Enclosed please find the keys to Moose Creek Lodge. Sorry for the delay in returning the keys. Life happens, I guess. We had such a great time in October at the lodge. The location was perfect. The sounds of the creek lulled us to sleep so many nights--it was great. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thanks!! Paul and Helen Stellricht

You have a little piece of heaven here on earth!! It was so quiet there we all slept so well, we hated to leave. The view from the porch is so wonderful. We will go there again if possible this year. Homeowner Response:
May God be with your brother, you and the rest of your family! Moose Creek Lodge is a very special place for us as well. We chose this cabin after years of visits to the mountains, knowing what we would like in a vacation home in the mountains. I'm very happy that your family was able to find peace in our cabin. Take care and God bless! Marlene

Dear Mari, We have had the BEST time with you, at both of your cabins. Brittany thinks that Carolina Nights was AWESOME!!!!! She can't decide where she had the best time. Kelly said that she had a lot of un in the hot tub with the bubbles. And she really liked seeing the Elk. She thought it was cool when the one elk was right next to the car. She really enjoyed being here with you and Jorge, we all did. Thank you SOOOOOOO much for the wonderful time. Britt said you showed us many exciting things. I want to plan for a family vacation next summer, including you and Jorge as part of our family. So, we will have to chat and make plans to reserve a week at Moose Creek Lodge for a week next July. We love you and can't wait to see you again!!! Carol, Laura, Aunt Jean, Brittany and Kelly

Dear Marlene, Our weekend in Maggie Valley was great! This was our second time here at Moose Creek Lodge. So we went back to some of our favorite spots and discovered some new ones. One thing that we really enjoyed was our trip to Dillsboro to ride the train to Bryson City. The ride was fun, especially with the open windows and nice breeze. Bryson City was a nice old fashioned little town--almost reminiscent of the 50's or the town from Back To The Future. We especially recommend Pop's Soda Shop. It was great! Another new sight was the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville. It was 8000 acres, and quite an expensive house...if you can even call it that. It has 250 rooms. However, it's a very thorough tour and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small children or really under 12ish. We also went tubing again in Cherokee, and my sister and I were glad that after a year of pondering, we finally learned (rafting boy's name). We're teenagers, so it's ok. :) Rafting, itself, was fun, too, and we recommend it to anyone, even young families. We also did more hiking this year, once hiking upward all the way to Sky Drive in search of a good view/photo spot (there wasn't one :() My sister and I also hiked to the waterfall near the playset, and it was pretty. Also slippery. It was an adventure. All in all, it was very beautiful and a great week! Thanks so much! God Bless! The Herrings, St. Louis, MO and Pittsburgh, PA

Marlene, Thank you so much for letting us use your home, it's been a blast! Every year, my family gets to hang out for a week. We especially love the mountains. This was the perfect place to spend the week. It's remote enough to be quiet, yet in the middle of several "tourist" spots to keep us busy. We love the creek out front. It's just so relaxing sitting out on the front porch on the swing or in the hot tub. This house is in the perfect spot. I really like this comment book based on what we read in here, we went in search of elk. We made a small mistake and went to Cataloochee Ranch which was at the top of the "hill" next to Ghost Town. It was beautiful at the top but not a place for elk. Luckily the people who worked there gave us a map which we will leave here for future use, that led us to the right spot period. Wow, was that a twisting winding long drive, but totally worth it. Thanks again for letting us stay. Dear Marlene & Jorge, The weather was just perfect! We didn't see much wildlife--just the wild turkeys at the Elk compound--no Elk though. Thank you for sharing your home. The shortcut down Huckleberry is definitely a plus! (to SR 19) We had many hummingbirds--lots of pictures! Maggie Valley Restaurant was especially tasty! We had an orphan Lab-mixed doggie that we adopted while we were here. We fed and watered her and left the extra food. Hopefully she will regain her strength. Our own Labrador--Ebony (a 14 year old) did great. The hot tub was pure heaven! By the way, the Ebbers was totally at home here. We had the windows open all the time--the creek's rushing was so peaceful. Gregg and I got to play the guitar and flute (He's the guitar :)) Well, all in all, we had a great time and love NC. Sincerely, Gregg and Melissa Lewis Springboro, OH
