The cabin was just as it was described on VRBO. All accommodations were prepared and we were not lacking anything for a great stay. The owners were very accommodating and great to communicate with. . The owners were staying at the place for their own vacation in the days leading up to our arrival so they left the heat on for us so that we could enjoy coming into a warm cabin. We would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful cabin with a spacious floor plan. It accommodated our family of 7 beautifully! There are 3 bedrooms with two beds in each room (the master bedroom has one) and the beds are very comfortable! I must mention the blankets on each bed. The are super soft and we all thought that we were at a 5 star hotel! The only drawback during our stay was that the cable (satellite) TV is only in the master bedroom and it would have been nice to have it in the living room, too. We were there during the Olympics, so our whole family wanted to watch it while crowing onto our master bed. The house was beautifully cleaned and ready for our visit. The owner was available for any questions that arose during our stay. After you book this cabin, you are sent a welcome packet that is filled with clear information and instructions about your stay at the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin to any family that is looking for a vacation in Lake Tahoe!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the nice review. I'm glad you had a good stay. I'm sorry you had a problem with the TV in the living room...there is definitely cable for both TV's, with the same channels available for both. If you stay again, just give me a call with any problems and I will make sure they are fixed.

We spent a week at this house with our kids and our dog and we had a blast. It's right at the edge of the forest which made for great walks through the woods. Close to Heavenly, which made skiing easy. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to be away from it all in the quiet of the woods while still being close to town.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing.

I stayed in this cozy A-frame for a long weekend ski vacation with my kids this winter and enjoyed every minute. This cabin is convenient to both Heavenly (5 mins from the lift) Kirkwood (40 mins) and Sierra (10 mins.) We also went ice skating twice, which was only a five minute drive. We had plenty of room for all six of us, and the cabin has everything we needed to stay comfortable and entertained. The view out the sky lights of the tall pines loaded with fresh powder and sparkling sunlight in the morning was right off a postcard, and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Considering what we might have spent to stay at a motel or hotel, or to rent a condo, this cabin was a great bargain with a nice savings in cooking a few meals at "home" as well. I fell asleep with the wood stove glowing, exhausted and happy, just like you are supposed to feel at the end of a great ski day! Colleen was great to deal with, and I've recommended her place to several friends, but not too many as I'm planning on going back next year and don't want them to take my favorite weeks!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: I live in Aptos, Ca which is my favorite place in the world. Lake Tahoe is a close second. I love both the ocean, and the mountains, and I am lucky enough to be able to spend time in both places. Fixing up my tahoe cabin for the past 12 years has brought me much joy.
Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Paradise:
Tahoe had always been my favorite place to go. For years, every time I drove up, I looked for the perfect place to buy. The minute I found this cabin, I knew it was the one. I could see the spiral staircase when I peaked through the sliding glass doors, and I feel in love. I liked that is was located in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everywhere that I wanted to go.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
My family and I LOVE coming to Tahoe. In the winter, we go skiing at Kirkwood (our favorite), take snowmobiling trips, and my daughter builds sledding hills in the front yard. In the summber, we like to go fishing in the lake, go ice skating at the indoor rink, and hiking in the wilderness that is 2 blocks from the cabin.
