Bayberry Cove is the perfect Chesapeake Bay private retreat for a family vacation or a group of friends and kids to get away from it all.
It is a 5 bedroom (4 bedrooms downstairs and a large sleeping loft bedroom with full bath upstairs) vacation home with large wrap around decks, a 16' x 28' swimming Pool, a large hot-tub, pool area safety gates, and an electronic safety pool cover to insure children and pets don't wander into the pool accidentally. There are Four Full Bathrooms. Pets are welcome.
Bayberry Cove offers Eleven (11.6) acres of private waterfront property nestled along a private creek on the east side of the property (1200 feet of shoreline) running North to South with the south side of the property facing Fishing creek (400 feet of shoreline). The private beach faces the south side running east and west.
The house is just 100 feet from the water's edge. Most of the property lies alongside a private protected creek (2 to 4 feet deep) which is a tributary of Fishing Creek which is a tributary to the Little Choptank River. The private beach area is approx 50 yards long and lies directly on Fishing Creek. Fishing Creek is 12 feet deep at its center. We offer a pier with two boat slips on this protected private creek. Boats that draw less than 3 feet can be parked at the pier and will have no problem getting in and out of the creek except during low tide.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the Little Choptank River & Fishing Creek from our expansive deck and enjoy the massaging jets in our therapeutic spa year round. Peace and quiet are abundant on this property, most of all.
When you are done swimming in the pool, you can take an outdoor shower and wash the chlorine off your body with hot and cold running water in the outdoor private shower stall before drying off and going in the house.
At night, you can enjoy sitting in the hot tub with a refreshing beverage while you view the brilliant stars and milky way galaxy. There is no light pollution surrounding this property.
Fish and crab from our pier or in the creek and river. We provide One Ten Foot Walker Bay Sailing Dinghy with a 14 foot sail and two Kayaks for use at your own risk: one tandem and one single user kayak. The Dinghy has oars, a rudder, and keel and can be mounted with an outboard motor - bring your own 2 or 3 horsepower motor if you wish. Reminder: These items have no rental value or cost or guarantee and are for use at your own risk.
Sleeping arrangements: Four bedrooms have queen beds that sleep two people each or eight total. The fifth bedroom has two bunk beds to sleep four. The living room's couch folds out to a queen bed. There is one roll-away bed that can be put in one of the larger bedrooms or in the living room or loft. (Fifteen people at max can sleep in beds)
We include:
* all pillows, towels, pool towels, and blankets/comforters. (YOU BRING LINENS (4xQueen and 4xTwin Sets) WE DO NOT PROVIDE LINENS!
* fully stocked (utensils, plates, dishes, glasses;etc) kitchen with propane stove, large butcher block countertops
* two propane grills and charcoal smoker grill.
* two coffee makers.
* electric turkey roaster, microwave, and toaster.
* blender for making frozen drinks.
* utility room with washer and dryer.
* vacuum cleaner and a rug steam cleaner.
We do not allow Weddings/Large Parties: Our vacation home is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and we like to keep it that way. The nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away but nevertheless, we do not allow large parties, weddings, wedding receptions, or large family reunions. We like to limit the amount of people to 15 on the property at maximum. Please call us to discuss.

Highly Recommend this property. Four couples away from kids, having a great time. Great time in the hot tub and pool. The guys enjoyed fishing out on the dock. The weather was perfect and so was the house. We loved it! and I am very picky. The owner called to make sure everything was ok, I have never gotten that personal touch when staying at a property. Everything from the information that was given prior to the visit, strait through to the end, everything went smoothly. Thank you Scott and Karen and I hope for many more years of visiting your home. Oh also I loved how the bed rooms are spaced apart nicely, each couple had their own privacy!!! I needed to add that because that is hard to find.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My sister arranged a weekend at Bayberry Cove for a family weekend and it was wonderful! This time we were in Cambridge in winter, for a family Christmas reunion, but we will definitely be back in the summer when we can take advantage of the great location for fishing and crabbing. We loved the home, and found it to be not only very comfortable, and well equipped but very nicely decorated and so, so sunny! I can't say enough nice things about the house and the owners couldn't have been more gracious. Truly a 5 star experience!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

We just returned from a 3 day weekend at Bayberry Cove and couldn't have been happier with the home. It is extremely well equipped, with everything that you can think of. The house is warm and sunny, with a gorgeous view. It is large enough that even though we were 14 people, there was plenty of room to spread out. The hot tub was FANTASTIC! Our family had a wonderful time, and it was easy for my 91 year old mom to get around it. Thank you again Karen and Scott for a really wonderful time at your lovely home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

This was a wonderful place to host a weekend getaway. Convenient for my guests traveling from Baltimore, DC, and Philadelphia. There was plenty of room in the living room to lounge around, play board games, (the wii we brought) and sit by the wood stove. The kitchen and dining room allowed for all guests to dine and cook together. No need to wait until summer to rent this beautiful house. Even with snow on the ground we had a great time. Walked down to the beach and could hear the ice cracking and snapping as waves lapped against it. It was enchanting for city slickers to see so many stars at night while reclining in the hot tub.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family of 11 had a great week here. We used the pool, caught crabs off the dock and used the kayaks every day. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen which was nicely equipped. Our dogs enjoyed the property and spent the week swimming and sitting on the dock. We made daily trips to the local produce stand which we all loved. We will rent this beautiful home again. Our family gathered at this lovely property to celebrate my brother's December birthday. We came in between snow storms, welcomed personally by the owner with a phone call (who also directed one of our guests to the property). He had even left us a beautiful poinsettia to enjoy as well. The property is a gem .... quiet, full of amenities, well-maintained and most comfortable. It felt like home! Several members of our group enjoyed a trip to nearby Blackwater Natural Wildlife Refuge, but there were plenty of migrating birds to observe from the deck. The hot tub was a special delight! Wonderful experience for 5 nights and days for all 8 of us (two were youngsters aged 1 1/2 and 2 1/2). We used the pool every day and actually caught and ate some crabs. The pool was perfect because of its accessibility and because that access could be contrlled by the adults. Each bedroom was more than spacious. I would recommend that the owners include a picture of the pool and deck from the back of the property to give it justice.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

We had a wonderful vacation at Bayberry Cove during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Thankfully, the pool was welcoming, refreshing, and provided endless hours of entertainment..and comfort. This house suited our needs perfectly - a multi-generational family celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. There was more than enough room for everyone (we had 8 in our party and could have slept another 4 easily) - and you never felt like you were on top of one another. We loved eating on the decks, crabbing off the dock, and enjoying the house and all it offered. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to relax, enjoy your family, and have fun. We happen to be there for the 4th of July - and were able to enjoy fireworks from the backyard while we toasted marshmellows - at least 3 different displays! It was a great vacation and the owners were wonderful to work with. You won't be disappointed at Bayberry Cove - I've already recommended it to several people!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

Bayberry Cove is a wonderful place for a family retreat. The house accommodated the 12 of us very comfortably. The many available activities made for fun times for both the young and adult kids. The pool, hot tub, waterside dock, and fire pit were used often. The house is well equipped with room for getting together and for quiet time when needed. In general a very fun place.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
