Sherrie we have just spent three weeks in your beautiful condo. We have had such an amazing holiday and spent lots of time just relaxing on the wonderful lanai,and to see the turtles just about everyday was so amazing,we also saw a beached seal one day(very exciting) the views are out of this world. Duncan and Rick went deep sea fishing with Fuzz at Die Hard fishing trips in Lahanai it was the highlight of their holiday they left at 1a.m and got back at 11.30a.m Rick caught a 66lb tuna and between 4 men they caught 26 fish and unlike some of the fishing trip company's they got to keep some of the fish they caught,so your well appointed kitchen came in very handy. Sherrie when ever we had a question it was never a problem,you were always quick to respond and we thank you.

My family of 13 went to Maui for 10 days and we had 3 separate condos in Kahana....This condo, with its amazing view of the ocean, with whales breeching daily, and 4 sea turtles that we could see from the deck every day, made it very hard to leave. The last day we were there was the most beautiful rainbow! We loved hearing the ocean every night that put us right to sleep...Sherrie, we had everything that we needed in this condo to make our stay very comfortable. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of Paradise with us. We miss being there...but we will be back! MAHALO....

Sherrie, We arrived at your beautiful condo on Feb. 20th for a 2 week stay. It was exactly like the photos on the website. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from almost every room. The condo is so nicely decorated; we cooked most days so having a well equipped kitchen was greatly appreciated. Every evening we sat on the lanai and watched the sunsets. How gorgeous they were!!!! We also want to "thank you" Sherrie for being so helpful during the planning of our trip, you always responded so quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed a few tours and a luau. Great fun!! Two very good restaurants that we visited are "The Castaways and Leilani's". We would highly recommend this condo to anyone, and if we get a chance to go back I will definitely be contacting Sherrie!! It is a small piece of paradise!!! Aloha Sherrie and Mahalo!!

Thank you so much, Sherrie, for providing such a great place to stay and for your kind Aloha spirit. We could not be happier with the condo. The views (OMG!), the comfortable and inviting furnishings, generously sized living spaces, a well appointed kitchen with every appliance and gadget that we needed, fresh bed and bath areas and linens. It was like being at home, only much much better ! Although the weather was blissfully warm and the lanai and condo gets sun from about 10:30 in the morning right through till sunset, we did not need to use the air conditioning at all. The air flow through the unit, assisted by the trade winds, is great and kept us all fresh-air comfortable night and day. This is our fourth trip to Maui and although we had planned to do more (e.g. still haven’t done the Road to Hana), truthfully there were days when we didn’t even try to drag ourselves off the lanai. We saw lots of whales and turtles daily, were treated to the sight of a close in pod of spinner dolphins passing by and a seal playing in the shore break once. Even the entertainment of the human variety was fun to watch - surfers, wind surfers, paddle surfers, skim boarders, kite boarders. So pleased that you have equipped the lanai with plenty of chairs, tables and loungers – our party of four put them to good use. We also really appreciated having access to your WiFi and other in-suite amenities like the washer and dryer, ice maker as well as the beach chairs, boogie boards and cooler. This really is a great place to stay, amazing value for money and I would not hesitate to recommend it fully. Conversing with and making arrangements with you was just icing on the cake. Thanks again.

We took a sisters trip to Hawaii and I was surprised at this beautiful room!!! The owner has the kitchen stocked unlike any other condo I have rented. It was wonderful to have the essentials plus the extras there for us to use. The condo is huge, clean and has a million dollar view! I would highly recommend staying here!

I really enjoyed the condo at the Royal Kahana. The place was lovely, clean and quiet. The view from the lanai was breaktaking. There was everything in the condo that you needed. There are restaurants within walking distance and the town of Lahaina was only a short distance away by car. I would definitely recommend this condo and would come back again.

