We're the Murphys: Joe, Julie, J.P. and Jack (aka the Four J's!) We live in Acworth, GA, a northern suburb of Atlanta. J.P. and Jack are 7 and 5 and a ton of fun. A few times each year, we jump in the minivan and make the easy five-hour drive to experience the island life. When we cross the bridge over the Frederica River to the island, a surreal 'margaritaville' state of mind seems to magically encapsulate each of us...and it usually stays for the entire trip, until it's time to head back to reality. Stress levels drop, funloving lifestyles take over, and each day's panoramic sunset gives way to the serene island nighttime beauty only experienced on St. Simons. Sweet dreams.
