The apartment is a luxurious and spacious two bedroom/2 bath unit located at the West Coast development known as Puerta Del Mar (Garden of the Sea) The master bedroom is a bedroom/bathroom suite. The apartment was the firsts model apartment built by the builder and is tastefully decorated with contemporary flair by their interior designer and our own personal touches as well. It is truly a beautifully decorated unit. The unit is air conditioned and has washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dining room which sits eight, living room, separate den with a 42 inch TV, Stereo, cable and wireless internet. The apartment is located on the third floor with a partial ocean view from the terrace. Beach chairs and towels are available for lounging on Crash Boat Beach. You will find this apartment, clean, spacious and a stress free environment. Movie rentals can be made from the nearby shopping center where you can stock up on groceries for your stay here.
There are two pools, one of which is an infinity pool and clubhouse with panoramic views of Deschero Island and Crash Boat Beach. There is a second gated pool with a waterfall and nearby, a children's playground. Residents and guests can enjoy the numerous gazebos, miradores, and sun decks throughout the development. In season, we are told that you can see whales in their yearly migration.
Puerta Del Mar is a Mediterranean style condominium development built in 2007 consisting of 260 apartments. The development sits 300 feet above sea level with panoramic views of Deschero Island and Crash Boat Beach. A left turn onto Route 107 and another left leads you down a windy road to Crash Boat Beach, 3 minutes away. On the beach you can seek shade from the Palm Trees or settle down at a picnic table where you can enjoy the authentic island cuisine from the vendors who make their living there when in season. Have an ice cold beer while relaxing, swimming in crystal clear waters and if you stay long enough, and you will, enjoying the magnificent sunset. Here you can walk in snorkeling and diving and enjoy the beautiful sponges and marine life that have accumulated over the centuries at the piers.
The condominium is approximately 8 minutes from Rafael Hernandez Airport, minutes to Route 107 which leads to Mayaguez where there is the Mayaguez University, Casinos and one of the best shopping centers on the Island. Along the way, make sure you stop at the Mayaguez Zoo which is unique in that it was built into the Island landscape. The cinema is also close by.
Head in the opposite direction and you can visit the Camuy caves where you will marvel at this eighth wonder and your guide explains how the caves were born.
Surfing: Go to nearby Isabella with great waves off the Atlantic Ocean, and Rincon, a surfer's paradise. Popular surfing beaches are Wilderness Surfing Beach and Gas Chambers, or you just walk and explore the nearly desolate beaches, all within 10 minutes from the condo. Golfing: Check out the nearly Punta Borinquen Golf Course. Also nearby are ice skating, horse back riding, the Punta Borinquen Lighthouse and the Las Cascadas Aquadic Theme Park. Don't forget to check out the local restaurants.
A day trip to San Juan is a leisurely two hour trip where you can experience and view the old fort, El Moro, still standing guard and protecting the City. Here you can park your car and travel through the City via the Trolley Cars and go outlet shopping from famous designers. You'll find casinos, dining and dancing.

About the owner: My husband, who is Dutch/Irish, and I ( I am Puerto Rican descent) met 20 years ago. When we first me, he asked me when was the last time I had been to the Island. I was born and raised in New York and only had a faint memory of visiting when I was a toddler. So he purchased tickets and off we went to the motherland and we fell in love with it and have been treking back to Puerto Rico every since. We always find something different to do, and enjoy our stay every time.
Why the Owner Chose Aguadilla: We stayed in Dorado Beach when the thought hit us that we might as well buy a condo since we enjoyed the Island so much. However, everywhere we looked, the properties were sold out. A friend had just come back from Puerto rico and told us about this property. Not having much time to furnish and decorate the place, we decided to purchase the model. It was the best decision we have ever made.
