Fully-equipped, 2400 square foot, year-round home on southeast shore of beautiful, 3300-acre Long Lake. The contemporary-styled exterior houses a custom hard-wood trimmed interior which can accommodate large groups comfortably while still retaining its cozy and intimate feel for smaller parties. The house is roomy and flowing upstairs and down. The main, upper level, houses two bedrooms and one and a half baths with a large kitchen and adjoining great-room which open to an enclosed three-season porch and an outdoor deck.
The walk-out downstairs has two bedrooms and is served by a quaint kitchenette with an adjoining family room accented by a stunning floor to ceiling, field-stone fireplace. The oversized downstairs bath is senior friendly with a garden, Jacuzzi tub and a separate, enclosed shower with seating. Step out and head straight to lake.
The home is well placed on a shady, two acre, wooded lot adjacent to an open, grassy, lakefront area with a 25' dock for your water toys. Bring your own or rent your water craft, four-wheelers or snowmobiles nearby. We offer a pontoon rental.
Long Lake is pristine, lightly traveled, and absolutely perfect for fishing, pontooning, water-skiing, jet-skiing, sailing, and swimming. Nearby you will easily find great golf courses and other activities with something for every member of the family.
We respect our neighbors and the environment so this is not the place for wild, loud and inconsiderate groups. A great escape!

This was the perfect spot and I'm lucky that I stayed here. The home was wonderful, clean and cozy yet spacious. It was fun watching the chip monks running around eating acorns. The lake was so much fun. Watching people fishing, just being out on the water was so relaxing. I really enjoyed watching the eagles flying around and coming down to catch a fish or two of their own. I only stayed 4 days but will be coming back with friends and family next year. This is the perfect vacation home. I have traveled all over this country and this was the best vacation ever.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

WOW! What is their not to like about this place. This year will be our 4th year in a row. The house offers everything you could want for all seasons. We have a large group which everyone has their own bed. The fishing has always been good and the water sports are always a blast. Just a short ride to the island where lots of people play. Anyone interested in renting this place, you cannot go wrong. Can't wait to get there!

We fully enjoyed a family get-together here last year and hope to return this next year. The 2 levels give plenty of room to have a little privacy if necessary or plenty of space to be together. Fishing, swimming, tubing, water skiing and just plain loafing were great. We spent a week without TV (altho available) and fully enjoyed it. Long Lake has much to offer.

The first highlight of Shadel Haus was the booking. Kurt and Lisa made it fast and easy without giving up my first born to get information and book their great home. Home it was immediately to a large group of us. The caretaker and the property make you feel instantly at home. With seven children under the age of 11 in tow, the place needed to be sturdy without our walking on eggshells - no damage done. For the more sophisticated travelers among us it needed to be comfortable and include some luxuries - we had it all. Enjoy your stay if you go - great fun on Long Lake! Thanks Kurt and Lisa!

From the moment I walked in to Shadel Haus, I felt totally at home. The layout of the home is superb. There is such a warm and comfortable feeling you get,while the openness and lake views are totally awesome! You feel like you're nestled in the middle of the woods, yet there's the lake, right in front of you. The lake is gorgeous and seems to have minimal boat traffic. I highly recommend this property for a vacation you won't forget. Your only wish will be that you didn't have to go home!!!
