We stayed in Cynthia's condo in August for our first ever trip to Maine! It was amazing! It was exactly as described and had a very homey-feel; all of the extras that you'd normally have to bring or buy (laundry detergent, paper towels, even baggies) were there. We were there on a sort of rainy week and were excited to see she even provided movies! Her decorating style was perfect, we really felt at home in her place. We enjoyed walks around York Harbor, to the beach, the York Harbor Inn, and Portsmouth was only a short drive away. The big parking lot was a great place for our boys to run around with their trucks; not being on a busy street made it so the only people driving down harmon were people in the residences there. We loved it and would definitely stay again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

My wife and I (with our new born son) spent a week in August in the condo after finding it on the web. We were somewhat familiar with the area, but as you know, when you reserve something solely by a web description you can often be disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised to find the condo in perfect shape, nicely cared for by the owner, perfect proximity to the harbor/beach, and more inviting than we had imagined. All amenities were provided, the unit was immaculate and perfectly maintained, and the owner could not have been more pleasant and inviting. As it turned out, even the people downstairs could not have been any nicer as well. My wife and I found walks in the area, lobster rolls every night, days at the beach, and evenings on the deck viewing the harbor beyond relaxing. No traffic, quiet nights, cool breezes all made it hard to leave when our week was over. We definitely look forward to visiting York again in the months ahead and would stay/recommend the accommodations to our closest friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family just spent a week at this lovely York Harbor condo. Nice location, many scenic nature walk opportunities, great shopping/dining (need a car), in striking distance to many other nice drives/outings, such as Ogonquit (try Barnacle Billy's in Perkins Cove). The condo itself was just lovely, well maintained and nicely appointed. It felt like home away from home. Nice views of the York River, beautiful stars at night, quintessential Maine. We traveled with young children and they had a blast here. We were within walking distance to a great family beach, as well as several "nature walks." Short drive to many other beaches as well, and the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH (if you're traveling with kids). Great dining/restaurants (would recommend York Harbor Inn, Tom's clams [take out only] and cafe at Stonewall Kitchen [for breakfast or lunch] to name a few) & shopping close by. Do need a car for most restaurants/dining and shopping. Good place to travel to with young kids, for a romantic getaway, or as a base for other sightseeing in the Southern Maine area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This truly wonderful property is carefully personally cared for by the owner each week. It is incredibly clean and quiet, and contains every item one would want in a beach property, from a huge fluffy king size bed and AC in the master bedroom, large living room with large comfortable furniture, nice second bedroom/bath for kids or extra guests well-stocked eat-in kitchen, TV with gamecube, wireless access, brand new washer/dryer/dishwasher, shared yard area with grill, and in the treetops, and a lovely deck with a table and breathtaking view of the river (on which we ate every morning/afternoon, and watched the river activity). Also provided were helpful local info and beach equipment. This condo is set in the middle of a shady, quiet neighborhood. A quick and dazzling riverwalk to the beach takes you past, among other things, a lobster pound, the harbor, and the marina, before ending at the clean and intimate York Harbor beach. We set up on the beach every morning, took the short walk back to the condo for lunch, and then returned to the beach each afternoon (no one ever bothered any of our towels, chairs, etc.) York Harbor is a very old and historic area that is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Long and Short Sands, but a short 3- to 5-minute drive if one wishes to be in the middle of the funpark/zoo/shop/arcade/restaurant/lighthouse/jazz club activity. From this property, one can also head away from the beach on The Fisherman's Walk along the river, cross the Wiggly Bridge (under which kayakers and experienced swimmers ride the tide between the river/bay and ocean), take a short walk through a wooded nature preserve, tour the buildings of Old York (including John Hancock's Wharf), stop off for shopping or meal in York Village, and then end up back at the condo. This condo is a perfect accomodation for couples, small families, or a small group of friends. If one wishes to eat or listen to music locally, it is a quick walk to the nearby York Harbor Inn Restaurant/Tavern or Stage Neck Inn. If we take a Maine vacation next year, we will surely be returning to this well-located, well-care-for, well-stocked, sunny, and relaxing property!!!! It is an excellent value.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family has vacationed for a week in this bright, immaculate, yet comfy, condo for the past five summers. It has a great location in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Harbor Beach as well as the shops and various eateries in York Harbor. The condo is equipped with everything needed for a self-directed family vacation including a Game Cube for our teenage son. We look forward to our annual stay in Cynthia's condo and are really sad to leave it to return home. It is a great value with a five star recommendation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
