Hawaiian Sunrise Waimanalo Beach House
- Minimum stay:5 nights

Waimanalo Beach House is a lovely home along a beautiful six mile long white sand Waimanalo Beach. Waimanalo Beach is located on Hawaii's main island, Oahu, and is just 25 minutes from Honolulu International Airport and famous Waikiki Beach.
It sleeps 8 in the bedrooms and a ninth in the living room on a twin bed. It is right on the beautiful sandy beach and you can see the ocean from the living room, dining room and master bedroom. The beach is magnificent. There are no rocks and no coral. There are beautiful views of the pali cliffs and the sunrise.
There is a three bedroom, two bath main house with shower and jacuzzi tub and HDTV and also a separate cottage with a fourth bedroom with its own queen size bed, HDTV, and bathroom with shower. Magnificent views of several off shore islands and the morning sunrise offer an inspiring start to each day. This is your own piece of paradise, and whether it is a honeymoon, adventure, or family holiday, it has it all. Facilities include a modern kitchen, bamboo floors, koa floors, jacuzzi tub, HDTV's, outdoor hot/cold shower and built-in barbecue pits. The large private yard is adorned with hibiscus flowers, plumeria trees, mature paperbark trees, Madagascar olives and coconut trees! Enjoy the private beach access as you walk through a short, sand trail surrounded by beach Naupaka. Hawaiian style beach house located feet from Waimanalo Beach, the longest stretch of sandy shoreline on O`ahu. The white sand beach directly in front of the house is truly amazing and one of the most spectacular beaches on the Island. There are no rocks or coral reefs to interfere with your enjoyment while swimming. The waves break on the reef offshore. On a clear day, you can see Molokai. Some days you can even see as far as Haleakela on Maui. You can also see Rabbit Island and Black Rock, now sanctuaries for the big sea birds. The pali cliffs are magnificent and some days you can see hang gliders enjoying the Waimanalo breezes. The house has an outdoor hot and cold shower for an easy return to the house from the beach and an outdoor red brick deck.

My family and I were thrilled with our decision to stay at the Waimanalo Sunrise Beach house. We arrived on February 28th and were married on the property on March 3, 2013. The house and beach were amazing backdrops for the 7am sunrise ceremony. The cottage was perfect for my parents. The master was also secluded upstairs. I loved the bath so much that I only used it! The house needs some updating and repairs, but the location can not be BEAT! We spent one day at Honolulu beach and I now prefer old hawaiian Waimanalo Beach! The swimming was perfect for all ages. Safeway was within 5-7 minutes, and there are 2 corner stores within walking distance. Sherry your home spoiled me for my first, but certainly not LAST visit to Hawaii! Stayed here with my grandparents, mother, fiance, fiance's parents and her sister and had the most unforgettable trip of our lives. I grew up on Oahu and my family, like many locals, always thought that Waimanalo Beach is the best on the island, and the beach house did not disappoint. The home itself is beautiful, my fiance and I had the upstairs bedroom which is simply astonishing in how comfortable and romantic it is. The home has many windows which we left open to soak up the breeze coming off the water. The atmosphere is so great at the house that although there are many things to do on the island you may find yourself staying there during your trip. Some of our best memories were cooking, drinking and eating as a family in the huge kitchen and dining room. The barbecue pits provided a number of good dinners. There is a foodland in Kailua about 20 minutes away and a small convenience store very close to the house. Do yourself a favor and grab a plate lunch at Keneke's, which is walking distance from the house. There is local coffee shop next to Keneke's as well. As far as driving you can get to Wakiki in 30 minutes. There are hiking/waterfall destinations even closer than that, and Hanauma Bay is just a short trip away. Waimanalo is not a surfing beach but boogie boarding in the morning can be awesome. The house's proximity to Waikiki is awesome but having the option of just relaxing in such a beautiful place is well worth the trip. I had planned on proposing to my then girlfriend on a hike but when I got to the beach house I realized how perfect it was and popped the question on the beach just behind the house with the fog over the mountains and the sun rising to greet us. Needless to say she said yes, and I think the house may have swayed her opinion! All in all such a great place to be, thank you Sherry we are definitely coming back. Mahalo!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for 1 week with our 3 adult children, daughter-in-law, friend and our new grandson. Plenty of room for all without being on top of each other. House has incredible view of beach and is just a few steps to water and fantastic beach-walking. This is a great place to stay and get away from tourist crowd, but only be 1/2 hour from Waikiki. All the amenities of home, in a gorgeous Hawaiian setting.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family loved our stay...the privacy of the beach in front was so wonderful....the beach I think was one of the best if not the best we explored on the island.....the water was wow...the first week it was super smooth...even for children...the second week a little more windy but we still enjoyed the beach every morning. The best swimming was morning till noon...though we still jumped in late afternoon. The house was comfortable, clean and cool even on the hottest day with everything we needed for our fantastic family suppers. We would go back in a minute!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Dear Sherry, Thank you again, we truly enjoyed our stay in Hawaii. Your home worked out very well for our family, it could not have been better. The outdoor area, and the gated front was perfect place for the little ones to play. The beach, the waves, the weather was relaxing. I am happy we found your home! Thank you again from " R Family". To say thet the house and location is perfect does not do it justice. My family (parents, wife, 2 teenage daughters, sister and her husband) spent 10 incredible days on Oahu staying here in Waimanalo. The house held everyone with plenty of room, the sunrise every morning was unbelievable, and the beach is undescribeable. Only 15-20 minutes from Honolulu and the "tourist" area, but a world apart. You will not be disappointed in this house. We are already talking about our next visit, and we will stay here again. Mahalo.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

Paradise! My husband, son/wife/14-yr. old and 17-yr. old granddaughters, daughter/husband and I stayed here for 9 days and it was wonderful. Having a house is the best way to take a family vacation. This house was just perfect for us. We made a list of places to see or things we wanted to do, did them, and then were able to return to the peace and quiet of the Waimanalo house. Loved the beach and water. Several local eateries nearby. Grocery store is neat and very clean. Military, active or retired, have access to Kaneohe which is about 20 minutes away. We had looked forward to this trip for 6 months and it was all that we hoped it would be.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/4

This was our second stay at this beach house with extended family. It's the perfect location. Everyone in a group can choose whether to veg out on the beach or in the house or yard OR go to all the Oahu tourist sites or activities in reasonable time and distance. All this, WITHOUT fighting Honolulu/Waikiki traffic every time you go somewhere. The quiet, secure neighborhood is good for kids and grandparents.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed at the Waimanalo beach house for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing!! The location was majestic and beautiful and the house was just steps from the beach. The house is lovely wood and brick which gives the house that special homey country feeling. All the amenities you need are there including so many small touches in the kitchen that made our stay that much easier. The decor was perfect to give you that island feeling without going overboard. The linens and bedding were comfy and stylish. There were only two of us, but a large family would fit there with plenty of space. We would recommend this beach house to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time in a beautiful environment!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3
