SNOWBIRDS - Enjoy a super low monthly rate, long walks under waving palms, bike rides next to the dunes, and golf overlooking the water. Why put up with ice and snow when you can stay with us instead?

Perfect for the kids to splash around after a full day at the beach (or for the adults only after the kids go to bed!). The pool's heated naturally by the sun, and it's not too early to start planning Spring Break, graduation week, and summer vacation.
ABOUT OUR HOME - Walk to the beach from our great family home at the gateway to Wild Dunes. We're nestled in the midst of hundred-year-old live oaks and majestic palms, yet right across the street from a beautiful WIDE unspoiled beach! It's the best beach in the region.
This home is perfect for families who want togetherness as well as some private time apart! We have two living rooms, each with satellite TV, and foosball table upstairs for a little fun competition. The big yard features our very own pool with lots of privacy, surrounded by hundred year live oaks. And we're right on the bike path so you can get anywhere in Wild Dunes easily without the need to get in the car.
On the screened porch, there's a table and chairs for 6; relax under the ceiling fan and enjoy the chirping birds in the morning and pleasant breezes through the day. We have both a gas and a charcoal grill ready for that fresh Shem Creek seafood right off the boat, or a juicy steak with some nice plump grilled vidalia onions and corn on the cob.
The kitchen has everything you need to make an elaborate Low Country shrimp boil, or quick coffee and toast before you head out to the beach or golf. The blender and ice maker are ready to whip up some tropical drinks. The kitchen seats four up at the bar, and is open to the dining area with a table for seven. You will like the less glamourous touches we provide like dishwasher detergent, dish soap, hand soap, paper towels and TP so you don't have to buy these.
When it's time to relax, take your pick - upstairs or downstairs living room! Each has satellite TV and DVD player, and we provide a selection of DVD movies right in the house for you to enjoy while being our guest. Like games? Try our new Foosball table in the upstairs living room - better yet, park all the kids upstairs for a noisy Foosball game while the adults relax downstairs with a cool beverage and some jazz. High speed secure wi-fi is available from any room in the house if you need to surf the web and catch up on email. Or settle in with one of our paperback books. We want you to enjoy these extra special items while you're here.
Just added - new top-of-the-line sleeper sofa downstairs, and a new cushy love seat - ready for you to sink into for some major post-shower relaxation after a day of too much sun and sand.
At bedtime, the master suite has just been remodeled with its own private bath (and water closet!). Relax in the queen-size bed and watch Oprah or American Idol on TV. Downstairs living room has brand new top-of-the-line queen sleeper sofa. Upstairs, two bright and cheery guest bedrooms have queen-size beds, and another sleeping area has two twin beds as well as a queen sleeper sofa. Another full bath plus half-bath complete the accomodations. There's new comforters/quilts on the beds, you'll love them. Oh - you'll need to bring sheets and towels, and if you don't have the right sizes just borrow from your neighbors! This is a great way to save money! (You can also rent these, but really why spend the money...)
Bring your basketball, we've got a goal and great flat area for shooting hoops. The big yard is ready for your volleyball or badminton net, picnics, or just enjoying the breeze wafting through the hundred-year-old live oaks and palms. Bike to the marina to see the yachts, and do a little fishing off the bridge - maybe you'll get lucky!
There is a washer and dryer, but who has time to do laundry with all the amenities of Wild Dunes at your doorstep and Charleston just 20 minutes away! And you'll be pleased to know that departure cleaning is included in the rental rate when you stay 3+ nights.
We're going green - front-load washer and new plumbing fixtures conserve water. Salt cleansing system in pool saves harsh chlorine chemicals. And we're replacing light bulbs with flourescents and halogens to save energy. Please do your part too and help us take care of our earth.
The home is in the family-friendly, tranquil Abalone Alley cul-de-sac, right across the street from the Citidel beach house and a great wide uncrowded unspoiled beach. The kids can take their bikes for a ride anywhere in Wild Dunes - check out the wild life (turtles and gators in the lagoons, exotic birds in the lagoon island trees, butterflies galore), take a ride to the marina to see the boats, or head for a super long ride down the beach - can you make it all the way to the end of the island?

Had a wonderful time with perfect weather. We made it to the beach with the pups about every day. Kayaked on Shem Creek and ate too much, went on a sunset cruise in the harbor. We look forwardd to our next visit to Abalone Alley.

We had a lovely vacation here. The forecast predicted thunderstorms every day but we had beautiful weather. We enjoyed lougning by the little pool and playing cards on the deck. We spent most of our time playing cornhole, listening to music, and playing on teh beach! We really enjoyed the beach chairs and toys in the garage. Thanks!

Parasailing at marina was fun even though I wa scared at first. The patio at 82 Queen Street was great. We loved the view and food at The Boat House. The house was very comfortable for our family. Links golf course was great.
