Our family cottage is nestled in the East Kootenay Valley under the watchful eye of the Purcell Mountain Range and wrapped by the Columbia River. Renowned for its warmth and comfort, the cabin is an ideal place for couples or a family to curl up and enjoy a relaxed get-away in front of the fire or as a home base for an action packed vacation.
The cabin is equipped with a complete set of appliances and amenities to make your vacation easy and worry free. Fairmont is ideally positioned in the valley making it an ideal destination for year round sporting activities. The Jewell family built this cabin in 1976 as a family retreat. In 2000 the Jewell family started renting the cabin to family friends and others.
Why the Owner Chose Fairmont Hot Springs
Fairmont Hot Springs was a family destination for camping during the May and September long weekends since the early '60s. When the oppotunity arose to purchase property in 1976 as the Mountainside Golf Course was being built, Bob and Doris Jewell jumped at the idea of family retreat that wasn't in a tent.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Fairmont area is truly beautiful in all four seasons. From a cabin that provides all the necessities, one has access to many choices for both summer and winter activities. Lots of golf courses, hiking, fishing, downhill or cross country ski/boarding areas. The Fairmont Hot Springs Pools are great at any time of the year.
