We loved our stay at this property. The creek is wonderful as is the playroom and yard. The cabin is very pet and kid friendly! The only issue I would mention is the lack of the advertised pack n play - maybe a previous guest took it by mistake? The drive up to Smoky Falls is beautiful - the area is just a delight. We had an unfortunate loss of one of our dogs and found the neighbors to be more than accommodating! Luckily, we did find the dog but got our vehicle stuck in the process. Three different neighbors responded and were able to pull our vehicle out without a problem. They were happy to assist us in this stressful time. We found Marlene very easy to work with.

Marlene, I mailed the key back on Monday, July 9th. Hopefully, you received it by Friday or Saturday. I ensured everything was done prior to leaving. We had a wonderful time, our grandson loved playing in the creek. Our sister-in-law also loved playing in the creek!! Maggie Valley had a spectacular fireworks on the 4th. The temperature was so pleasant -69 degrees during the day on the porch and about 59 degrees in the nights. We slept with our windows open and the creek running sounded like rain. When it did rain, the rain on the room was so soothing. We loved the big porch, swing and rustic rockers. Thanks for sharing your home with us!! For anyone seeking a restful and relaxing time from the rat race, this is the place!!! Thanks!!

Marlene, we had a fantastic time, everything was exactly as advertised. Everyone had a great time. All of my grandchildren we never bored and are now saving their money for next year and want to come back here. For myself, I could have stayed right on the porch and listened to the creek and look out into the woods. We traveled everywhere and had many good adventures. All the adults also had a great time, althought not wading in the creek but all the different the different places to visit and learn about the areas people and land. We will be getting back in touch with you during the spring for another reservation. Sam and Ann Thonen, Floridians.

Owner response: Dear Sam and Ann, I'm glad you all had a great time at the cabin and the surrounding areas. It sounds like you did exactly what you wanted to and that your grandchildren really enjoyed themselves! That's what we like to hear! Blessings, Marlene
Hi Marlene, it's Mary Ellen & Larry. We are leaving today on Larry's birthday. Our kids could not make it up, but my sister, Carol and her husband enjoyed our trip. The four of us had a wonderful time. We went to Maggie Valley Pizza, Waynesville shopping, Dillsboro on the train to Bryson. We ate here and used grill, had a great time watching the hummingbirds and filled them both up again. My sister sat in your creek and got tons of pictures. The maintenance man came while we were gone and put stuff down and fixed the faucet and all went well. We had a fire and made pies on it, my brother-in-law is a good cook. No kids so did not go in playroom at all. Thanks again, & we hope to return if my health holds up. My sister loved it here too! Talk soon! Mary Ellen and Larry B. & Yes, it's God's country up here. So beautiful and relaxing with the creek.

Enclosed please find the keys to Moose Creek Lodge. Sorry for the delay in returning the keys. Life happens, I guess. We had such a great time in October at the lodge. The location was perfect. The sounds of the creek lulled us to sleep so many nights--it was great. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thanks!! Paul and Helen Stellricht

Marlene, I have misplaced your address so that's why I'm writing you here, I need to send you the key back and would appreciate getting your address so that I can. We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was nice weather. We ventured to Piegon Forge and ate dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant. I highly recommnend this restaurant it was fabulous. I know it's a bit of a ride but well worth it. We did not get to go to Ghost Town because we were having so much fun especially in the hot tub. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation. Shirley Roberts

Owner response: May God be with your brother, you and the rest of your family! Moose Creek Lodge is a very special place for us as well. We chose this cabin after years of visits to the mountains, knowing what we would like in a vacation home in the mountains. I'm very happy that your family was able to find peace in our cabin. Take care and God bless! Marlene
Dear Marlene, This was our first trip to Moose Creek Lodge and our very first family vacation. My sister and brother in-law came in from Mississippi, my brother from South Carolina, me and my parents from South Carolina and of course Duncan our 5 year old Westie. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. We had the most wonderful time ever. We got in the hot tub and my sister in-law says she laughed so much her ribs hurt! It wa so relaxing, peaceful and serene. We had a rainy day on Sunday but we stayed in the Lodge and watched some old movies and drank coffee. It was nice having everything right there. We had a nice cook put on Friday night and went to J. Arthur's for dinner on Saturday night. My family wants to reserve the Lodge again for next year except this time we want to come in the summertime so we can get out and explore the creeks and waterfalls closely. Thank you again for your hospitality. It was GREAT! Shirley, Mom, Dad, Danny, Debbie, Judy, Barry and Duncan. PS Duncan says "thank you for letting me come with my family I had a great time."

Dear Mari, We have had the BEST time with you, at both of your cabins. Brittany thinks that Carolina Nights was AWESOME!!!!! She can't decide where she had the best time. Kelly said that she had a lot of un in the hot tub with the bubbles. And she really liked seeing the Elk. She thought it was cool when the one elk was right next to the car. She really enjoyed being here with you and Jorge, we all did. Thank you SOOOOOOO much for the wonderful time. Britt said you showed us many exciting things. I want to plan for a family vacation next summer, including you and Jorge as part of our family. So, we will have to chat and make plans to reserve a week at Moose Creek Lodge for a week next July. We love you and can't wait to see you again!!! Carol, Laura, Aunt Jean, Brittany and Kelly