Sherrie, we just want to thank you for sharing your Paradise with our family. When we first entered your condo, we all gasped (with delight!) The sweeping ocean views, with the Islands of Molokai and Lanai in the background, were truly outstanding. The condo layout was perfect for our family, we had so much room to roam! We split our time between Honolulu and Maui, came for our son's wedding, and really wished we had spent our entire stay here! It was everything we had hoped it would be. Could not have asked for more! The condo was very clean and well maintained. Loved your decor! The furnishing were quite comfortable, many choices of sitting areas in the livingroom. Also appreciated the extras, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, etc. We made good use of the beach chairs, took them down to the beach everyday, but also enjoyed the pool. The grills at the pool came in handy, as we felt we had the best oceanfront dining right at the condo! Well stocked kitchen was also appreciated. We did dine at Roy's across the street, exceptional dinner! Also took you up on your suggestion of breakfast at the Gazebo in Napili, it was well worth the wait in line! I know that when we return to Maui, probably within the next two years, we will definately want to book your condo. And, we have many friends who vacation in Maui often, we will certainly refer them to your heaven on earth! thank you, Sherrie, your condo was the icing on the cake for our trip to Maui! aloha, Carol

First of all, we would like to thank Sherrie (owner) for addressing and taking care of any and all concerns we had prior to the stay, during and after! She definitely wants you to be happy. We spent 3 weeks here through the referral of a friend. We made contact with the owner and rented this condo more than 6 months in advance. She was always available to answer any questions. In addition, she referred to us a book "Maui Revealed, The Ultimate Guidebook" by Andrew Doughty. Having a read portion of the book prior to arrival, plus having it available during our stay made all the difference. We have been to all of the islands many times mainly by cruising. In fact, this was the first time we ever rented a condo. We decided to try something different. It is so important to familiarize yourself with the area prior to arriving rather than wasting too much time after the arrival to figure out what to do or where to go. Planning makes all the difference! This condo is large and the views are magnificent from the kitchen, dining room, family room, and masterbedroom. The wrap around lanai allows you to sit outside morning, noon and night for the sunset views, the whales, turtles playing, other islands, cruise ships (we saw them usually on Sunday), the beach area, or just people watching, and the pool area. Free WiFi in the condo makes life easier if you brought your laptop, etc. In addition there is a local coffee shop across the road (walking distance) where you can print your ticket/boarding pass for free. Or your can use their computers for a charge, and if they have good coffee and ice cream. We tried most of the eating places Sherrie recommended and loved them all. Usually ate out for lunch but did some cooking for breakfast and dinner. We did have one additional guest for the first week who used the 2nd bedroom. She enjoyed her stay too. It is important to make yourself familiar with how to use different amenities, or call Sherrie and she will help you. The unit has a sophisticated A/C and cools all the way to 68. There are 2 a/c units for this condo and the thermostats have sensors. Although you could open the sliders and windows to have ocean breezes, we prefer the A/C especially at night. There are a few local grocery stores available and close by, so you do not need to go to Costco as soon as you get off the plane! We had a very relaxing time and would be happy to rent this condo again in the future! Mahalo Sherrie!

Sherrie, the week has flown by so quickly here in Paradise & your great condo. We so loved sitting on the lanai with morning coffee watching the marvelous whales Great scenes in all directions! You have heaven on earth right here. It's great to be in the peace and quiet but yet be only 10 minutes from shopping centers with restaurants by the ocean for entertainment. The best of two worlds. We came to Hawaii this time to totally relax and that's exactly what we did. We travel as a foursome, two sisters, with hubbies and your condo was perfect for us. We'll be back. Mahalo! What we liked: the views are outstanding (5 star!) through the wall of windows or from the lanai – of Moloka’i, Lana’i, sunsets, the ocean. With or without binoculars, whales were visible (sometimes spectacularly) from dawn to dusk. The location: 15-20 mins from parking in Lahaina, 10 mins from Kaanapali and Kapalua, 10 mins from new, lighted (2010) tennis courts by the Post Office, 10mins from grocery shopping, plenty of outstanding restaurant options (and plenty of ‘other’ as well!) within 20mins. What we found acceptable: The condo itself was fine for four adults – comfortable seating, sufficient towels and hot water, mostly working appliances. Parking availability was generally ok, although the spaces are narrow. The quality of assistance provided by Expedia representatives in the lobby varied widely – it helped to know more than they did. Minor inconveniences: lack of cleaning supplies; broken dishwasher, poor water pressure in the master shower, along with an annoying drip; difficult-to-move sliders (2 cans of WD40 helped a little); broken tiles on the lanai; broken chaise on the lanai; people who put towels on the pool chairs at 7am, but don’t come to the pool till noon; very slow Internet connection; lumpy/bumpy tennis courts. What we found totally unacceptable: Finding out after we arrived that the building (and therefore the condo) air conditioning system was unable to cool the condo below 75 degrees and did nothing to remove humidity. The condo was damp and warm. With direct afternoon sun, the temp often exceeded 80 well into the evening. 14 nights x 4 adults = 56 miserable sleep nights. This problem (we learned after we arrived) has existed for months. We would not have booked this condo had we known. Finding out after we arrived that the beach in the photo does not exist, and has not existed for months. The ocean waves come up to the grass bank at low tide, and break over the grass, pool wall, etc. during high tide. Although the photo shows all sand, much has been removed by wave action, leaving many exposed lava rocks.

