Make your next vacation a “Grape Escape” at our Condo at the luxurious Avalon. Located in at 140th St and Ocean Highway just south of the Delaware line near the quiet resorts of Fenwick Is. DE, and the excitement of Ocean City, MD. We pride ourselves on providing a home that is a first class experience for our guests.
A truly enchanting vacation starts here in our deliciously beachy fifth floor condo. We are “oceanblock” -a 90 second walk away from the inviting sands of the Atlantic. Mini golf, restaurants and movie theater are a short walk away. The indoor pool is open 12 months of the year, in case mother nature decides to rain on our parade. You also have a fitness room, hot tub, and sauna for your toasting pleasure. Our "escape" is decorated with comfort and elegance in mind. Rooms are spacious. Floor plan is open. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need - and more!
Two king bedrooms - each with private baths makes our home perfect for families to share and enjoy vacations together. The third gigantic room sports two queen beds with room to spare.An convenient third bathroom via pocket door. Enjoy views of the ocean from the large balcony adjoining the living room and first master. Enjoy the roof top terrace for sunrise - or sunset views.
We love to pamper our guests so, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed in our spacious 2000 sq ft Grape Escape the perfect place to enjoy the beach with family and friends. Styled to be not only most pleasing to the eye but ultra comfortable! At Grape Escapes everything says B E A C H! The living area is bright and cheery. The living/ dining area is a perfect spot to relax with your beach mates. The chef is even in the action in this open floor plan. The living room hosts ample seating focused around the fireplace and television area. Our dining room hosts a farm style table that seats up to eight with additional seating for 4 at the bar The balcony is spacious and provides a view of the cityscape below, or the ocean with a turn of the head.
Our first master bedroom, the Captain’s Suite, is luxurious. Ocean dreams are easy in your very comfortable pillow top king-size bed. You can relax in the oversize chair to watch the flat screen wall hung TV or which also provides extra sleeping space (twin). The balcony gives you a view of the stars. After hours, relax in the huge master bathroom with jacuzzi-style tub to add a romantic spa-like experience to your vacation.
We know families like to vacation together. We’ve planned so no one will feel second rate at our escape when they sail away to our second master bedroom the First Mate’s Suite. The sailing motif enhances another very comfortable plush king-size bed and has a coordinated private full bath. The third bedroom, our Purser’s Suite, is large enough to accommodate two queen beds with space to spare. This tranquil room has access to a third bathroom via a pocket door for privacy at night. TV’s in all bedrooms.
Our kitchen is fully equipped to delight any chef. We’ve thoughtfully provided just about every kitchen essential you can think of to make food preparation a snap, from spices to waffle iron, electric skillet and salad spinner. A Forman grill takes care of those barbeque yearnings a condo dweller might have. Bake ware, large serving items, attractive table settings help make meal prep away from home easy and enjoyable.
Sun yourself or sip evening drinks on the 7th floor roof-top terrace for a spectacular view of the ocean. Elevator access. Wide hallways and huge rooms makes our condo wheel chair welcome.
Nearby beaches include Bethany, Rehoboth, Fenwick, and Ocean City. Fenwick Island State Park is just up the road and you might want to try a day trip via ferry to Cape May or adventure south to Assateague National Park to see the famous wild horses. Shopping becomes a competitive sport at the great tax free DE outlets. Kids of all ages will love the world class boardwalk of O.C. There are restaurants for every taste and budget close by, as are adventure of every sort - miniature golf, water parks, kayaking, boating, fishing, and biking. Golfing at the shore is first class. Enjoy discount rates at nearby Bayside Resort as guests with our membership. There is something for everyone here and more to do than you have time to do it all! Ocean City is a happening place – year round.
What other extra’s do we provide to make your vacation stress free? Hairdryers in all bathrooms, a storage locker on the second level with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys and now even a cart to get them over the dunes. . Of course there is a full laundry and free wireless internet access. Two covered designated parking spaces help you avoid the hassles of parking – as does the OC bus that runs the whole 10 miles strip of the most exciting beaches on the middle Atlantic shore. A selection of family games, and books are available.
We love children so we provide a porta-crib, booster seat, and tray/ booster to assist in traveling with the smallest of beach- combers. Our condo comfortably sleeps 8 in beds and two on a sleeper sofa, one sleeper chair. Applicants MUST be over 25. Senior Week and youth groups need NOT apply – NO exceptions. Weekly rentals, Saturday to Saturday from June thru mid September. Three day minimums for holidays. Linens included. To keep our home allergy free pets NOT allowed at any time. Smoking strictly prohibited. Our early noon check –in gives your extra sun and surf time. Special accommodations in off season. Golfers welcome.

