Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from this comfortable home, with panoramic views across Ninigret Pond, to the barrier beach and beyond to Block Island. Rental includes access to Charlestown Town beaches (by car about three miles) and access to the secluded East Beach (by boat one mile up the pond), a breath-taking, virtually untouched stretch of sea shore unique to the area.

The home is gracefully furnished, and provides quiet and privacy. Wildlife spotting, particularly birds, in your pajamas, yet close to Westerly, Watch Hill and Wakefield for shopping, dining (Olympia Tea Room!!), movies and other entertainments. Adjacent to the Ocean House for boat rentals, fishing gear.

We sleep eight in 4 bedrooms, 12 when you add the sofa-beds. Not a party place, but great for a getaway. Off-season rentals are great for the artist/writer/musician.

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1965

We are a family of three brothers and their children and grandchildren who all consider Charlestown our home. We love the pond, the ocean and the house itself, and are delighted to share it with interested and responsible renters.

Why the Owner Chose Charlestown

Our family has lived in Charlestown since 1902. This house was built by my father in 1965, and served as his primary residence for many years.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Access to one of the only undeveloped beaches on the east coast and tennis courts through the Arnolda Colony. We have our own dock, and direct access to Ninigret Pond.

The house has fully functional solar hot water, and a 4.1K Photovoltaic Solar array to reduce its power consumption. The three bathrooms have all been renovated, and all kitchen appliances have been upgraded to top tier components, all Energy Star compliant. New plush chairs and sofas have been added to make the house even more comfortable.
