This is a charming, three-story home with a spectacular view from all three levels. It sits high above Lake Almanor and the front garden area includes a view of Mount Lassen to the west. If you are looking for a place to relax and if watching the sun set as you relax on the spacious deck (it goes almost all the way around the house) is appealing to you, then you have found the right place. The house has two separate living areas, both with views. The location is near the end of a quiet street. At the end of the street is the start of a trail on which you can walk for miles with a continuation of the view across Lake Almanor toward Mount Lassen.
The house itself has four bedrooms (king, two queens, one set of bunk beds, and a double-size futon). Two of the bedrooms are on the main level with easy access for elders. The second living area can also function as a fifth bedroom if necessary. While it has tall trees around much of it, it also has large grass areas on three sides that are available for your use as well. Over the last few years, both the house (interior and exterior) and grounds have had considerable work done to them so that everything appears almost as if it were new. Even most of the furnishing are either new or nearly new, with knotty-pine furniture in many rooms and decorated with a country charm.
If your interest is water sports, including fishing, skiing, etc, then being in the Lake Almanor Country Club is ideal for you. The beach area and the boat launch area are a short distance away. Both are available for your use. If your interest is golfing, then you can enjoy the club's scenic golf course that includes views across the lake towards both the east and west.
All of the above is inside the gate of the country club, but that is just the beginning as far as things to do are concerned. With Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park as well a national forest nearby, it is sightseeing and hiker's paradise.
We do not rent the house in the Winter months November-March.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Weekly Rate (Saturday to Saturday) .. $1600/week. The 4th of July Week $1,700.
Daily Rate $350 (three-night minimum).
*Spring (Apr, May) & Fall (Sep 9-Nov) Rate 15% less
$600 Security Deposit, refundable. $100 Cleaning Fee.
2007 Country Club Fee of $65 plus $50 per boat
9% rental tax applies to both weekly and daily rental rates.

My family and I have stayed at this home multiple times, returning summer after summer. My only regret is that we haven't been able to take advantage of a winter vacation yet! The house is very roomy - love that rec room/bedroom downstairs! The deck is a great place to sit over a cocktail and watch the gorgeopus sunsets over Lake Almanor. Highly recommend this place!

The owners have done an excellent job making their home very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary cooking utensils (for those of us who like to cook). There are also plenty of towels and linens. The deck has a magnificent view of Lake Almanor and is especially relaxing when it is cocktail or dinner time! It feels like you are a world away while taking in the beauty of the lake and mountains. This home is large - it has 4 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is convenient when trying to get ready for the day at the beach or a day hike! The downstairs bedrooms are right off the living area and share a bathroom, but still are very cozy/comfortable. The extra family room is large and nice and cool in the summer time. It has its own patio to enjoy those spectatular sunsets. The Lake is a hop, skip and a jump (well, maybe a little drive) away. If you don't have a boat, rent one at the Knotty Pine Resort and spend a day on the beautiful blue water. It is so refreshing and fun to be tubing or wakeboarding on this big unoccupied Lake! After a weeks stay at this home, you definitely won't want to leave... you'll miss the smell of the trees, the mountain air and the sunset of a lifetime .

The house is well decorated but still cozy and comfortable, plenty of room to spread out. At night we watched the stars from the deck and had our dinners. Good walking trails without ever driving anywhere but if you want to explore, Lassen and Shasta are close enough drives to do in 1/2 day. This is a perfect place for families, couples, or small groups. The beach is nearby very clean and fun to play in. The house is well stocked with whatever you might imagine you need, washer and dryer on site. If you want a relaxing, comfortable vacation to recharge your batteries this is it!