We have four beautiful vacation homes in the Coastal Delaware and North Ocean City area. We began our Grape Escapes vacation home adventure quite by accident after vacationing at the shore for many years. We are always seeking to provide our guests with the very best vacation experiences - and like to say we treat you like family. Why? Because we design our homes, and provide customer service in the same way we would like to be treated if we were the guest. Lots of people ask where the name "Grape Escapes" came from, since we offer beach vacations and not vineyard tours! I love purples, mauves and lavender- and began decorating around those colors - because we didn't want our home to look like every other blue and yellow beach place on the block. We are unique and think you will enjoy our unique 'grape escapes"! Who else would have a periwinkle living room!

Our stay at Grape Escapes was wonderful! The entire condo was spacious and had everything we needed for a fun family vacation. We have been going to Ocean City for ten years now and it was far and away the best place we stayed!!!! It was perfect and we look forward to staying there again next year.

On behalf of my seven friends who stayed at Grape Escapes I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. We all get together every spring and fall and as hard as it is to get eight women to agree on anything this is the first time in over 10 years we have all agreed to come back again in April and stay! It was everything the listing described. It was spotless, roomy and conveniently located for our needs. Working with the owner couldn't have been more pleasant. The condo was so clean and well stocked...we enjoyed any meals we ate in on those lovely blue plates, etc., and we liked the location ... near the new Harris Teeter grocery as well as some of our favorite restaurants like Harpoon Hannah's and the good old House of Welsh. The heated pool and Jacuzzi for two of us was wonderful while two more enjoyed the very short walk to the beach and then beachcombing.

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo - it was all that we expected and more! We visited with 6 adults and four children under age 4, and there was plenty of room for all. Everyone remarked on the unusal amenities - plenty of kitchen supplies, booster seats, a pack and play for the kids, and all of the comforts of home. Kathleen was a great hostess and very responsive to any question.We wil surely stay here again upon our next visit to Ocean CIty.

We have enjoyed many years at this beautiful condo. The pictures are true to life. Everything is well kept and clean and the owners are always available if there should be any questions or concerns. I recommend this property highly to anyone interested in having a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We have enjoyed many restaurants over the years and some are even within walking distance. And if you should be too tired to walk or drive there are buses running every five minutes at a very reasonable fare. I honestly can't say enough about it!

For anyone considering this condo: look no further! My family and I have spent many summers vacationing in Ocean City, MD and can attest to the comfort, cleanliness, and convience of this particular condo! Linens and towels were provided as well as everything you need for the beach; chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys for children (not to mention the cart to get them to the beach)! Traveling with children can put a dent in the space you have in your vehicle so this was a huge space saver for my family! Cooking in the kitchen is like cooking in your own home! There is not a single utensil or appliance that you could need that is not provided. The indoor pool turned out to be fantastic. As I mentioned, my husband and I have a 15 month old daughter who loved the ocean, but given the high temperatures and extreme humidity needed a break from the heat during the afternoon! The pool was just what we needed! You didn't have to worry about applying more sunscreen or the fact that she won't keep a hat on her head! I could go on, in great detail, as to the many positives of this condo; but I will make a long story short....out the number of condo's we have stayed in we could always find something missing. This one lacks nothing! The owners have gone above and beyond to make sure their place feels like 'home' for the duration of your stay! Thank you, Kathleen, for extending your 'home' to us! It was a great vacation and a pleasure dealing with you!

The home is Beautiful, very comfortable and in a great location. This is the largest 3 bedroom we've stayed in Ocean City. The owners take great pride in the home and make sure it's stocked with any little thing you may need. The rooms are spacious and the unit is very close to the beach. We have stayed at this property on four separate occasions - both in and out of season and have enjoyed it thoroughly each time. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The unit is thoughtfully and thoroughly well appointed. The owners have thought of everything and are a pleasure to work with. The on site indoor pool, fitness center and spa are a real plus. The building is located at the quiet end of Ocean City but an easy drive or bus ride gets you to the boardwalk attractions. This is a great place for a weekend or week long getaway.

My sister and I and four friends met at this wonderful condo and proceeded to have a wonderful three night stay. It was just a very comfortable, most enjoyable get together, made more memorable by the layout and decor of Avalon. The weather was perfect and warm, but even if it had rained all three days, we could have enjoyed just staying in this true" home away from home." The heated indoor pool and hot tub on the second floor of the building were among the reasons we chose Avalon, in addition to its three large bedrooms with no bunk beds, its proximity to the ocean for long beach walks, and the relatively short driving distance to the Outlet shopping area. However, the condo itself was so clean, beautiful, spacious, and well supplied with all desired amenities, including games and DVD's, gas fireplace, Internet, cable,and so much more, that my whole group is hoping to return for another luxurious stay! We would most heartily recommend this place.
