destination weddings, families with children seeking the the ultimate in safety, comfort and convenience, and groups of family and friends who just want to vacation in Paradise together.
A large grassy area in the center of the compound is perfect for wedding parties and group gatherings. Four separate barbeque grills and four full kitchens mean group meals are a snap to prepare.
Located only a few minutes' walk from Poipu's Baby Beach (a protected inlet where locals as well as tourists bring babies and toddlers of all ages), Hale Pohaku offers a number of advantages for groups traveling with small children. Our pool is the same depth throughout, so there are no concerns about stepping off "into the deep end."
We have high chairs and cribs available, and can provide you with information on renting additional baby equipment. The property is located on a quiet, sleepy cul-de-sac, and is surrounded by a combination of lava rock walls and fencing, helping prevent children from running into the road.
