This house, sitting high on a sand dune, boast one of the highest elevations on the resort, giving "peak a boo" ocean views from the front and golf course views from the back. The Pelican Bay neighborhood, with its own pool, is less than a five-minute walk to the water's edge. This neiborhood is known for it's nice quiet wide streets (unlike so many neighborhoods in Wild Dunes) Most importantly, the beach located close to the house is a wide beach, both at low tide AND high tide!
When asked to describe the house, the interior designer had these adjectives to say - fun, funky, upscale, nautical, retro, bright, beachy, and comfortable. Wow! Where do we start?
Built in the traditional beach style, a flight of stairs takes you to the lower-level porch. This is where the kids will go to escape the adults, who will surely have commandeered the upstairs porch. The front door opens to the lower-level bedrooms. The master has a King-size bed, with a luxurious feather bed, a private bath, and opens to the screened rear porch with golf course views. The other two downstairs rooms are also furnished with queen-size feather beds and share a bath. One of these bedrooms opens to the rear-screened porch.
Taking the stairs to the upper level, you are immediately struck by the windows, the light, and all the fantastic views. The open living area features a dining table for eight, a seating area for TV viewing (with a queen-size sleeper sofa), a game table, and a reading nook. The darling kitchen, with its nautical red countertops, comes complete with everything needed by the chef, whether you are feeding your family or entertaining friends. A bedroom with two twin feather beds and a full bath complete the upper level. Except for the porch.
The high, airy porch gives you a bird's eye view of Wild Dunes. This is why you will want an early wake up to enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the ocean. By night the sounds of waves crashing on the shore soothe even the most frayed of nerves. This large, screened porch features a wicker pub table with four chairs and a comfortable lounging area with wicker loveseat and rockers. It will be hard to leave this wonderful space!
We have tried to provide everything we could think of, including a Wild Dunes sportscard so that you could take advantage of everything this resort(which was named among the top 100 family Resorts) has to offer. We even offer Broadband web access for those people that don't want to feel too "out of touch".

We have stayed once a year for the past 5 yrs. and love this house for our whole family. Right a cross from the beach plus a great cul de sac for the kids to play in. Our dog loves the pet friendly atmosphere. We love to cook and take advantage of the great kitchen and local seafood often, but sometimes mamma wants to go out! Nights out on the town are made memorable with the numerous, world class restaurants found just 25 minutes away in downtown Charleston.

Very nice house with plenty of room extended family. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning to read a book or listen to the ocean. Short walk to the pool and beach. Golf cart was fun and convenient. Kitchen had everything needed to cook a big meal. Very comfortable bedding. Would rent again!

WE RENTED THIS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE HOME THE FIST WEEK IN MARCH! IT WAS VERY CHILLY THAT WEEK AND IT WAS SO NICE TO BE ABLE TO RETURN TO THIS BEAUTIFUL AND COZY HOME AFTER A COLD WALK ON THE BEACH! This is our fourth year in a row to stay at this beautiful beachhouse for a week. The owners have thought of everything to make this home feel comfortable and inviting. It is beautifully decorated and maintained. There is plenty of room to stretch out and do multiple activities at once: cooking, watching tv, sitting with a book or just listening to the quiet of the waves on the beach. Great quiet residential neighborhood with a private pool and a very short walk to the beach and Pavillion.

We just returned from a week at Pelican Reach at this lovely house. The beach is magnificent, the location is quiet, with room for kids to ride bikes, sit on the large screened porch with ocean breezes, or play games at their own game table. With the sports card all camp activites can be accessed. Our grand daughter had the best time making crafts at the Pavillion and taking an eco tour for half a day. For the older children there are many sports and at night music at the Pavillion. They might even win a Shag contest!! If I sound biased it is because I am. We own this house and it is our familily's favorite place to go. It serves a multi-generational family well. Hope you enjoy it and will come back again.

We Have just arrived back in the uk and ahve had a lovely stay in your home.We came out to my nieces Wedding she was married at the Citadel on Palm Boulevard which was amazing. We have fallen in love with South Carolina and hopefully plan to move with in the next 5 years as there is so much to see and do and the people of Charleston are so plaesant and welcoming. Stayed here last week of May 2006. This is our 2nd trip to Wild Dunes this year. This is a great home. We loved everything about this house. It was very comfortable, never felt crowded and in a good location. This home was beautifully decorated and had a short walk to the beach. My granddaughter dropped by for a short visit and was pleasantly surprized to find beach toys to use, bikes and even pleanty of beach towels. Everything was thought of to make your stay pleasurable. We plan on renting this home in the future and visiting other rentals through Beth. Thankx for a relaxing vacation. Joni & Gary

Beth: In our everyday lives, many of us have had the good fortune of aquiring a nice home. We've collected quality furnishings and are surrouded by pretty things. Then we rent a beach house only to find inferior furnishings, drab & tasteless decorating and end up spending a week in a dull uncomfortable environment! NOT SO WITH YOUR HOME. The quality of your furnishings,window treatments and lighting were throughly enjoyed by us. The decorating was fabulous! You can tell you are a professional. The weather didn'tcooperate the weekof our stay. All the more reason to need the happy surroundings of your cottage for refuge. We enjoyed cold walks on the beach and our daily trips to Charleston. Jestine's is a must for good ol'home cooking. We would highly recommend Oceansong cafe & pub right on the island. We were welcomed by its owner and singer, Carroll Brown, like we were old friends.
