Nestled in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains on serene Cuba Lake, East of Eden has all the comforts of home within a breathtakingly beautiful, natural setting.
East of Eden offers a full kitchen designed for chefs of all levels, complemented by a glass walled dining room with panoramic lake views. A wood paneled living room, complete with cathedral ceiling and fireplace, provides the perfect setting for reading and relaxing. On rainy days the palm tree den is the place for DVD or VHS movie watching, while the screened-in front porch with comfy oversized wicker furniture serves as the ultimate lake-watching spot, day and night, rain or shine.
The first floor master bedroom serves as a romantically decorated hide-away with its ornate iron, queen-size bed and old-fashioned trunk. The bunk bedroom, also located downstairs, is highlighted with a blue gingham sailboat and fish design making it perfect for children of any age.
The second floor boasts a cheerfully decorated dorm room, complete with one full-size and two twin-size beds. Down the hall you will discover the magical circus room with a special twin bed, originally built by a member of the Ringling Brothers Circus.
A comfortably full-sized bathroom is located on the first floor complete with a tub, shower, sink with large vanity, and plenty of hooks and towel bars. Just off the kitchen there's a laundry room, complete with full-size washer and dryer. A gas grill and an oversized charcoal grill are located outside the back door. A stone circle firepit, ready for toasting marshmallows, is set on the rolling front lawn, which gently leads to the lake.
Whether your vacation plans call for swimming, biking and hiking, or sleeping, resting, and relaxing, East of Eden has it all!

For anyone looking to spend some relaxing time away from the daily stress and strains, East of Eden offers the perfect spot. My husband and I have only owned this vacation home for a year, but in that time we have enjoyed every moment spent there, whether together or with family and friends. The house is newly decorated and the grounds provide an incredibly beautiful backdrop for any and all activities from relaxing to boating. I promise you that once you spend time at East of Eden, you will want to come back time and again.
