This was the best cabin we have ever stayed in. The view was spectacular. The cabin was very clean and well organized. The directions given got us right to the front door without any problems. We will definately be back again.

Our goal is to have all the comforts of home at our cabin in a relaxing, secluded, peaceful environment. We love getting to know our guests and look forward to having them return throughout the year. Just wanted to say that our family had a blast at the cabin. Our kids took a hike and found the waterfall behind the cabin. wish we could have stayed longer but the real world calls!! we may just make this a tradition after thanksgiving each year, we loved the Great smoky Mountains National Park!! The cabin is beautiful and very clean! wish the hot tub had a little more power in the jets, dont really think they were all working, but very cozy little get away for the weekend!! the Gochee's Unionville, Tn.
Owner response:Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad that you enjoyed the cabin and Smoky Mountains so much. We wish that we would have known that the hot tub jets weren't very strong during your stay. If an issue does arise, we prefer to address it right away so that it does not detract from your vacation at all. Shortly after your visit, we had a hot tub technician come to replace all of the jets and service the entire system. I have been told that the hot tub jets are now twice as strong. Thanks so much again and we look forward to your return visit.

We stayed at Waterfall Retreat March 17 - 21, 2011 for my husbands 30th birthday! It was definitley a trip that 4 best friends needed!! The cabin was a Perfect location for us to do everything we wanted! The roads are a little steep and narrow but it was fun driving them, the upstairs bedroom sounded like little critters were living in the rafters so our friends were awake most of the night, and the hot tub jets weren't very strong but all in all this cabin was everything we were told it was! Very clean, kitchen was great for use, and you can really hear the waterfall from the decks outside!! It is sooo peacefull and very private. We will be coming back for sure!! Thank you Penny and Brad!!!! -The Jones Family & Lanphear Family

Our stay at your cabin was GREAT!!!! Every picture and description of your cabin was very accurate. Your cabin was the most complete cabin we have stayed at. Everything you could have wanted was in your kitchen from coffee pot to flat grill. Your cabinets were stocked with plenty of plates, cups, glasses and silverware. We had a wonderful time and just wanted to say thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful home. P.S. One of the cleanest cabins we have stayed at also.

This place was amazing!!!!! Beautifully decorated like Pottery Barn and just tastefully done. Everything was perfect.... perfect views, perfect feather beds, everything for kids (games, pool table, PS2). I loved the one touch gas fireplace. Hot tub was great, too. We liked being at the end of the road so it felt very secluded. The owner even sent us a surprise cookie tray on my son's b-day/ thanksgiving. it was such a nice surprise!! The owner was always accessible. We asked for early check in and she accommodated that with no problems. We would definitely recommend this cabin, and would love to return!! Very close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There was a waterfall nearby, but too difficult to hike to with young kids the owner said. you could hear it off the back deck. sounded lovely!
Owner response:Thank you so much for writing such nice compliments about our cabin. We really do appreciate your feedback. We strive to be as helpful and accessible as possible. One of the best parts of owning our cabin is all of the wonderful guests (like you) that we get to meet. We have had some guests return for the past 5 years and we love it!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this mountain cabin. Our first rental in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, we were uneasy about the sight unseen, online process. But we shouldn’t have been; the home was exactly as described... fully furnished, immaculately clean and well maintained throughout. Situated in the hills to the east of the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this cabin is far enough away from the beaten path to enjoy the surround sounds of the woods, wildlife and nearby stream/waterfall, yet close enough for quick access to the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains or the shopping, shows, restaurants and entertainment in Pigeon Forge. This cabin defines private… Although there are a few other homes along the road, the cabin is at the very end of the drive. The single closest neighbor is behind and up the hill. From the rocking chairs or the hot tub on the deck, its nothing but nature. The cabin is up in the hills. In a few spots, the roads to/from the cabin are steep, but nothing that most vehicles can’t handle. With any snow/sleet/ice however, the steeper roadways may be a challenge for 2WDs. Bottom Line: No trepidation necessary with this cabin or it’s owners. It’s a beautiful, private and conveniently located get-away. We would whole-heartedly recommend the place to friends or relatives. We look forward to staying here the next time we venture to southeast Tennessee Thanks again Brad and Penny!

Thanks Brad and Penny for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. Parents of small children please note that a pack-and-play and highchair are provided in this cabin. This was a big bonus/convenience for us. Owners were extremely easy to work with. A very positive experience.

I visited this cabin with my wife and another couple. It was a wonderful place, everything was new. The only neigbors faced the front of the property, but the 2 rear decks were totally private and romantic with lots of trees and the sound of the nearby creek. Huge kitchen, comfy living room, loads of fun. The only bad point was a little wasp invasion, but the owners quickly responded when notified. Highly reccomended for two couples. A third couple would lack privacy, but lots of pull outs for kids and teens as well.

Our family of eight celebrated Thanksgiving for four nights at this wonderful mountain cabin. The cabin has gorgeous views, a hot tub, jacuzzis, and comfortable beds. The cabin was furnished with almost everything we needed to cook homestyle holiday dinners. We especially enjoyed the game room and entertainment centers. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this cabin to others.
