BRAND-NEW (2005), penthouse condominium located at spectacular DESTIN WEST BEACH and BAY RESORT. This fabulous, top floor, penthouse unit on the BAY SIDE has stunning views of BOTH pristine Chooctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico from its private, roof-top terrace. You are sure to enjoy your stay in this beautifully decorated unit that boasts designer furnishings and is guaranteed to melt your stress away.
The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with a king-sized bed and entertainment center with a TV and DVD player. The master bath features a garden tub. Our unit has a separate bunk room equipped with two twin beds. There is also a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Ceiling fans in the living room and master bedroom add extra comfort. Our unit has a well-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer.
The beach-to-bay amenities at this resort are unmatched by any other resort in the area. These amenities include an incredible 700-foot LAZY RIVER, three large hot tubs, a 5000-square-foot pool on the gulf side, large heated pool, and kiddie pools. It also has a brand-new, 2500-square-foot, state-of-the-art, fitness center.
Do not forget the fabulous location... the island offers a multitude of activities all within a short walking distance. During the busy times of year, there is a shuttle service available for Okaloosa Island and to Destin. Why the Owner Chose Destin West Beach and Bay Resort
We purchased our condo at Destin West Resort for a couple of reasons. First, the amenities such as the Lazy River and Kiddie Splash Park are truly unique in the area and we just feel in love with them! Second, the location is perfect... you are within walking distance on the beach from the Boardwalk which has several yummy beachfront restaurants, ice-cream shops, volleyball courts, playgrounds in the sand, the areas largest fishing pier. And the beach doesn't get over-crowded by our resort because the resorts are packed on top of one another like other parts of Destin.
Once we decided that Destin West was the resort for us... the penthouse condo was a no-brainer! The views from the top floor blow away the condos on the lower floors. And in addition, it has a spiral staircase on the balcony that leads up to a private rooftop terrace with 360 degree views of the Gulf, Bay, distant sand dunes, etc... it is just perfect for a family getaway!
Take a stroll down the fishing pier and watch somebody reel in a big catch! If you want to give it a try for yourself, there is a shop that rents fishing pools and sells bait. You can take your
Rent a wave runner for a couple hours and ride around in the Bay. There are a lot of little coves that are fun to explore!
You are welcome to use all the amenities located on both sides of Destin West Beach & Bay Resort.
This whole strip is filled with places to eat, shop, & play... and it is all within walking distance from Destin West Resort!
Take a morning stroll down the beach and enjoy the untouched sand dunes and quiet beach. There are a couple miles of protected beaches right down the beach from Destin West. There is no better way
The Google Maps photos is a couple years old, but Destin West has added a beautiful Walking Bridge that connects the two sides of the resort! It makes it a breeze to get to all the amazing amenities!

My family and I really enjoyed your place. We stayed the week of June 24-July 1st. It was fun and relaxing. The kids never came out of the lazy river which was fine by me. We enjoyed the deep sea fishing trip to the Gulf where we all caught fish and had them freshly prepared at AJ's. Jessica is a good person to deal with. we plan to visit again. Thanks, Tom

Condo was nice. Decorations were totally updated and tasteful. Not really a 2 bedroom though, because the bunkroom does not have a door on it. We have 2 very small children so it was not as easy for them to go to sleep with all the light coming in. Baby had to sleep in pack n play in bathroom. For older children, this would be great! They would love the bunks. I wasn't fond of the location on Okaloosa Island. Kind of an older area. Had always stayed in Destin before. The drive to Destin every day wasn't too bad though. About 5-7 miles. I just prefer to be in the heart of it all. The pool is AWESOME!! Made up for the location and the smaller size of the condo. May is the perfect month to vacation down there. Crowds are down and the weather is perfect!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Jessicca, We had a marvelous time in Destin. Your condo is very nice and the view from the balcony is wonderful. The condo is furnished very well and it is very comfortable. We were impressed by the restaurants in Destine and the shopping areas. The Village of Baytowne and the outlets were magnificent.You have to visit the area to really appreciate how nice it is. I would like to thank you for your help and support. The month we were at your condo was a delight and a great experience for us. We will certaily recommend your condo to all our friends. We had a wonderful week at the Condo. Besides going to the beach and walking the boardwalk, we spent hours floating on the condo's exclusive Lazy River EVERY afternoon. There are so many things to do in the area, and we were particularly impressed with the many neat restaurants on the water towards Destin.Besides all the comforts of home, the Condo's top floor (a floor above the condo itself) was available to enjoy sunsets, sunbathe or take in a 360 degree view of the area. We also really liked Sandestin’s "Village of Baytowne Wharf", a large pedestrian village which features many specialty merchants, boutique shops, eateries and nightclubs.

Awesome! We stayed the week after hurricane Dennis. Jessica was very supportive and helpful in finding out the condition of the property and the Destin area. She was very understanding and sympathetic to our vacation situation. Fortunately the Condo and area was mostly unscathed by the hurricane. We really enjoyed our stay and the Condo was superlative. We enjoyed the Destin West Bayside penthouse and amenities of the condo and it's sister properties so much, that we have already booked it again for next year. If you want a nice vacation at a wonderful property with a pleasant, helpful, compassionate renter, look no more! Everything about the condo, its furnishings, equipment and even dishes and cookware were top-notch. The property management staff was courteous, pleasant and helpful. I dropped my new sunglasses down the elevator shaft from the second floor. My wife ask the sales agents on the site and we had them back within an hour. I applaud Jessica and her partners. You will be a hero to anyone you recommend to stay here and they take your advice. Thanks Jessica and I will talk to you next year.

Jessica, Thank you so much for all your help and support in our recent "Dearly Departed Vacation"! haha! We will most certainly try again! To everyone else, our recently scheduled vacation was scheduled to start the day the Hurricane Dennis decided to visit the Destin area!! Everything was scheduled, paid for, and definite plans made!! Needless to say, we were unable to take this trip. Destin was without power several days after "Dennis", which made it impossible to visit. In case anyone has any questions or concerns about paying "up-front" and losing their deposit or Rental fee.....HAVE NO FEAR!...Jessica was awesome! She not only refunded all monies promptly, she stayed in touch with me at all times before, during, and post-Dennis. This had to have been hard on her, as she was on her personal vacation at the time. I cant wait to reschedule our vacation to Destin, and I would NOT condiser staying any where else. I don't think there is anyone else there who is as caring and courteous! Thanks Jessica, for all your hard work on making the so much easier for us!! Hope to see you soon!! Darla Farmer