Owner response:I do take my vacation rentals very seriously...During the guest's stay, there was a problem with the rooftop chiller, and also a secondary problem with the a/c unit in condo itself, which unfortunately was not diagnosed correctly till after the guests departure. The air cond. in the condo is working well now, and my current guests have reported that it can get even chilly. After the guest reported to me his discomfort with the air cond. not working properly, I offered him a hefty discount for the fact that the air wasn't cooling sufficiently. I just wanted to know that he would feel he was compensated fairly. It means everything to me to know that my guests have a most enjoyable stay, and if there are any problems, absolutely, if the problem cannot be resolved, "tell me what I can do to make you happy" is my policy. I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. He agreed that he was fine with the discount, and had been compensated very fairly. After the fact, he chose to write a negative review, which I do feel was a bit harsh. He never notified me of any problems other than the air cond. issue. The dishwasher is less than a year old, it worked perfectly, only had a broken roller on one of the racks, the shower just needed an adjustment, the chair on the lanai needed a nut and bolt...etc. During High Season, we run 100 % occupancy, and sometimes a few annoying things slip through the cracks, as it is impossible to do complete walk thru on back to back days. On my check in instructions, I clearly state to please call me or my maintenence service, which is available 24/7 if there are any issues whatsoever. He never called about any issues, other than the air cond. All these could have been handled the 1st day he arrived. Unfortunately he let this things fester. I would rather have my guests call me, or my maintenence service about any issue, no matter how petty it might seem...than to have a guest depart angry. I cannot fix anything if I don't know there is a problem. as far as the beach,there has been some beach erosion this winter, but in March the beach came back... I sincerely cannot promise how wide the beach will be at any given time...Mother nature is in control of that all in all, I truly value my guests, it is my only hope that my guests have a wonderful stay at my condo, I have many, many repeat guests every year... thank you so much for understanding... aloha, Sherrie

Wow! Hotels don't even come close. This has been home away from home. The view, sound of the waves, the large deck, the 2 master bedrooms and all the conveniences of home. the 1st night here our kids 7&8 asked if we could llive here. The loved the pool & beach and all the tours we took. Perfect for the family. The sunset pictures were great. I took over 100 hots w/my Canon Rebel xsi. You are right on the water with a spectacular view of the ocean and to hear the ocean roar is a favorite for the whole family.For the kids 8 and 7 we used the pool 7 out of 10 days.This condo is close to alot of beaches for a variety of fun for just about everyone.We arrived early Dec.and had great weather 82 to 85 deg. The view! Just the perfect getaway

Our first time in Maui and we picked the right place to stay! We LOVED the place. I traveled to Maui for a week with my husband, one year old daughter and my mom (My inlaws came too and stayed in a unit on the floor above). In choosing a place, I knew we may have to stay in the condo during the daytime for some of my daughters naps and so I wanted to be sure we had a great lanai and a great view- and this was even more beautiful than I imagined. We kept the windows and doors open and the breezes were so great we never even needed the AC (though there is AC in the unit) We went out to dinner most nights but toward the end of our trip we stayed in one night to put my daughter down early- and the sunset from the lanai was the most beautiful of our entire trip, we were there in early September so it set right between Molokai and Lanai! I only wished I had scheduled other days to have cocktails on the lanai at sunset:) The beach was really quiet and the pool was always free- you could snorkel out to the reef and see so many fish. Kahana was a great place to stay too- because we were equidistant between Lahaina and Kapalua so we had a great selection of restaurants in both directions. Roys is within walking distance and the happy hour there was great-- the best deal!!! We frequented the Maui dive shop and the Farmers Market Deli they were super close and so great. I highly recommend staying in this unit- its spacious and refreshing and serene and we just had everything we needed to have a wonderfully memorable vacation.

