Get ready for the popular sports season - we call it sports season because the summer crowds have thinned but the weather's still great for swimming in our very own pool, tennis, golf, biking, jogging and fishing. If you're not into sports, just call it fun season and mosey down the beach looking for shells.
Remember to add the 19.5% tax/res fee to all rates. 3 night minimum stay please. All this AND the Sports Card! Yep we have it. As you know, you must rent a place with a Sports Card if you want access to all the ammeneties of Wild Dunes.
Coming in October 2008 - Our Own Heated Pool! Aaaaahhh! The ultimate in luxury and convenience, floating in the crystal water under the waving palms and live oak branches. The pool's going in this September and we'll post pictures as soon as we can.
ABOUT OUR HOME - Walk to the beach from our great family home at the gateway to Wild Dunes. We're nestled in the midst of hundred-year-old live oaks and majestic palms, yet right across the street from a beautiful WIDE unspoiled beach! It's the best beach in the region.
This home is perfect for families who want togetherness as well as some private time apart! We have two living rooms, each with satellite TV. The big yard features a HEATED POOL with lots of privacy, surrounded by hundred year live oaks. The back yard is ready for your volleyball net or bocci game. And the family favorite is our very own Tin Man in the downstairs living room, ready for you to decorate!
On the screened porch, there's a table and chairs for 6; relax under the ceiling fan and enjoy the chirping birds in the morning and pleasant breezes through the day. The gas grill is ready for that fresh Shem Creek seafood right off the boat, or a juicy steak with some nice plump grilled vidalia onions and corn on the cob.
The kitchen has everything you need to make an elaborate Low Country shrimp boil, or quick coffee and toast before you head out to the beach or golf. The blender and ice maker are ready to whip up some tropical drinks. The kitchen seats four up at the bar, and is open to the dining area with a table for six.
When it's time to relax, take your pick - upstairs or downstairs living room! Each has satellite TV, and we provide a selection of DVD movies right in the house for you to enjoy while being our guest... family favorites, classics, adventures, and Oscar winning selections will save you a trip to the video store. Music's more your taste? Great, pop in one of our CDs and relive the days when hair was big and ties were skinny. High speed secure wi-fi is available from any room in the house if you need to surf the web and catch up on emails. Or settle in with one of our paperback books. We want you to enjoy these extra special items while you're here.
At bedtime, the master bedroom has a queen-size bed as well as its own sink, plus a full bath. Two bright and cheery guest bedrooms have queen-size beds, and another sleeping area has two twin beds as well as a queen sleeper sofa. Another full bath plus half-bath complete the accomodations. You'll need to bring sheets and towels, or you can rent them from our property management firm if you prefer.
Bring your basketball, we've got a goal and great flat area for shooting hoops. The big yard is ready for your volleyball or badminton net, picnics, or just enjoying the breeze wafting through the hundred-year-old live oaks and palms. Bike to the marina to see the yachts, and do a little fishing off the bridge - maybe you'll get lucky!
There is a washer and dryer, but who has time to do laundry with all the amenities of Wild Dunes at your doorstep and Charleston just 20 minutes away! And you'll be pleased to know that departure cleaning is included in the rental rate.
The home is in the family-friendly, tranquil Abalone Alley cul-de-sac, right across the street from the Citidel beach house and a great wide uncrowded unspoiled beach. The kids can take their bikes right to the bike path and ride to the heated pool at the Sports Center, or head to the two ocean-front pools and activity center at the Grand Pavillion.
