This island paradise boasts six nicely appointed rooms each with its own theme and charm. Upstairs you will find the Sandcastle Suite featuring a queen-size bed, full private bath, and a walk-in closet. Just across the hall is the Regatta Room in bright nautical colors with a queen-size bed and an attached bath.
Down the hall is the Captain's Quarters with a queen-size bed, a full-size sleeper sofa, a large private bath with jacuzzi tub and shower. The other rooms include Lighthouse Point (queen-size bed), Mermaid Lagoon (queen-size bed with private bath), and the super kid-friendly Surf Shack featuring two twins, a pull-out twin,its own TV, VCR, and game spot.
Yellow Fin is located a block from the beach and within walking distance to shopping and dining. The only grocery store on the island, Tybee Market, is a 1/2 block down the street!

The Unique Benefits at this House
When we gather as a family at Yellowfin, we love to cook family meals. The kitchen is huge and one of my favorite things in the house is the large green tile counter in the kitchen/dining area. It is our buffet table for meals and it is where the kids eat their breakfast. Like the kitchens at home, it tends to be the room we gather in. We also love to gather at the tables on the screened porch and play card games and board games or just catch up with one another. The children and their friends like to stow away in the downstairs surf shack and Lighthouse room as far away from the adults as they can get. It is always fun to see the pictures they take when nobody is looking. If the lemon tree has fruit, they like to pick lemons, make lemonade and set up a stand. When the children were a little younger, it was nice having the fenced yard. Sometimes they didn't want to be inside and they don't want to spend every moment at the beach. In the fenced side yard they have played frisbee, tag, volleyball and more. Renee's girls are now 13 and 15 and will spend plenty of time at the beach but also love walking down Tybrisa and going in the shops. We always go to AJ's Dockside on the back river at least once while we stay and the kids insist we get ice cream at Tradewinds. You have to try their Savannah Mud! We enjoy riding bikes on the island, visiting the lighthouse and feeding the alligators at the Crab Shack. If the adults are wanting a special dinner out, I would have to suggest the Sundae Cafe. It is actually my favorite restaurant on Tybee or Savannah! The food is delicious every single time.

We are comprised of three sisters, Susan, Karen and Renee, and our respective families. Our parents rented a home at Tybee every summer and we grew up surfing the waves, strolling the beaches and crabbing on the back river. In 2005, we got together and decided to purchase a beach house of our own. We named the LLC, Charlie's Dream, after our father who had passed away years earlier but had longed to own his own piece of Tybee. Our dream with Yellowfin, has always been to enjoy wonderful family times there but to also open it up to other families so they could make there own special Tybee memories. Our grandmother lived on Tybee when the only access was by train or boat. Our grandfather was actually stationed at Fort Screven on Tybee's North end decades ago. Susan's daughter, Jennifer, was married on the beach the summer of 2001 and Renee's husband proposed to her in the one spot he knew meant more than any other...Tybee Island. It has been a magical place for us for generations and we hope at our beach home, Yellowfin, you can capture some of that same magic with your family!

We are packing our bags to leave and are sad to go because we had such a wonderrful time! Yelllow Fin was perfect for our mini family reunion. The house was exactly as described and was extremely clean and well maintained. The owner was very attentive to our needs and was very easy to work with. The house is a short walk to a quiet beach, restaurants, churches and shopping. Savannah is a short ride away for tours of historic homes, horse-drawn carriage rides or fabulous southern food. This spot has something for everyone! We really enjoyed our stay here!

My family and I stayed here in the summer of 2010. The description was very accurate. My son and his wife got married on the beach...what an awesome view! What a beautiful home also...couldn't have asked for anything more (had everything we could have needed). The house is very clean, roomy and cozy...we had 15 people stay (3 of them were children). We went parasailing while we were there...absolutely loved it. We also went into Savannah and ate at Paula Deen's Restaurant...delicious! We loved shopping in the little shops uptown in Tybee, and also enjoyed the historical ride through Savannah. We made lots of memories and would love to come back soon. Yellow fin is a great place to stay. Being in close proximity to the beach and the complete amenities, your family will have a wonderful vacation. We had our 2006 family reunion/vacation here and left with great memories thanks in part to the accommodations. Nice spacious floor plan!

Our Family Gathering was a real success thanks to the wonderful accomodations at "Yellowfin". This is so much more than a rental at the beach. The owners have gone out of their way to make this fantastic house a home. All of the rooms are tastefully appointed and so many extras are included that you just feel at home. We had family members that travelled from 8 different states to spend the week at Tybee Island. Many had never heard of the Island and none but myself had ever seen the house. Everyone was so impressed with the appearance and layout of "Yellowfin" that they said it was the best place we have ever gathered as a family. Thank You for making our group venture such a memorable event.

We gathered at your lovely beach house this weekend to celebrate our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. As we prepare to leave, we only wish that we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed staying in your house. We were surprised the weather was so cold. You need more than 1 dishcloth and 1 dishtowel in the upstairs kitchen. Had fun in Savannah and also toured Charleston. Restaurants in Tybee were very good, especially Sundae's.

What a wonderful time we had! The Adams Clan including the Hildreths and Bells from Orlando, FL, The Hypes from Cincinnati, OH, Etmans from Detroit, MI and Melanie from Portland, OR- three generations! We had excellent weather even though Hurricane Wilma was threatening Cozumel most of the week. The beach is lovely. The restaurants were welcoming and served delicious meals and the house was such a good "home away from home." We played cards, watched movies, and read on the porch. We laughed, we cried, we laughed until we cried. We visited Savannah and did the tour. The Hildreths were stationed there in '43 and I honeymooned there in '69. We loved the ambiance of Tybee!