We were lucky enough to be able to rent this condo for a week of our holidays, and it was absolutley wonderful and a true Maui experience!! Sherrie, The condo is wonderful. It was so comfortable and just perfect. This is the best condo we have stayed in on Maui. The view is tremendous and the pictures were just exactly what it looked like. You never know if the pictures do the unit justice but yours do. The views, pool, and beach were great. It is really nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom and also another one in the main living area. it makes it very convenient for all staying there. The view of the whales from the lanai were tremendous. The entire complex is very clean and well maintained. All of the people there are very helpful and friendly. THE PRESSURE WAS ON FOR ME TO BOOK SEVERAL CONDOS FOR A FAMILY REUNION. THIS UNIT FAR SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS! THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. WE KEPT THE DOORS OPEN OUR ENTIRE TRIP TO ENJOY THE OCEAN BREEZES, AND GOING TO BED AT NIGHT WITH HEARING THE WAVES GENTLY ROCKING US TO SLEEP. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE WHALES LIKE I DID HERE. IT WAS PURE MAGIC EACH TIME I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW. MAKING MEALS FOR EVERYONE WAS EFFORTLESS WITH A WELL STOCKED KITCHEN AND ALL THE AMENITIES AVAILABLE TO ENJOY A SIT-DOWN DINNER. IT WAS SO NICE TO BE SO COMFORTABLE INSTEAD OF GOING OUT TO A RESTAURANT WITH A LARGE GROUP. Sherrie, We visit one of the islands every Thanksgiving. Always searching for the "perfect condo" to which we may return in 4 years. Our criteria list (which you provide) includes: handicap friendly, NO steps, ocean front, air conditioning, 2BR/2BA minimum, fully stocked kitchen,lots of pictures so we are certain there are NO surprises when we check in. A virtual tour would be nice. Your furnishings are very user friendly and makes one feel like staying here 24/7. We are long past playing the tourist role. Love to cook and prepare a gourmet delight for almost every meal. Must have a refrigerator with ice maker, dish washer, stove, oven, washer and dryer in perfect working condition. Costco is close by then airport so our $$$ trip there made our vacation complete. Overall we were pleased with the cleanliness and most of our bare necessities readiy at hand. Sherrie, you were there when we needed you and it was nice not to have to deal with an answering machine. THANKS! We have left your lovely property just as we found it. Dear Sherrie, aloha. It's been a year sice we were in Maui and spent time here in unit 411. We again had a wonderful time and enjoyed the ocean front view. The new furniture in the family room updated the condo. thank's for added details you took care of before our arrival...extra beach chairs, etc. Once again the guys enjoyed their days of golfing and Marilyn and myself ,the beach, pool, and shopping. Who in their right mind would stay in a hotel when you could have an entire home? This condo is ideal for two couples or a family. We had privacy with our own bedrooms and baths as well as an elegant living space and a functional kitchen. We did appreciate the drier air because of the air conditioning, and we had little bird visitor each morning on the lanai. The wedding we attended at the Olowalu Plantation was so special and the luau in Lahaina following the reception was exceptional. We snorked numerous times and liked being able to walk to so many different stores and businesses. We loved the convenience of the washer and dryer and what can one say about the view- except that it's heaven on earth. We return home today after a very relaxing 10 days here. Our stay here has been so fun and relaxing. My husband, myself, and our three daughters were very comfortable here. The condo has everything needed to feel just like home, but in such a beautiful location. We went to the Farmer's Market a couple of times and it was great to have fresh fruit and vegetables with our meals. The view is so amazing that we spent alot of time just relaxing outside. Aloha Sherrie, we came to Maui to celebrate our daughter's wedding. Our two 20 year old sons stayed with us in your beautiful spacious condo. We loved the Lanai and the beautiful views. We all felt like we had our own space & privacy when we wanted it. All of the ammeneties that your condo offers, really help to make a great trip! Thank you for getting the crock-pot.
