  Our stay at East of Eden couldn't have been nicer and we think that Cuba Lake is the most beautiful lake in New York State, and maybe the whole USA! Thanks very much for letting us rent your place. We'll be back again in two years!

  This was the first visit to Cuba Lake for our two families and we had a great week at East of Eden. The weather was great with temperatures in the 80's. Fishing was a daily ritual with yellow perch, rock bass, and large mouth bass reeled in every day. We spent time talking and laughing with family and friends. We enjoyed bonfires by the lake and making smores. We even spotted a few shooting stars on a couple of nights. The children especially loved the dorm room and the circus room. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful house where we will all have memories that will not soon be forgotten.

  Our family have been Cuba Lake regulars since 1973. This year we came to East of Eden to celebrate our father's retirement at the young age of 76 years! Extended family came from all over the United States. We won't forget one of our best years ever at Cuba Lake. Lots of laughter, lots of fun, great bonfires, and a great place to stay. Thanks for the perfect setting!

  We enjoyed a wonderful week at East of Eden. The weather was great and the cottage is lovely and very comfortable. Our grandkids had a ball in the water, sometimes 12 hours a day. They did not want to go home. This is a great place to vacation and the cottage and the decorations are cute, cute, cute.

  What a beautiful home, not to mention the lake and nature surrounding it. It was a treat to stay at East of Eden and we had such a relaxing, enjoyable week. The weather was ideal. Early in the morning we enjoyed watching the mist rise from the lake and as the day went on it was fun to watch the ducks and geese play in the water. This is a unique home and I am so glad that my friends and I had the opportunity to experience East of Eden.

  5-10-05 We found East of Eden purely by chance while searching the internet for a vacation get-away. The pictures looked nice, it was on a lake, and we had never heard of or been to Cuba, NY so we figured, why not? We had a great time just watching the ducks on the lake and relaxing. We biked around the lake and a couple of nights we ventured to the ice cream stand for a treat. The one and only day we ventured away from the lake, we went to the Allegany State Park for a bike ride, the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum (highly recommended) and the Salamanca Railroad Museum. We really enjoyed our time at East of Eden, the owners are great, and the cottage is beautiful (the pictures don't do it justice). Great vacation spot!

  What a wonderful world of escape!! My husband and I wanted to get away, but our choices with a newborn in tow were limited and unappealing...Until we found East of Eden. The owners have made every effort to make you feel at home! (And there's a great 45 flavor ice cream stand just down the road!) Wonderful views, comfy beds, books, games...a complete vacation! Highly recommended!

  For anyone looking to spend some relaxing time away from the daily stress and strains, East of Eden offers the perfect spot. My husband and I have only owned this vacation home for a year, but in that time we have enjoyed every moment spent there, whether together or with family and friends. The house is newly decorated and the grounds provide an incredibly beautiful backdrop for any and all activities from relaxing to boating. I promise you that once you spend time at East of Eden, you will want to come back time and again.

A cleaning fee of $100 applies to each week.
