The master bedroom is outfitted with a queen-size custom made log bed, a master bath with large jet tub, and an exquisite view of the bay. A massive stone fireplace sets the tone for the tastefully decorated living area, featuring a separate dining area and complete kitchen. A spiral staircase leads up to the cozy loft and its excellent view of the bay. The full length bay windows overlook Lake Huron, numerous islands and Canada. For those relaxing summer nights, sit on the large deck with a built-in gas grill, and comfortable patio furniture... perfect to watch the sunset! Or enjoy the view from the screened-in porch. The second bedroom also has a beautiful custom made rustic bed, and a lake view. The third bedroom has a bunkbed with a double on the bottom. A perfect place to relax while enjoying privacy and nature's beauty. As an extra service, Our mattresses, carpet and sofas have been PROFESSIONALLY SANITIZED, using the Hygienitech system. Mattresses are Dust Mite and Allergen-Free to make our guests who suffer from allergies more comfortable!

About the owner: I built Island Retreat in 2000 with the help of a very accomplished local contractor. I enjoy being there whenever possible. I live with my daughters in Traverse City, Mi., about three hours from Drummond. I am an Ann Arbor native, a big sports fan and nature lover.
