This 18th-19th century farmstead is mentioned in Woodstock history books, and sits on a winding, nearly private road that dead-ends into terrific hiking trails. Guests fall in love with its country charm and grand feel. Turned into an Inn in the 19th century, the house can’t help but be accommodating.

4 bedrooms furnished with antiques and luxurious/vintage linens, a cozy sitting room upstairs full of books and games, not one but two staircases, and a great big bathroom. Downstairs includes the living room (warmed by a toasty Rumford stone fireplace), spacious dining room with parlor windows; country sit-down kitchen with new appliances (but user-friendly vintage stove!). There's a rockingchair porch and a screened-in porch—perfect for morning coffee. The spring-fed tap water is absolutely delicious.

Explore 24 acres of lawns, gardens, woods and fields. Read a book nestled in a hammock under the pines, hike old farmland and forest trails. A magical, year-round stream crosses the backyard, with plenty of places to take a refreshing dip. Nothing like being lulled to sleep by the sound of rushing water.

This house is ideal for singles, couples, or small families. Well behaved dogs welcome (discuss in advance). No smoking. Sorry, it's an old house, so no large parties.
