This is a cozy cabin in the middle of the Western Shore close to Homewood. While there was very little snow the cabin offers a hottub, barbecue and a large deck to relax! Always again!! Oliver

Our second time renting this house. Great spot for kids to play in neighborhood. Great location and beach access. Fully stocked kitchen with all essentials for cooking, spacious living room and bedrooms, bunk beds a plus for kids, nice hot tub and fireplace on deck was a bonus this time around staying there. Very convenient working direct with owner. Very reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back again.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is an older cabin in a nice setting on the West Shore. We liked the access to the Chambers Landing Beach club, nearby hikes and biking, and being able to watch a DVD in the master bedroom. However, it needs better maintenance. We could not heat up the hot tub, and our phone call for assistance was never answered. Deck furniture is delapidated. The interior of the house was not clean when we arrived--bad smell, windowsills coated with webs full of dead bugs, cobwebs in many places, moldy coffee grinds in the coffee-maker, no soap in bathrooms. Owner has been notified, so hopefully it's in better shape now.
Owner response:My son is the property manager. I had to have surgery and he came to take care of me during the recovery period and was unable to preform the regular tasks. I live in Oceanside, Ca. and the house is in Lake Tahoe. I offer the complaint a 20% discount if they chose to stay there another time to compensate for their dissatisfaction. Sorry for any incinvenience to them. Evelyn Franklin
