This home has everything you could want for a comfortable, enjoyable, and entertaining stay. All the activities are nearby, as well as the summer cultural offerings of Lees-McRae College. Shop in Boone and Blowing Rock, or check out the Mast General Store just 20 minutes away. The Tweetsie Railroad and all the activities of Grandfather Mountain are just a short drive away.
The 2100 square foot cabin is beautifully finished; all pine interior walls and ceilings, with either tile or pine floors. A spacious loft with TV, Foosball, etc., as well as a downstairs living area with vaulted ceiling and gas log fireplace will provide you with many serene moments. If a hike is all you are after, just walk out the door and up "Tom's Knob" for local wildlife viewing, then soak in the hot tub and take in the beautiful mountain views at sunset. Year Purchased: 2005
We are native New Englanders who have settled in our retirement home on a lovely private lake in New Hampshire. Having retired in 2005, we decided we needed a cabin closer to our three children who live in Virginia and Tennessee. We were fortunate to stumble upon this wonderful cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains that had just been built. The three wonderful winters we have spent there have allowed us to enjoy the winter sports in the area and the milder climate. We share our special place in the mountains in the spring, summer and fall. Enjoy!
The Unique Benefits of this Log Cabin
Nature is apparent all around the cabin and since we love the outdoors, this was an ideal location for us. We enjoy bird watching, hiking and just relaxing in the solitude of the mountains. This cabin has given us a perfect opportunity to enjoy all of this.
